Tarn in IDW is shorter than Megatron, he appears big because apart from Magnus and Megs most of the main Lost Light bots are on the smaller side of the scale. I'm hoping for at least Nickel when it comes to the rest of the DJD, she'd be a neat Core class or accessoried Deluxe.
@@PerspectiveEnd TFWiki has a panel of Tarn shaking hands with Skids. Looks about Seeker/ Optimus size, to me. Even grabbed my Skids to compare. And sizes in the comics & G1 cartoon (it's more consistent, once they moved to CGI) are inconsistent, depending on how careful the artist is being & what the story calls for. I can't imagine Hasbro passing on the chance to do a Leader that isn't that complex, but they probably found the Skids panel & went with that as the scale. Further down Tarn's TFWiki, there's a pic that has him the same size as Deathsaurus. I'd rather get a wider release Voyager, than force a bigger size class, that's often harder to find, just to cash in. I doubt Megatron would rebuild an Autobot he turned that powerful. Big & strong, yes. Bigger & stronger than him, no. What if he reverted? Sorry for the multiple pings, if that happened. @@remus_lupin He's about perfect in scale to the Gamer edition WFC Optimus, and his posing is so good that I currently have him on display catching Optimus' axe and kicking him in the chest in the same motion.
This is for sure one of the best voyagers Hasbro’s come out with, there’s no denying that! Tarn is such a solid figure, everything from the quality to the paint is amazing and grade A. Hope Hasbro makes more DJD members because we not the entire set!
Well...I wasn't expecting that. Out of all the things to complain about, I never would've expected the size and the damn width of the figure. I've heard so many people praise how thin this guy is and that he has zero kibble, which in of itself is a miracle. But the sagging elbows really do kill it for me. I did fix mine with super glue so they are at least sturdy enough to hold his cannon up, but the fact that I had to do that combined with the fact that Hasbro decided that THIS figure of all of Legacy needed gap fillets for EVERYTHING made it so annoying. Hollowness isn't bad because it let's you fix figures like this. And if not, just give us screws that we can take out. I do like this thing, but I think I like it more for the acknowledgement of the character than the actual toy.
To be fair that's not my real issue. My real issue is just those damn shoulders. It should have been bigger. The character is a bigger one in the comics, so there's no reason for it to be below average, but it's the Shoulders. It's all them. Everything else was forgivable.
I never really liked how edgy the IDW comics were but I loved Tarn. The way he went from faux class to full brutality without warning added so much tension to every book he appeared in. His interactions with Megatron were some of my favorite in all Transformers. When I see a Tarn I’m getting him, even if he’s not the flawless diamond the character deserves.
I didn't really see IDW as Edgy, not more than most comic books. All Hail Megatron was Edgy but most of it was normal, and I think all hail was like that because it was trying to be like the movies. Thing is this could have been so close to flawless if it weren't for those shoulders.

There’s a chance I’ve just stumbled into all of the darkest parts of the universe but everything I’ve seen has been pretty edgy. No shade I’d you like that kind of thing, it’s just not for me.

1- Grimlock is just smaller in IDW than in G1, though... and Tarn wasn´t as big as him, Tesarus and Helex were. Always thought that a good Tarn figure should be a voyager that was slightly smaller than Megatron (maybe a comparison with Siege Megs is needed here) while Helex and Tesarus are leader class (Grimlock size) Kaon is a large deluxe with lots of panneling to sit a voyager Optimus on his electric chair mode, Vos a core class/battlemaster so Tarn can wield it in his sniper mode, then core class Nickel. Oh, and micromaster Pet Ambus. 2- Isn´t Overlord the one that scares the Autobots the most, or Sixshot? Tarn isn´t even a phase-sixer... it scares other decepticons the most, that is true. This actually would scale fine with titans return Overlord... 3- In the website TFSafari there´s already an upgrade kit for Tarn, and it includes pannels to hide away his hands in alt-mode.
1 Grimlock isn't big in G1, he's the same size as Optimus, and I posted a picture of him in IDW where you can see his scale in comparison to regular sized dudes. Multiple Regular Dudes could ride on his back. 2 Tarn is a Phase Sixer. He took the super fuel, and if you remember he was introduced Killing a Phaze Sixer. 3 Hopefully there's one for the shoulders because that's really what kills it for me.
@@PerspectiveEnd Tarn is not a phase sixer... it´s not the super fuel that made them such, but the alloy in their underskeleton. As for how they killed BlackShadow, well, phase sixers aren´t immune to Tarn´s voice, and its first effect is paralysis. As for the Glitch/Roller switch... I mean, it´s not the only fail of the saga, and not my main issue. My main issue is Anode, and how she should have needed Rung´s crystal to fix Lug, and how that whole thing did not carry any consequences for her. I can see why Roller wouldn´t be it, as he´s a point one percenter and not a member of Shockwave Xavier´s school for gifted youngsters, and it somehow feels like an evolution of Glitch power. As for empurata being unfixable... the only 2 characters that we´ve confirmed had it done to them besides Gltich are Shockwave, who was too short on emotions to care to fix it, and Whirl, who seems like he never got actual hands instead of claws because he wanted to keep being angry at the universe. And also, cared more about his clock-making hands than his face.
Perspective, have you got your hands on the new Legacy Shrapnel yet? Apart from his slightly skinny waist and typically simple enough transformation, he's SOOOOOO good!
I love Legacy Shrapnel so much, even though like you said the transformation is simple, it still feels to me like there is so much more going on compared to kickback. My only issue with him is the complete lack of heels means he really likes falling over if you have him in the wrong pose. I just wish I had more blast effect pieces since he is just covered in ports, but I only have what came with the titans and commanders. Also praise the lack of energon weapon that has to sit off to the side but is still needed to gap fill the alt mode like kickback's thorax "blades"
This tarn is in my top 10 this year like the way it looks gives me vibes that I doesn't look like it can transform and yet it can I don't mind the transformation but this I have to say is the best transformers figure done by Hasbro and best decepticon with out a doubt.
I think Tarns altmode is able to tread the delicate line of "it's a tank" and "it's alien" Also, I ask a question about what autobots would you choose for a team of 12 (7 bots and a team of 5), so now I ask what 12 cons would you would have (7 and team of 5). Which bot, what would they turn into, and what personality would you give them.
Maybe that's just it. I don't remember you asking me before. Like what am I choosing them for? Combat effectiveness or like how much I want to write for them?

