Just as an observation, you can combine two blue items to create a purple even if one of them is cursed. You didn’t have to sell your reg blue Cactus Club for the cursed one. You could’ve bought it and it would have combined cause all of your slots were filled.
Another thing that isn't ever mentioned but weapons shown in the shop are weighted to be more likely be types of weapons you currently have so if you have 4 different kinds of weapon (I.E. unarmed, primitive, support, elemental) you are far less likely to get the upgrades you are hoping to see.
Hey odd! Not sure how many tips youre looking for, but with melee weapons you want to prioritize attack speed over range. When you have high range, the attack animation takes longer and limits how many attacks you're able to get off. Also, it's a nice benefit to stack weapons with the same type tag, i.e. primitive, ethereal, support, as you'll get better and better bonuses. Never be shy about upgrading your luck when it's offered, and make sure to give yourself some kind of defensive ability through lifesteal, regen, armor or max HP so those hefty enemies dont just one shot you! Glad to see you dipping your toes into brotato, loved the VS era (and vampire survivors also has a few new dlc that might be fun to try if youre looking for a nostalgia trip!)

In addition: flat damage upgrades are mostly very effective, especially in combination with percentage based upgrades; but weapons do have independent scaling (I.e. shotgun benefits less from ranged damage per bullet, but it fires more bullets so that offsets the lower gain per bullet)
As someone already mentioned ranged does end up slowing down melee weapons although less than 100 positive range isn't too bad. For melee the attack actually travels out and back before the next attack, but there's more to consider. For straight attacks this is a bigger deal but with weapons that attack in an arc the extra damage against large groups the bigger arc gives you offsets the loss of dps somewhat. Melee attacks hit enemies the entire time they're out as long as an enemy is "touched" One note: unarmed weapons are considered their own category so for a character that lists bonuses to unarmed weapons you're giving up bonuses to use those that aren't tagged with unarmed specifically.
Also picking up the green "coins" is more important than picking up the item crates. The green bits are your money and XP so very important. The item crates and the green fruits all auto pickup at the end of the round.
Generally one of the best tactics in the early round shops is to only buy the weapoons you plan on using and anything that would immediately improve their DPS.

I have to say unless I missed it in the first video that was one of the best first reactions to the bait monsters I have seen. Usually it's death from all their projectiles but since you were brawler you went right in to kill them fast. That's the best way to kill them, before they shoot if you are strong enough.

You did catch the range damage on the gun you were holding. There were others similarly like the cyberball which is based on luck(dice 🎲 next to it) that were essentially not helping with damage as you hoped. In addition you can combine weapons and you buy them from the shop. Instead of selling the Cactus club 2 for the cursed version you could have just bought it and got a cactus club 3 that was cursed.
I would also liked to have seen some more consideration regarding damage numbers. When you're dealing 50-150 damage per hit spawning four 1-damage projectiles vs spawning five 1-damage projectiles is not something that should weigh on one's decision.

The game is more fun when you fully commit into the identity of the build. Using a brawler and then using weapons feels conterintutive. Also I believe Luck helps you get items/weapons that support your build.
Investing into economy is OP. You get to a point where you can buy the run. Movement speed is also good, especially against some of the eletes and bosses.
Wandering bot you say. His colour scheme, design, and name remind me of that one channel called Wanderbots. Hmmmmm. Who knows, maybe you would get a personalised item or a whole character in your name
Love that you're trying out this game; but I would be remiss to not tell you to try out the "Ode to Castlevania" DLC for Vampire Survivors. They've had quite a few updates and DLC since you've last played. I had a blast unlocking everything
I don’t know why you’re bothering to reroll the shop when you’re basically out of money. I would always just avoid re-rolling unless I had a bunch of extra to buy something. It refreshes after the wave anyway. Then again you’ve done better on your first run than I have on most of mine, so… 🤷♂️
I'm confused. In the first video, in the beginning I saw you buy items from the shop and were able to combine it with your already existing weapons, even though you had a full slot. So why are you recycling your items and wasting your chances to get upgraded weapons?
You're impeding your progress a bit by rerolling when you can't afford to buy anything. Instead of spending coins, completing the next level is essentially a free reroll, plus you'll be shown better items instead of locking in everything from the previous wave. By trying to keep everything that looks good you end up always buying things that are slightly behind the curve. For sure there will still be items you want to lock, but you should probably be a little more discriminatory. There's so much good loot you really don't need to worry about missing out!
you missed out on so much damage by walking around all those enemies that you could have been 1 hitting. when I played this character (bought the game because of your first video) I tried to get as close as I could because his damage is really good but the range is really low. you really can just ignore the little enemies while dodging the big ones and trying to get close enough to hit them harvesting works like interest. if you leave the shop while you have money the harvesting will give you extra money on top of what you had. every green thing you don't pick up ends up as x2 on the next wave. you never lose green stuff by not picking it up but if you never pick it up you can't get interest on it I tried to stay as weak as I could to save up as much money as I could so I could buy the really expensive amazing stuff from the shop when it showed up it's really nice that this game will tell you how efficient the items have been that save you money or give you things at the end of every wave you can mouse over your current weapons so see which ones were less effective and try to replace those with weapons that share keywords with the effective weapons. keywords boost the power of your weapons

When you use melee weapons dont increase the range too much as it basically lowers attack speed as the weapons take time to fly out and back
