Is it possible to set a document wide text wrap option as it is in Indesign - so new text boxes/ images placed have a border text wrap of say 12 pt all the way around them? Thanks
You can't set a default for text boxes, but you could format a text box the way you want, and then make that an Asset. See this video: th-cam.com/video/MenwofVemX0/w-d-xo.html
I would like to create a dated planer in publisher where the dates update automatically. I don't want to enter the dates manually. Is this covered in the course? Please advise.
Awesome... Quick question! With an image where I removed the background and did the masking but want to keep a piece of the background to show through but wrap to the guy, I did a duplicate, removed the mask on the bottom layer and used the top layer as text wrap mask. Is there a better way to do that or more efficient since it doubles the image and (just little added info.) I tend to use linked images which works better on the printer's ECRM RIPmate.
If you don't have bracket keys, you could set a custom keyboard shortcut from the Preferences panel. This videos shows how to make custom keyboard shortcuts in Affinity Photo, and it works the same way to make shortcuts in Publisher. :) th-cam.com/video/h7G7xYooA00/w-d-xo.html
I use Pages mostly but it's looking like this one is a strong contender to Page Maker. I don't have this one yet but I am learning Affinity Photo. Great work.
@@AffinityRevolution yup i've seen that one as well as the man on the moon video. i'm looking at how some memes i see on the internet are done. maybe the original face has more complex wrinkles, scars, or partially covered with paint. how do i retain those details realistically as i blend another face onto it?

InDesign has some advanced features that Affinity Publisher is missing (for now), but Affinity covers all the most important things. 😊

I would have done exactly what you did. 🙂
I get as far as select image and when I click open the image is planted in the text wherever the cursor is and it is impossible to resize or move it.
Try de-selecting the text layer, and then place the photo into your document.