I don't have Tarn yet but I do have Leo Prime and the way you described your reaction to getting Tarn is exactly how I felt getting Leo. He's very similar in that he's shockingly small for a voyager and feels almost perfect but has a few minor but glaring flaws that hold him back

Except we see in the comic him Fight Grimlock in hand to hand and he was as tall as Grimlock and Beefier. We also can see by the Roller image I posted in this video what his size would be in comparison to Pax. Even if we discount roller being Tarn, it'd be a bad miss direct if he was smaller than the guy they were misdirecting to.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah, but that’s his first appearance, that can always be chalked up to early instalment weirdness. In everything else I can find, he’s slightly shorter than Megatron. Just look at his, Megatron and Overlord’s confrontation. A scene were they’re just talking is a far more accurate depiction of scale in my opinion, and if you were expecting a grimlock sized figure out the voyager price point, frankly you were bound for disappointment. He is far too thin though, that’s definitely true.
Actually I remember in TFnation Manchester can’t remember who but the guy who designed Tarantulas was there and said he just made the designs and didn’t really know how they would transform and I was like “Dam third party designers must hate this guy” Also he did mention something about Earthspark Tarantulas
I know this may sound weird but, maybe it would’ve been better if they made Tarn a leader class, just slightly taller than what he is right now, give him reworked shoulders and more bulk, and to make the price worth it, put in a core class nickel. That could pose unlike wheelie.
I don’t know how Tarn is so hard to find nowadays, but I NEED this guy, j can handle the fact that he is not the size of Grimlock, but I feel this is the best CHUG version of the Tarn (and the only one) but how and why is he so rare, I can’t find him

Yeah the theory about Roller being Tarn makes more sense than Tarn being Glitch mostly because he claims the talk killing was a skill not a evolution of his point one percenter spark
I managed to pick up a Buzzworthy Bumblebee Jazz today, and a neat little ROTB Skullcruncher that transforms from Crocodile to a cannon for larger figures. Also dang, I heard nothing but praise for this figure.
Size is a Bit inconsistent, but you can see in Rollers Bio that I showed in this video, what his size is compared to Orion Paxes, so that's the minimum for how big he could be. However we do see in his First on panel appearance when they wreck the Scavengers, he fights Grimlock, and they are of equal size, and he Dominates Grimlock, who was mentally impaired at the time, but none the less he didn't know that and was disappointed that Grimlock couldn't even put up any kind of fight, because he was hoping that Grimlock could be even remotely a good time. And Tarn is shown to be a coward if the thinks he could lose, so the fact that he didn't try to cheat and actually wanted a fight shows that he's supremely confident that Grimlock isn't a threat to him even at full strength. But this was a Question about size, and in that fight Tarn was bigger than Grimlock.
I just got him today after paying way too much on Hasbro pulse, and I absolutely love him, my only problems are that his cannon doesn't lock in on his arm and his knee pads stick out in his alt mode. Also his eyes are hard to see and I wish his mask could come off. He is now one of my favorite figures ever.
Tarn is the embodyment of horror. And he is smaller than Optimus prime? Cmon hasbro, if they make an oversized version I will not hesitate for a second to buy it.
I was able to get Tarn a bit early winning him from a raffle but after receiving around December, I just haven’t touched him since. Many of the points you’ve discussed is what I found problems with the figure. I was so excited when he was announced but I wish he was sooo much better. My favorite figure from the wave is Lio Convoy/Prime and I haven’t stopped messing with him since I got him.
It’s alright all things considered. It has great posing and great silhouettes. But it’s not gods gift to this earth. The transformation is boring and the chest on mine pops off. But hey I’m glad to have him.
My first instinct is that it doesn't have good posing, but no it's really good on that front, it's just those damn shoulders are so ugly it ruins that for me.
I am so glad Hasbro finally acknowledges IDW characters in this year. So far, aside from the thinness, I do really like this figure - that said I do get your issues with the figure. Half wondering if we'll ever get the other DJD, though I imagine Vos is gonna have his alt mode changed (unless the dual fusion cannons on Tarn are meant to reference Vos' rifle mode).
I’m not saying it’s not treat that we’re getting him but they’ve acknowledged IDW characters before now: several generations figures based on IDW designs for starters, Drift getting brought into the toyline at lightning speed, and more recently stuff like TR Nautica and the little battlemaster Rung
I ironically had the opposite issue trying to get this guy. I ordered him on Amazon UK, and he wasn't to ship until March. Then wave 1 released in February. I decided to wait for Tarn, thinking it would be worth it. My two Scraphooks arrived ahead of schedule, but Tarn was nowhere in sighed. When the Date for him to ship came, It Didn't. I was passing my local toy store, went fuck it, and bought him and canceled my order I agree with everything tbh, He could have been taller and wider and those shoulders drive me mad. Rn, I have him crushing a Strafe i had and holding the Matrix chain in a power stance and I think thats how he will stay I still love him to death, but he ain't perfect
It sounds like you managed to get him into something cooler than I've been able to figure out. God I wish the shoulders were better, everything else was forgivable.
I have a way that this could have been fucking perfect. 1: Make his shoulders normal 2: Make him the height of Kingdom Galvatron 3: Stick his backpack and calves out to make him have more depth 4: Add an alternate head with the mask off 5: Add an ab crunch 6: Have the hands flip away in alt mode 7: *slightly* darker purple 8: Charge leader price That would be literally perfect
A shame he wasn't as good as you hoped. I got Legacy RID Scourge come yesterday and although I haven't transformed him yet (mostly because I'm lazy and partially because I'm terrified of breaking any of my figures) his truck mode is godly. I absolutely love trucks with trailers. It's part of the reason I want Earthrise Optimus so bad.
I found a Tarn at my local Target but ended up leaving him there. For whatever reason he scanned for $45. Wasn't sure if maybe this was just the next inflation step up in prices overall, or just a one off pricing system F'up.

