Wodaabe haircare in Chad

  • I published this video in 2019 about the butter that nomadic African tribes use in their hair. And since then I have regularly received emails about it. Good news! The butter used by nomadic women in the Sahel for centuries is finally available in our shop. Fulani and Wodabee women call it “nebam nei”, and Chadian women call it “dee-heen baggar”. This butter is effective in detangling dry hair before styling and to keep the hair very supple. It is an essential for nomadic women in Africa and you will not be able to go without it. It provides intense softness, manageability and shine to the hair, combined with an anti-frizz effect.

All that "don't use butters" talk. Pffftt.
Also notice how they only wash their hair one time per month. Every 3 weeks.
Yet their hair isn't broken, chewed or fried. Edges are good too, tho I remember hearing that the Chad women purposely shaved their edge due to it being beautiful to do so in their culture.

I heard Nae Nae's hair boost is really good for growth and thickness! I have jars but I don't want to use it until I wash my hair! I'm going through something and I haven't washed for awhile but I do moisturize detangle and leave in a protective style! I use Curl Peace Tender Headed preepoo and styler and their Healthy Hair butter and braiding glaze to seal and protect!

Thank you for saying this. Most people's hair grows at a rate of 1.25 centimetres or 0.5 inches per month, or about 15 centimetres or 6 inches per year.
However, if your hair doesn't retain moisture, especially the ends( oldest part of the hair), then it will ofcourse dry out and break.
The product here is to help retain moisture and strengthen the hair thus resulting in length maintenance.
