Heysham was a wonderland as a child. the cycle along the promenade from Morecambe, the churches on Salem. the nettle beer and fresh rock (candy). the trinkets the weighing chair. excitement building along the village High St to fantasyland but irl in the 60/70s 'Heysham Head'!!! ornate gardens full of entertainment, a zoo, a mini fair and a pro standard go kart track.. etc. etc.. the power station killed the village, stone dead.
What a tranquil looking place. The church is a beauty. Loved all the nature sounds and the flowers. Not sure about clowns in the garden though.!! Cheers for showing us around 🍻
It is a nice place to go for an afternoon, the buses were a little confusing so best go by car. I should probably have added a trigger warning for that clown! Thank you for dropping by again!