He looks even more terrifying with the light piping. Because either he looks like he's dead, which is just horrifying, or it looks like he's about to rip you in half
Finally something actually good… Not perfect but still ok Here’s me just ranting below: First is the size, he has this weird feeling that he feels small but is at the same height as Optimus so I’m not sure, secondly, the hot rod shoulders suck like really it sucks so much, in fact if that problem was fixed I would give it a 9/10 or a 10/10. Next is the arm cannon, I don’t know if it’s my copy or something but the connector that connects with the “guns” is just loose that if I nudge it, it will swivel around. And the arms seem too short… Anyways thanks for listening to me and “wasting your time” : ) Also at the end of the video it cuts off XD

The shoulder articulation doesnt bother me too much, but I agree it would have been better to put the joint on the arm. Will update this in a couple of days when I've had a chance to get him in hand.
@PerspectiveEnd So it arrived last night with a bunch of other figures and it's an odd one, I like the look, it's a striking figure and articulation is ok, shoulder joints dont bother me as expected but as you noted it's just too small in comparison with other figures, makes it feel slight and just less imposing than if it was 30 to 50 % larger. I got Skyquake as well and while my opinions on that figure are another thing entirely, the mass difference is really noticable. Still think its overall a quality figure, but falls just short of being amazing.
I found him at Target but they wanted $44.99 for some reason, so I wound up ordering him from Pulse. I feel like the fake wheels are a cost cutting measure from some galaxy brain at Hasbro who doesn't know how treads work.

I've been wanting to get this but the only thing that holds me back is the size. I'm not a scale nut but I agree tarn should be a big ass boy. I feel like they just didn't want to make him bigger than megatron or the same size as him, it's weird. Also it's so obvious it was roller it's painful they switched it to glitch. I've been reading the comics and haven't even finished them yet and even tho Ik it's glitch it's all pointing to roller in the most obvious non obvious way. One of idws misses with that reveal but tarn is still amazing
I suppose I didn't mind the scaling difference because the rest of the plastic got used to fill almost every single gap on the figure. I showed him to my friend who hasn't collected a new Transformer in about a decade, and he was surprised that it actually transformed since the robot mode was so clean. I also feel like Jhiaxus is built like an 80s Action Character, so he'd be buffer than anybody except Prime, Megs or the Dinobots. Would've definitely been cooler at leader scale, and I 100% agree about the clear plastic chest; it should've been gray plastic that was sturdily pinned on. I've figured out the trick to transforming him correctly without popping it off, but it would've been nicer if I didn't have to worry about it
I mean even if that's the case. Tarn is supposed to be a literal giant with more in common with a Monster than a person. And Honestly none of that is my real issue. My real issue is the shoulders.
The same thing happened to me with Amazon. They pushed back the delivery date about a month and then it came in 3 days later. So I still got it at a decent time. But I agree, the first thing I though was that he is very thin
This truly is a connundrum, yea, he felt really flat to me in his robot mode, but I wasn't really bothered by it, cause I wasn't planning on getting him anyways. But you know how you can "justify it"? You can atribute it to Legacy's goal to chuggify/g1-ify the characters, so, for tarn, they took away his hulking nature. But that might still not work, for you, even if it's a thing.
When I heard that Legacy Evolution was going to have Tarn, I was excited. But when his figure was revealed, it was 50/50. His molded/sculpted design from head to toe and coloration all around is cool. But he looks 2-D, and not as big as I wish he was. He should have been taller, a leader class figure. And for his flat body to be more bulked up. That's just my opinion. I still got his Legacy Evolution figure anyways as he is an interesting character. Bleeding Decepticon allegiance and killing those who turn their backs on the Decepticon cause. -I would like to see Hasbro give us the rest of the Decepticon Justice Division to complete the team, but I think Tarn may be the only acceptable one, since the other characters are not family friendly. Maybe Nickel for core class would have a chance.
I definitely hope they do more of the IDW Characters especially the DJD, but man I wish this things shoulders were better, and bigger would make this thing cooler.
he's got that stick-build. in hindsight, it makes sense with what the charather is supposed to be AFTER the reveal, but yea, for half of the comic he's depicted as "fully big", not "scrawny with a big chest pieces" and we expected that
I remember when micromaster Rung came out and I was so pleasantly surprised to see an idw character in official toy form. I never would have guessed that we would be getting something this awesome.
Maybe glitch used his "gift" to create a new constructed cold body and move his essential parts into it. A tarn spotlight series would have been great, with his seduction to decepticonism and sparring with megatron like overlord did.
I find that this has a few points in it's favor, like greater leg poseeablity, and a better torso, but over all I'd go with the MMC personally. I was really hoping this would replace that older MMC figure for me, but not with those shoulders, and not with how flat it feels.
He looks so good and I am so excited to hopefully find him. I haven't gotten far enough to see him in the comics yet but just the basic concept is enough for me to pick him up, even if the Roller twist would've worked better. Honestly that whole point about how the Decepticons could corrupt someone that close to Optimus and the effect that has on him sounds so good and heartbreaking like Blackarachnia in Animated but without the restraints of keeping stuff aimed at a general audience. (And even then she freaked me out when I was little!)

I've already ended up spoiling myself on TFWiki about who Onyx Prime is because I wanted to know if the Maximals and Predacons were in IDW I'm just curious to see how it plays out. It's kinda like knowing the twist in the first Scream, just has me clue hunting. Unless of course the twist is like you said completely ludicrous just to throw people off. Would I prefer goin in blind? Yeah, but got no one to blame for myself on the Onyx Prime one.
While i have mixed feeling for Tarn in the comic, I absolutely love him in the Cyberverse cartoon. I like that he is basically everything wrong with Megatron Decepticon boils down into a single bot, his final battle with Soundwave is just “chef’s kiss” into the figure, What else that I can say, that this is one of the best if not the greatest Voyager toy Hasbro have ever produced. on another hand I was slightly disappointed that he wasn't Cyberverse Inspired. oh well. maybe Upgrade kit or Shapeways will give us that.
4:30 I fell like this can be explain why can can't shut off machines with a touch and can with his voice with his upgrades when he became Tarn. Glitch has claw like hands that are more closer to a grabby claw machine than the typical cybertronian. However Tarn has normal hands so, at least I think, they swapped out his hands for something more normal. However since he doesn't have his original hands he could no longer use his powers in a similar vain to Shigaraki from MHA who can turn anything he touches to dust when he touches it with all five of his fingers but couldn't when three of them were broken on one of his hands during his battle with Re Destro. However with Tarn never using the powers his abilities this power began to become unstable or grew to the point where he could use his voice rather than his hands to kill his opponents. Going back to the Shigaraki comparison, his powers evolved in the same fight where his hand was broken which led to him not needing all five fingers to activate his abilities. I think this is what happened to Tarn, he lost his hand that worked with his powers which lead to it evolving to where he could use his voice instead. At least, that's how I see it.
Glitch had the Claw hands because he was Empurataed for being a Outlier. Before that he had normal hands, and they made no mention of his power changing after he had his original face and hands removed.

