This really puts into perspective the gap between the Apex Legends and the Pilots from Titanfall. Pilots would absolutely dominate the games, which makes sense since they're basically the Halo Spartans of the Titanfall universe. The Legends are primarily to entertain but Pilots were bred and equipped for pure warfare.

It's actually very very very easy to learn this by the way, try Titanfall on Game Pass or get it while it's on sale some time. It'll make you fall in love with the modified source engine the games run on.
I love TitanFall and Apex. As cool as this is, it would absolutely break the game. The wall running would have to be slowed way down to make it similar in pace to apex.
it already is very slow by default. mokey has used console commands to increase horizontal speed and acceleration aswell as lower gravity a bit. apex wallrun feels like ass without these changes
Literally all they would need to do is scale back the velocity. In the Shadow Royale game mode we learned how scuffed most of the rock walls were for running since they weren't flat surfaces so there are only so many places you can really take advantage of this mechanic in the first place.
I played Titanfall and Titanfall 2 for almost a year and never once got motion sick. You're too busy looking where you want to go next to be bogged down looking where you are now.
People dont seem to realize how movement friendly worlds edge and olympus are, respawn could add wall running tomorrow and no changes would have to be made to these maps

@@Puffy147x I think he’s referring to making the maps work mechanically, as in having paths to wall run on. Also, regarding a character that could wall run, they probably won’t implement that. They might implement a character who could wall hang or perhaps perch on a wall for a few seconds, but not a whole new mechanic.

I'm s0 player and I think it's not the place to add it. Players have too many hp so it will be like hyperscape and if they remove armor it won't be apex anymore. So I don't want it unless an ltm.

I can pull off that movement in Titanfall, but I have some things to iron out, whereas people who breathe the game casually cross the entire maps in about 5 seconds. If that kind of movement was implemented in Apex, Warzone players could be taken out of the picture since they wouldn't be able to keep up with the human sized target speeding at 80km/h that also shoots back and makes it hard to be shot.
This is why adding a pilot as a new character would be overpowered unless they nerfed the speed or the amount of jumps that you can chain together before touching the ground
@Lis I think that's because either pilots have modified jumpkits or they are hard to use for wall running and double jumping and pilots are just trained to use them properly

ive always said this, Apex maps were weirdly built with wall running in mind. As an old tf2 player, I cant help but see it from time to time with how much lateral space there is to move if we had a wallrunning legend.
I don't play Apex, but hopefully in a future limited time event they can add the Jump Kit to care packages so the Legends can experience how super-maneuverable the Pilots of old were.

that's not phase, thats an unused ability called 3dash, it essentially insta launches you in a direction at huge speed and can be used to gain momentum
It looks real smooth, it's just like every wall, building and obstacle was just perfectly made for wall running and parkour across World's Edge If this was in game, it would break it but somehow it would be absolute fun

I have a theroy that the last Legend for Apex. (Before titanfall 3 launch) would be Jack Cooper, the protagonist of the campaign, and that his passive would be wall running. Tatical would be cloak, and Ult would be a smart pistol.
This is what made Titanfall so great was being able to wall just from building to building like you're fucking Spiderman and pop up being the enemies and make them shit their pants when you unloaded your wingman into the back of their skulls
I seriously miss playing titanfall. I remember hopping on my dads Xbox back in 2014 and being so fascinated about the whole concept of operating and fighting in giant mech suits. Really wish titanfall 2 didn’t flop so hard. Doubt they’d ever consider making a third one after that.
The game didn't really flop. It sold 4 million copies by 2017. I'd imagine it's sold even more since then. Also didn't help that the game was basically sent out to die by EA when it released right between a new Battlefield and CoD game
If they decided to make a wall running character, they really should make them slower and have fuel gauge like Valk's. Hopefully they one day add this into the core game, this looks too much fun.

If they decided to make a wall running character, they really should make them slower and have fuel gauge like Valk's. Hopefully they one day add this into the core game, this looks too much fun.
