Don’t leave gems on the ground. Getting the x2 multiplier is at best equivalent to getting 1 gem from killing the enemy in round 1 and then killing another in round 2. At worst, if you leave a x2 gem on the ground, it goes back to the piggy bank, but it seems like you don’t get an additional multiplier! So pick those upgraded gems up as spins as possible!
Yep, if you still have 50 gems left in the bag at the end of the round before the stuff on the ground is added, that's 50 fewer gems total for the run.
This is what I have been trying to tell him since his first video on the game and he just hasn't seen the comment yet. Shop prices only go up so every round you put a coin off devalues that coin further.
This is the first time I'm more familiar with the game than the streamer I'm watching; I finally understand how all the frustrated commenters on other videos feel! Still fun to watch though, keep it up!
37:54 just in case as you seemed confused that the diver have a harpoon gun while doing -100% ranged and scaling with melee, harpoon gun is a special weapons that scale with both melee and ranged damage so the harpoon gun with him is actually quite decent.
I'm only 2 minutes in but let me backseat a little bit. Playing into the characters strength is kinda important. On ranger you get bonus ranged damage. Since ranged damage is a flat damage increase it works really well with fast firing weapons like the smg or minigun. Also luck is really important imo.
He said he needed damage, and then on the next level-up took 9% Speed instead of 12% Damage. I think I’m missing something: What makes the latter less preferable?
I still struggle with the ranger, I’m not sure how you didn’t die on this run honestly, I’ve not played with dlc but it looks like the curse really helps! Well done on the win but try to lean into the character a bit more it just makes the runs a bit different form one another
Ethereal weapons are the best mid game because any stat points you earn from it are permanently added to your character. It's what helps me get through difficulty 5 runs.
You leaving points on the ground for the 2x multiplier isn’t giving you a bonus. It’s just giving you a chance to pick up what you missed on the previous round. If it was a 3x it would a bonus, 2x is catching back up. Or am I being silly?
I still don't understand why you keep rerolling when you aren't gonna have enough money to buy anything _from_ that reroll. Especially because each reroll gets more expensive and seems to make items more expensive. Or when you lock an item you can afford and reroll, which means you won't get as many new things, instead of just buying that item.
I'd assume his logic is that it gives him more chances at finding things he wants. If he's happy with his current stats, it kinda makes sense to spend the extra to find more stuff to help you in the future even if you don't get it now. I do think he over uses it, but I do it maybe once or twice when I'm happy with where I am.
This game is like digital cocain. Once started its hard to let go. My ranger is sitting in Danger 5 but for I do not make it beyond the level 18 bosses on different loadout approaches. Guess this is the part where I might have to switch to manual targeting.
Anyone waiting for the DLC on Switch it's been delayed to next year but came out on PS4/PS5 on Dec 12th. It's cheap enough I will just double dip and get to play through the game from a fresh start again.
I dislike that you have to choose between 20 and endless. I think you should be able to choose endless after beating 20. But I assume there is some very logical reason for that from the devs.
And gain nothing. One crystal is worth one material. The multiplier doubles this. So you get two materials for one crystal. You just postpone the pickup, but also lose some in the worst case. From what I can see, there is no incentive to not pick up a crystal, unless XP work a bit different between the rounds.
@Seelenoede I don't know exactly how it works but seems beneficial to get the multiplier built up in the early rounds because the tougher enemies in later rounds drop bigger crystals so then you're leaving a crystal worth one but picking up a crystal worth two or three and getting it doubled
@@siddatroid137 the crystal is always worth one. There only have different sprites. Bagged materials are just a "pick up later" mechanic. Bigger enemies just drop more stuff.
@@siddatroid137 You always want to pick up all the materials since leaving them for the next round does not give you more. You just "collect" what you missed. The items get more expensive every round tho.

Exactly! It's not "i'm getting more next round", it's "i can recover some of what i lost in previos"

Also prices of items go up with each wave, so it's better to spend early!

We for sure need more brotatos!
This is the perfect low-stakes accompaniment to the XCOM2 playthrough
Lmao, "Sausage, I like." Never change Odd, never change.

He was about to buy the shackles, capping his speed. In this case the speed was a wiser choice, as it would not be a choice for the rest of the run.
Pacifist next. Hope you keep playing!!
It's so fun and mildly irritating to watch someone learn this game. Only in the good ways though!
I know I can't wait for him to read comments lol

Hahaha, classic: buying the high priced item and afterwards the price-reducing one. :-D
Keep em coming.
Love that you're loving this game
Hey Odd!! Long time no talk 😅. Since you like this game, I suggest you try Vampires Survivors. I assure you you're going to LOVE it.

RIP Metal Slug Tactics😢
Hey Chris have you played a game called stacklands? I think you would like it
Great run :)
This game is hard to atop playing sometimes

What's your next RPG? You haven't played RPG for a long time.

My ranger run took 3 tries because of one wrong move 😢

That Black Flag seemed like a terrible ROI.
Please pay attention to the damage types of the weapons you pick up! Your taser was terrible.
On the first round you start with 30 green things so you're better off leaving the ones the enemies drop for the second wave multipliers