I personally love this figure. I agree that he should be bigger and damn those shoulders are an annoying and easily avoidable decision. But the sheer posing and presence makes it my favourite figure in my current collection. Mine really got fricked by the legacy qc though. Almost everything was loose, one of the cannons lower 5mm pegs got cut off and AN ENTIRE ONE-WAY PIN was missing out of the box. It really made me disappointed in the figure overall. Though I'm glad to hear that you didn't have any big tolerance issues.
Question: so I hopped on the dinobots way too late and I only have Sludge, dyt 86 grimlock is worth 130? Been looking everywhere, lowest I've seen, should I do it? Or wait til the weird g2 or shattered glass ones come out?
I'd say no. I constantly hear Rumblings about Rereleases, and there's the G2 and SG version for sure coming, so I'd say hold onto your money and go for those or find a better deal, and maybe they will just do a regular Rerelease soon.
my only beef with this toy is the light piping on the head. The hole on top is so small sufficient light will never enter it unless you hold a flashlight right up to it.
One thing about the tank mode that I think goes unappreciated imo, is the amount of 5mm ports on it. Meaning you can make just an awful giga-killdozer with it, it's beautiful. In other news, I did it! I found Animated Prowl along with most of his wave 2 colleague at... er GameStop of all places, don't know why. But he's worth, nice to see an ab-crunch on a mainline figure. It's also nice to have a thinner figure with really good ass tolerances.
I have a similar feeling that I "should" like it more than I actually do. Agree that Tarn feels a bit too slight, and needed to be taller, or beefier, or both.
Firstly, I just wanna bring back an old Perspective meme: "I've been denied everything... even my - H O O T E R S." Second, the way you describe what they did with Tarn, making him Glitch because they found Roller out too early, I'm instantly reminded that DC did the exact same thing in Crisis in Time, by making Monarch's identity The Hawk instead of Captain Atom. Essentially, they made a red herring when it didn't make any sense because they still wanted a twist. - M Night Shyamalan musta ghostwrote for MTMTE, and also DC. Third, about the figure, I bought this along with Legacy Breakdown and core class Spike, and of the three, Tarn was the best. He could stand to be a little bigger, especially since he looks off next to Megs, but I'm not too mad at it. If an upgrade kit comes and gives him a better head, I will definitely pick it up, like I plan to with TMII Megs. But this figure is not too bad. Lastly, I posted a comment to your vid about the curse, and I don't know if you saw it, but I mentioned all the IDW stuff that they coulda made in Legacy, but we only got Tarn and Blurr for some reason.
Man I needed to do some Audio gags with this but I just didn't think too. I wish I had more time to work on this one. I would assume this would be the best of the three of those yes, but what's wrong with the head in your eyes. For me it's all about the terribleness of the shoulders. Hopefully that means they will do more. I mean this stuff is selling.

Fingers crossed for a 3rd party, beefier upscale to leader size. 🤔 This figure is like a tasty cake that's just barely coated in a mind-blowing, palate-exploding, delicious icing, giving you a taste of what could be above and beyond, but just stopping shy of being thickly coated in that same icing. (But hey, first official IDW Tarn from Hasbro, still a worthwhile morsel.)
I’m really glad I got the oversized black mamba ko of this mold. Yeah the shoulders ass and the ko is the wrong shade of purple but the sheer size and incorporation of diecast makes it FEEL like tarn
Didn't think I could agree with you more here. I mean, I'm overall happy with him, but I, too, found him oddly flat and weirdly small for the kind of character he's supposed to be. Oh, and the "mafia" elbows are frustratingly too loose for my liking, especially with the cannon attached. I like him overall thanks to his otherwise awesome look, fantastic posability, and enjoyable transformation into a quite good alt mode, but I found myself more impressed with Lio Convoy at the end of the day. That one legitimately blows the Masterpiece out of the water.
Perhaps he could do to be at least as tall as Megatron and Optimus but I still think this Tarn is still one of the best voyagers we’ve got recently. Ive never read the IDW comics but I just love all the purple, and his imposing big shoulder proportions 💜 And his voyager size does mean we can get away with getting leader-class figures of his BIG boy subordinates Helex and Tesarus, that is if Hasbro aren’t cowards enough to make TFs that basically turn into torture machines 😅
The Purple does look nice. I got no problem with the deco. I feel like Lelex and Tesarus only really make sense as commanders as Tesarus's Head is the size of Grimlocks TORSO in the comics.
Definitely a really good Voyager figure recently, and the best figure of Wave 1 Honestly Hasbro has been killing it with Voyagers nowadays, most of the time Nice review! Also I'm seeing Legacy Evo Wave 2 around now. Aside from Crashbar who I'm definitely getting, any recommendations?
A stop-motion showed Tarn as an assassin, confusing for the chara, for sure, but makes sense for this Legacy version's much sleeker frame, even is I agree with PE that Tarn should be a hulking bruiser
honestly, I rarely use the opening hands on this guy because they just look off too me, something about the shaping of the thumb and fingers just comes across as weird and makes it look like he has Lego minifigure hands when they are open. I don't get how they took a step back from Jhiaxus's very nice and expressive hands that don't look odd, unlike Tarn's hands.
I think so too, but I didn't want to mention it because I felt like I was already being more negative than this thing objectively deserved. I agree with them than the fingers needed to be pointed but these still look weird.
I had a similar experience with tarn tbh. I had to put up with all of amazon's shipping delays after toy hunting for two weeks and waisting a ton fo gas. His size is the biggest issue for me but a. they traded size for making the figure very polished and articulated and b. we all knew the size before we bought the figure and that didn't stop usp from buying it (in your case you're a reviewer so you might've gotten it even if you don't like it but for the average buyer if they don't like the size they just don't have to buy it). Still I was a bit unimpressed when I got him. But after I fixed some tolerences on the shoulder tab idk why but I just looked at the figure and was like "damn this thing looks good" and now I really like it.
I'm glad you are enjoying it for me, and like I said, I'm OK with this being a voyager, but considering the size of the character, then it shouldn't have been a Small Voyager. The shoulders are what kill this for me.
Am I the only one who wishes that the rest of the Decepticon Justice Division gets released with Tarn now out, but also having the feeling that it would never happen because of the remaining members' alt modes, and because of how dark the DJD group is all around?
I think the only reason tarn isn’t as buff is for possibility and the transformation Let’s be honest there is no way they can make perfect panel accuracy with a voyager class price. if it was a commander class maybe. Question in transformers Cybertron we see that they are technically our transformers TV shows. What do you think they watch? because to me the only thing that pops into my mind is a version of Judge Judy, but with tarn.

