I prefer the Leatherman Free P2, it doesn't have extra knife blades and a saw; it saves weight and cost less. I love the Surge, but it's just too heavy too carry unnoticed. So often enough I carry the Wave+ or Reabar, because I don't feel the weight of those. I think I will get the P2 some day, unless they make something better later on.

I have no interest in any of the Free series. I liken it to a pull top on some can. Yeah, it's easier to open the can, but if what if the stuff inside car isn't good?, what have you gained Leatherman y be on to something, but the Free line ain't it.
i actually like combo blades for utility knives, i'd get the p2. but my wave is still a better tool with the bit extender and micro screwdriver and file. will get the wave+ when it breaks.
The p4 also comes with a full length serrated blade. So you get the full plain edge, and a full serrated edge, and the serrated edge includes a good draw cut point. So ultimately you actually get more utility out of the p4 either way.

Sounds good, thanks for sharing your experience!
Try a good gun belt
Great review! Thanks for pointing out the difference!
Glad it was helpful!
Just picked up a Free P4! Thanks for the review 🤙🏾
Wow enjoy!!
@Tools. Electro. DIY Thanks! I was looking for a more pocket friendly option. I'm not a fan of the serrated blade on the P2
@@b5edc I prefer straight edge knives too.
Free P2 for my money. Don’t need a saw or dedicated, stand alone serrated knife blade. Plus the P2 is lighter and easier to carry.
Sounds good!
Are the pliers spring-loaded?
No
I think the P4 is the perfect Tool 4 left handed people!
Good point!

I think you prefer Wave.

Wave+ is a true classic!