I just got this figure and I -- honestly really like him? His posability is very good. The way he can assume a natural pose feels like how they did Animated toys way back in 2007/8.
Honestly, my biggest grips is no tabs holding his arms into his shoulder and the clearance issues with his gun and his arm Aside from that, as a figure he’s pretty solid

The legs can go all the way out you just have to pull a bit more than normal because of the hip skirts and the fake wheels are there to stop paint chipping they probably ran out of budget to put actual ones on him
Tarn complements Flame Toys Furai IDW Megatron very well, who while the exact same Voyager height as Tarn is undersized compared to the comics so that's two for two.

I do have this figure but there were a few problems I had with, one major problem I had is that the tab that’s supposed to connect his legs broke off while the legs were connected when I was first transforming him
My Tarns rig elbow is just loose enough to where he doesn’t like to pose with the guns. (Jhiaxus is the exact same). I display both without a pose for space anyway so it’s not a big deal. Thought I was crazy for thinking he was slightly to shirt and thin. The shoulders bugged me as soon as a got him

Tarn in IDW is shorter than Megatron, he appears big because apart from Magnus and Megs most of the main Lost Light bots are on the smaller side of the scale.
I'm hoping for at least Nickel when it comes to the rest of the DJD, she'd be a neat Core class or accessoried Deluxe.
I mean there's a shot of Megatron standing next to magnus and they are the same size.
It'd be sick to get a Nickle.

TFWiki has a panel of Tarn shaking hands with Skids. Looks about Seeker/ Optimus size, to me. Even grabbed my Skids to compare.
And sizes in the comics & G1 cartoon (it's more consistent, once they moved to CGI) are inconsistent, depending on how careful the artist is being & what the story calls for.
I can't imagine Hasbro passing on the chance to do a Leader that isn't that complex, but they probably found the Skids panel & went with that as the scale.
Further down Tarn's TFWiki, there's a pic that has him the same size as Deathsaurus. I'd rather get a wider release Voyager, than force a bigger size class, that's often harder to find, just to cash in. I doubt Megatron would rebuild an Autobot he turned that powerful. Big & strong, yes. Bigger & stronger than him, no. What if he reverted?

This is for sure one of the best voyagers Hasbro’s come out with, there’s no denying that! Tarn is such a solid figure, everything from the quality to the paint is amazing and grade A. Hope Hasbro makes more DJD members because we not the entire set!

Well...I wasn't expecting that. Out of all the things to complain about, I never would've expected the size and the damn width of the figure. I've heard so many people praise how thin this guy is and that he has zero kibble, which in of itself is a miracle. But the sagging elbows really do kill it for me. I did fix mine with super glue so they are at least sturdy enough to hold his cannon up, but the fact that I had to do that combined with the fact that Hasbro decided that THIS figure of all of Legacy needed gap fillets for EVERYTHING made it so annoying. Hollowness isn't bad because it let's you fix figures like this. And if not, just give us screws that we can take out. I do like this thing, but I think I like it more for the acknowledgement of the character than the actual toy.
To be fair that's not my real issue. My real issue is just those damn shoulders.
It should have been bigger. The character is a bigger one in the comics, so there's no reason for it to be below average, but it's the Shoulders. It's all them. Everything else was forgivable.

I never really liked how edgy the IDW comics were but I loved Tarn. The way he went from faux class to full brutality without warning added so much tension to every book he appeared in. His interactions with Megatron were some of my favorite in all Transformers. When I see a Tarn I’m getting him, even if he’s not the flawless diamond the character deserves.
I didn't really see IDW as Edgy, not more than most comic books. All Hail Megatron was Edgy but most of it was normal, and I think all hail was like that because it was trying to be like the movies.
Thing is this could have been so close to flawless if it weren't for those shoulders.

There’s a chance I’ve just stumbled into all of the darkest parts of the universe but everything I’ve seen has been pretty edgy. No shade I’d you like that kind of thing, it’s just not for me.

1- Grimlock is just smaller in IDW than in G1, though... and Tarn wasn´t as big as him, Tesarus and Helex were. Always thought that a good Tarn figure should be a voyager that was slightly smaller than Megatron (maybe a comparison with Siege Megs is needed here) while Helex and Tesarus are leader class (Grimlock size) Kaon is a large deluxe with lots of panneling to sit a voyager Optimus on his electric chair mode, Vos a core class/battlemaster so Tarn can wield it in his sniper mode, then core class Nickel. Oh, and micromaster Pet Ambus.
2- Isn´t Overlord the one that scares the Autobots the most, or Sixshot? Tarn isn´t even a phase-sixer... it scares other decepticons the most, that is true. This actually would scale fine with titans return Overlord...
3- In the website TFSafari there´s already an upgrade kit for Tarn, and it includes pannels to hide away his hands in alt-mode.
1 Grimlock isn't big in G1, he's the same size as Optimus, and I posted a picture of him in IDW where you can see his scale in comparison to regular sized dudes. Multiple Regular Dudes could ride on his back.
2 Tarn is a Phase Sixer. He took the super fuel, and if you remember he was introduced Killing a Phaze Sixer.
3 Hopefully there's one for the shoulders because that's really what kills it for me.
@@PerspectiveEnd Tarn is not a phase sixer... it´s not the super fuel that made them such, but the alloy in their underskeleton. As for how they killed BlackShadow, well, phase sixers aren´t immune to Tarn´s voice, and its first effect is paralysis.
As for the Glitch/Roller switch... I mean, it´s not the only fail of the saga, and not my main issue. My main issue is Anode, and how she should have needed Rung´s crystal to fix Lug, and how that whole thing did not carry any consequences for her. I can see why Roller wouldn´t be it, as he´s a point one percenter and not a member of Shockwave Xavier´s school for gifted youngsters, and it somehow feels like an evolution of Glitch power.
As for empurata being unfixable... the only 2 characters that we´ve confirmed had it done to them besides Gltich are Shockwave, who was too short on emotions to care to fix it, and Whirl, who seems like he never got actual hands instead of claws because he wanted to keep being angry at the universe. And also, cared more about his clock-making hands than his face.

I love Legacy Shrapnel so much, even though like you said the transformation is simple, it still feels to me like there is so much more going on compared to kickback. My only issue with him is the complete lack of heels means he really likes falling over if you have him in the wrong pose. I just wish I had more blast effect pieces since he is just covered in ports, but I only have what came with the titans and commanders. Also praise the lack of energon weapon that has to sit off to the side but is still needed to gap fill the alt mode like kickback's thorax "blades"

This tarn is in my top 10 this year like the way it looks gives me vibes that I doesn't look like it can transform and yet it can I don't mind the transformation but this I have to say is the best transformers figure done by Hasbro and best decepticon with out a doubt.

I don't have Tarn yet but I do have Leo Prime and the way you described your reaction to getting Tarn is exactly how I felt getting Leo. He's very similar in that he's shockingly small for a voyager and feels almost perfect but has a few minor but glaring flaws that hold him back

Except we see in the comic him Fight Grimlock in hand to hand and he was as tall as Grimlock and Beefier.
We also can see by the Roller image I posted in this video what his size would be in comparison to Pax. Even if we discount roller being Tarn, it'd be a bad miss direct if he was smaller than the guy they were misdirecting to.
I mean in the first comic where Tarn shows up, he fights Grimlock in hand to hand so you can get a good comparison to his size.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah, but that’s his first appearance, that can always be chalked up to early instalment weirdness. In everything else I can find, he’s slightly shorter than Megatron. Just look at his, Megatron and Overlord’s confrontation. A scene were they’re just talking is a far more accurate depiction of scale in my opinion, and if you were expecting a grimlock sized figure out the voyager price point, frankly you were bound for disappointment. He is far too thin though, that’s definitely true.

Actually I remember in TFnation Manchester can’t remember who but the guy who designed Tarantulas was there and said he just made the designs and didn’t really know how they would transform and I was like “Dam third party designers must hate this guy” Also he did mention something about Earthspark Tarantulas
Yeah Tarantulas cheats by having his groin be a different color than should be possible.
I know this may sound weird but, maybe it would’ve been better if they made Tarn a leader class, just slightly taller than what he is right now, give him reworked shoulders and more bulk, and to make the price worth it, put in a core class nickel. That could pose unlike wheelie.

Based on the comments I'm getting on this video, I'm voicing the frustrations of many people.
I think this tarn figure is just "glitch" that didnt just grew in size when becoming tarn and the hotrod shoulders

I’m just happy they didn’t fuck with the design like the Prime and Animated figures.
Size is a Bit inconsistent, but you can see in Rollers Bio that I showed in this video, what his size is compared to Orion Paxes, so that's the minimum for how big he could be.
However we do see in his First on panel appearance when they wreck the Scavengers, he fights Grimlock, and they are of equal size, and he Dominates Grimlock, who was mentally impaired at the time, but none the less he didn't know that and was disappointed that Grimlock couldn't even put up any kind of fight, because he was hoping that Grimlock could be even remotely a good time.
And Tarn is shown to be a coward if the thinks he could lose, so the fact that he didn't try to cheat and actually wanted a fight shows that he's supremely confident that Grimlock isn't a threat to him even at full strength.
But this was a Question about size, and in that fight Tarn was bigger than Grimlock.
I just got him today after paying way too much on Hasbro pulse, and I absolutely love him, my only problems are that his cannon doesn't lock in on his arm and his knee pads stick out in his alt mode. Also his eyes are hard to see and I wish his mask could come off. He is now one of my favorite figures ever.

Tarn is the embodyment of horror. And he is smaller than Optimus prime? Cmon hasbro, if they make an oversized version I will not hesitate for a second to buy it.

I was able to get Tarn a bit early winning him from a raffle but after receiving around December, I just haven’t touched him since. Many of the points you’ve discussed is what I found problems with the figure. I was so excited when he was announced but I wish he was sooo much better. My favorite figure from the wave is Lio Convoy/Prime and I haven’t stopped messing with him since I got him.
I'm sad to say, that I also Prefer Lio Prime.
It’s alright all things considered. It has great posing and great silhouettes. But it’s not gods gift to this earth. The transformation is boring and the chest on mine pops off. But hey I’m glad to have him.
My first instinct is that it doesn't have good posing, but no it's really good on that front, it's just those damn shoulders are so ugly it ruins that for me.

I am so glad Hasbro finally acknowledges IDW characters in this year. So far, aside from the thinness, I do really like this figure - that said I do get your issues with the figure.
Half wondering if we'll ever get the other DJD, though I imagine Vos is gonna have his alt mode changed (unless the dual fusion cannons on Tarn are meant to reference Vos' rifle mode).
I’m not saying it’s not treat that we’re getting him but they’ve acknowledged IDW characters before now: several generations figures based on IDW designs for starters, Drift getting brought into the toyline at lightning speed, and more recently stuff like TR Nautica and the little battlemaster Rung

I ironically had the opposite issue trying to get this guy. I ordered him on Amazon UK, and he wasn't to ship until March. Then wave 1 released in February. I decided to wait for Tarn, thinking it would be worth it. My two Scraphooks arrived ahead of schedule, but Tarn was nowhere in sighed. When the Date for him to ship came, It Didn't. I was passing my local toy store, went fuck it, and bought him and canceled my order
I agree with everything tbh, He could have been taller and wider and those shoulders drive me mad. Rn, I have him crushing a Strafe i had and holding the Matrix chain in a power stance and I think thats how he will stay

2: Make him the height of Kingdom Galvatron
3: Stick his backpack and calves out to make him have more depth
4: Add an alternate head with the mask off
5: Add an ab crunch
6: Have the hands flip away in alt mode
7: *slightly* darker purple
8: Charge leader price
That would be literally perfect
While I would like most of those, I think the only one that was NEEDED was #1.
A shame he wasn't as good as you hoped. I got Legacy RID Scourge come yesterday and although I haven't transformed him yet (mostly because I'm lazy and partially because I'm terrified of breaking any of my figures) his truck mode is godly.
I absolutely love trucks with trailers. It's part of the reason I want Earthrise Optimus so bad.

I found a Tarn at my local Target but ended up leaving him there. For whatever reason he scanned for $45. Wasn't sure if maybe this was just the next inflation step up in prices overall, or just a one off pricing system F'up.

First is the size, he has this weird feeling that he feels small but is at the same height as Optimus so I’m not sure, secondly, the hot rod shoulders suck like really it sucks so much, in fact if that problem was fixed I would give it a 9/10 or a 10/10. Next is the arm cannon, I don’t know if it’s my copy or something but the connector that connects with the “guns” is just loose that if I nudge it, it will swivel around. And the arms seem too short…

The shoulder articulation doesnt bother me too much, but I agree it would have been better to put the joint on the arm. Will update this in a couple of days when I've had a chance to get him in hand.

@PerspectiveEnd So it arrived last night with a bunch of other figures and it's an odd one, I like the look, it's a striking figure and articulation is ok, shoulder joints dont bother me as expected but as you noted it's just too small in comparison with other figures, makes it feel slight and just less imposing than if it was 30 to 50 % larger. I got Skyquake as well and while my opinions on that figure are another thing entirely, the mass difference is really noticable. Still think its overall a quality figure, but falls just short of being amazing.
I found him at Target but they wanted $44.99 for some reason, so I wound up ordering him from Pulse.
I feel like the fake wheels are a cost cutting measure from some galaxy brain at Hasbro who doesn't know how treads work.

I've been wanting to get this but the only thing that holds me back is the size. I'm not a scale nut but I agree tarn should be a big ass boy. I feel like they just didn't want to make him bigger than megatron or the same size as him, it's weird. Also it's so obvious it was roller it's painful they switched it to glitch. I've been reading the comics and haven't even finished them yet and even tho Ik it's glitch it's all pointing to roller in the most obvious non obvious way. One of idws misses with that reveal but tarn is still amazing
Yeah, it's blatantly obvious to the point where you have to question how they thought it was going to be a secret in the first place.
I suppose I didn't mind the scaling difference because the rest of the plastic got used to fill almost every single gap on the figure. I showed him to my friend who hasn't collected a new Transformer in about a decade, and he was surprised that it actually transformed since the robot mode was so clean. I also feel like Jhiaxus is built like an 80s Action Character, so he'd be buffer than anybody except Prime, Megs or the Dinobots. Would've definitely been cooler at leader scale, and I 100% agree about the clear plastic chest; it should've been gray plastic that was sturdily pinned on. I've figured out the trick to transforming him correctly without popping it off, but it would've been nicer if I didn't have to worry about it
I mean even if that's the case. Tarn is supposed to be a literal giant with more in common with a Monster than a person.
And Honestly none of that is my real issue. My real issue is the shoulders.

I got this as Bludgeon, and the slim guy in armour vibe feels right with his skeleton samurai style.
It definitely makes more sense for that character.
The same thing happened to me with Amazon. They pushed back the delivery date about a month and then it came in 3 days later. So I still got it at a decent time. But I agree, the first thing I though was that he is very thin
I don't know what they were doing, they were getting them so late, and then to push it back like that.
This truly is a connundrum, yea, he felt really flat to me in his robot mode, but I wasn't really bothered by it, cause I wasn't planning on getting him anyways. But you know how you can "justify it"? You can atribute it to Legacy's goal to chuggify/g1-ify the characters, so, for tarn, they took away his hulking nature. But that might still not work, for you, even if it's a thing.
That doesn't really address my main issue though, and that's just that those shoulders are hideous.

When I heard that Legacy Evolution was going to have Tarn, I was excited. But when his figure was revealed, it was 50/50. His molded/sculpted design from head to toe and coloration all around is cool. But he looks 2-D, and not as big as I wish he was. He should have been taller, a leader class figure. And for his flat body to be more bulked up. That's just my opinion. I still got his Legacy Evolution figure anyways as he is an interesting character. Bleeding Decepticon allegiance and killing those who turn their backs on the Decepticon cause.
-I would like to see Hasbro give us the rest of the Decepticon Justice Division to complete the team, but I think Tarn may be the only acceptable one, since the other characters are not family friendly. Maybe Nickel for core class would have a chance.
I definitely hope they do more of the IDW Characters especially the DJD, but man I wish this things shoulders were better, and bigger would make this thing cooler.
I would love a commander class tarn.
I'd be fine with a Leader, or just a Bigger voyager one, provided they fixed the shoulders.
he's got that stick-build. in hindsight, it makes sense with what the charather is supposed to be AFTER the reveal, but yea, for half of the comic he's depicted as "fully big", not "scrawny with a big chest pieces" and we expected that

I remember when micromaster Rung came out and I was so pleasantly surprised to see an idw character in official toy form. I never would have guessed that we would be getting something this awesome.
I mean I wish I could say that this is awesome, but it is still nice to get more IDW.

Maybe glitch used his "gift" to create a new constructed cold body and move his essential parts into it. A tarn spotlight series would have been great, with his seduction to decepticonism and sparring with megatron like overlord did.
That would have helped, though I would like to question why Glitch's new body looks like Roller in a Mask and Treads.

I find that this has a few points in it's favor, like greater leg poseeablity, and a better torso, but over all I'd go with the MMC personally. I was really hoping this would replace that older MMC figure for me, but not with those shoulders, and not with how flat it feels.
He looks so good and I am so excited to hopefully find him. I haven't gotten far enough to see him in the comics yet but just the basic concept is enough for me to pick him up, even if the Roller twist would've worked better. Honestly that whole point about how the Decepticons could corrupt someone that close to Optimus and the effect that has on him sounds so good and heartbreaking like Blackarachnia in Animated but without the restraints of keeping stuff aimed at a general audience. (And even then she freaked me out when I was little!)
I wouldn't put too many expectations on the reveal, when it happens it's almost in passing.

I've already ended up spoiling myself on TFWiki about who Onyx Prime is because I wanted to know if the Maximals and Predacons were in IDW I'm just curious to see how it plays out. It's kinda like knowing the twist in the first Scream, just has me clue hunting. Unless of course the twist is like you said completely ludicrous just to throw people off. Would I prefer goin in blind? Yeah, but got no one to blame for myself on the Onyx Prime one.

While i have mixed feeling for Tarn in the comic, I absolutely love him in the Cyberverse cartoon. I like that he is basically everything wrong with Megatron Decepticon boils down into a single bot, his final battle with Soundwave is just “chef’s kiss”
into the figure, What else that I can say, that this is one of the best if not the greatest Voyager toy Hasbro have ever produced. on another hand I was slightly disappointed that he wasn't Cyberverse Inspired. oh well. maybe Upgrade kit or Shapeways will give us that.

I thoroughly disagree, I think just about every voyager from legacy was better than this.
4:30 I fell like this can be explain why can can't shut off machines with a touch and can with his voice with his upgrades when he became Tarn.
Glitch has claw like hands that are more closer to a grabby claw machine than the typical cybertronian. However Tarn has normal hands so, at least I think, they swapped out his hands for something more normal. However since he doesn't have his original hands he could no longer use his powers in a similar vain to Shigaraki from MHA who can turn anything he touches to dust when he touches it with all five of his fingers but couldn't when three of them were broken on one of his hands during his battle with Re Destro.
However with Tarn never using the powers his abilities this power began to become unstable or grew to the point where he could use his voice rather than his hands to kill his opponents. Going back to the Shigaraki comparison, his powers evolved in the same fight where his hand was broken which led to him not needing all five fingers to activate his abilities. I think this is what happened to Tarn, he lost his hand that worked with his powers which lead to it evolving to where he could use his voice instead.
At least, that's how I see it.
Glitch had the Claw hands because he was Empurataed for being a Outlier. Before that he had normal hands, and they made no mention of his power changing after he had his original face and hands removed.

I personally love this figure. I agree that he should be bigger and damn those shoulders are an annoying and easily avoidable decision. But the sheer posing and presence makes it my favourite figure in my current collection. Mine really got fricked by the legacy qc though. Almost everything was loose, one of the cannons lower 5mm pegs got cut off and AN ENTIRE ONE-WAY PIN was missing out of the box. It really made me disappointed in the figure overall. Though I'm glad to hear that you didn't have any big tolerance issues.
Sorry to hear about yours, I will say the only QC I really had with mine was the right arm sagging, and the paint splatter on the right leg.

I'd say no. I constantly hear Rumblings about Rereleases, and there's the G2 and SG version for sure coming, so I'd say hold onto your money and go for those or find a better deal, and maybe they will just do a regular Rerelease soon.

my only beef with this toy is the light piping on the head. The hole on top is so small sufficient light will never enter it unless you hold a flashlight right up to it.
I mean even when it's bigger it still doesn't tend to work well.
One thing about the tank mode that I think goes unappreciated imo, is the amount of 5mm ports on it. Meaning you can make just an awful giga-killdozer with it, it's beautiful.
In other news, I did it! I found Animated Prowl along with most of his wave 2 colleague at... er GameStop of all places, don't know why. But he's worth, nice to see an ab-crunch on a mainline figure. It's also nice to have a thinner figure with really good ass tolerances.
I wish I'd thought to mention that, but I was too focused on the Shoulders.

Second, the way you describe what they did with Tarn, making him Glitch because they found Roller out too early, I'm instantly reminded that DC did the exact same thing in Crisis in Time, by making Monarch's identity The Hawk instead of Captain Atom. Essentially, they made a red herring when it didn't make any sense because they still wanted a twist.

Third, about the figure, I bought this along with Legacy Breakdown and core class Spike, and of the three, Tarn was the best. He could stand to be a little bigger, especially since he looks off next to Megs, but I'm not too mad at it. If an upgrade kit comes and gives him a better head, I will definitely pick it up, like I plan to with TMII Megs. But this figure is not too bad.
Lastly, I posted a comment to your vid about the curse, and I don't know if you saw it, but I mentioned all the IDW stuff that they coulda made in Legacy, but we only got Tarn and Blurr for some reason.

Fingers crossed for a 3rd party, beefier upscale to leader size. 🤔 This figure is like a tasty cake that's just barely coated in a mind-blowing, palate-exploding, delicious icing, giving you a taste of what could be above and beyond, but just stopping shy of being thickly coated in that same icing. (But hey, first official IDW Tarn from Hasbro, still a worthwhile morsel.)
I hope for an OSKO as well, but only if they fix the shoulders.

I’m really glad I got the oversized black mamba ko of this mold. Yeah the shoulders ass and the ko is the wrong shade of purple but the sheer size and incorporation of diecast makes it FEEL like tarn

Didn't think I could agree with you more here. I mean, I'm overall happy with him, but I, too, found him oddly flat and weirdly small for the kind of character he's supposed to be. Oh, and the "mafia" elbows are frustratingly too loose for my liking, especially with the cannon attached. I like him overall thanks to his otherwise awesome look, fantastic posability, and enjoyable transformation into a quite good alt mode, but I found myself more impressed with Lio Convoy at the end of the day. That one legitimately blows the Masterpiece out of the water.

Perhaps he could do to be at least as tall as Megatron and Optimus but I still think this Tarn is still one of the best voyagers we’ve got recently. Ive never read the IDW comics but I just love all the purple, and his imposing big shoulder proportions 💜
And his voyager size does mean we can get away with getting leader-class figures of his BIG boy subordinates Helex and Tesarus, that is if Hasbro aren’t cowards enough to make TFs that basically turn into torture machines 😅
The Purple does look nice. I got no problem with the deco.
I feel like Lelex and Tesarus only really make sense as commanders as Tesarus's Head is the size of Grimlocks TORSO in the comics.

honestly, I rarely use the opening hands on this guy because they just look off too me, something about the shaping of the thumb and fingers just comes across as weird and makes it look like he has Lego minifigure hands when they are open. I don't get how they took a step back from Jhiaxus's very nice and expressive hands that don't look odd, unlike Tarn's hands.

I had a similar experience with tarn tbh. I had to put up with all of amazon's shipping delays after toy hunting for two weeks and waisting a ton fo gas. His size is the biggest issue for me but a. they traded size for making the figure very polished and articulated and b. we all knew the size before we bought the figure and that didn't stop usp from buying it (in your case you're a reviewer so you might've gotten it even if you don't like it but for the average buyer if they don't like the size they just don't have to buy it). Still I was a bit unimpressed when I got him. But after I fixed some tolerences on the shoulder tab idk why but I just looked at the figure and was like "damn this thing looks good" and now I really like it.

I think the only reason tarn isn’t as buff is for possibility and the transformation Let’s be honest there is no way they can make perfect panel accuracy with a voyager class price. if it was a commander class maybe. Question in transformers Cybertron we see that they are technically our transformers TV shows. What do you think they watch? because to me the only thing that pops into my mind is a version of Judge Judy, but with tarn.

Those are things I noticed as well, but for me it's how the shoulders are mounted that ruin this for me.

The legs can go all the way out you just have to pull a bit more than normal because of the hip skirts and the fake wheels are there to stop paint chipping they probably ran out of budget to put actual ones on him

Tarn complements Flame Toys Furai IDW Megatron very well, who while the exact same Voyager height as Tarn is undersized compared to the comics so that's two for two.

I do have this figure but there were a few problems I had with, one major problem I had is that the tab that’s supposed to connect his legs broke off while the legs were connected when I was first transforming him

My Tarns rig elbow is just loose enough to where he doesn’t like to pose with the guns. (Jhiaxus is the exact same). I display both without a pose for space anyway so it’s not a big deal. Thought I was crazy for thinking he was slightly to shirt and thin. The shoulders bugged me as soon as a got him
