Thanks for another great upload, Mark! Also thanks for no ads - I always find those jarring on the GSN reruns (I prefer keeping them on CBS broadcasts though!)
Rest in peace Bob Barker. Did you know that during Season 8 (1979-80), there were no first-run episodes of TPIR that aired during January 1980, CBS ran reruns of TPIR instead from the previous season and current season. The season started in August 1979 instead of September 1979.
Hi Markyyy! I won the showcase on "The Price is Right" show #3921D, aired December 22, 1980 (a Christmas show). This was really before people had VCR's, so I never was able to get a copy. Is there anyway you know of to get a copy of this show?
Under today's rules, both would have been in the DSW range, but the $129 would have won them both. Sadly the DSW rule was less than $100 at the time, but two fantastic bids.
Found a closer differences record on the Singing Leo episode from Oct 23, 1980 - $16 though in that case both contestants were way off from the past and present DSW range ($4221 vs $4208)
How I miss the 80's. In 2024, I don't know any game show as good as The Price is Right. I'm glad I grew up in this decade.
R.I.P Mr Bob Barker. God bless u

What a finale! 🎉
That is a sharp suit Bob has on
Yeah, he looks like a British icon. Erp. Sherlock Holmes rather.
Every girl crazy 'bout the sharp dressed man!
(note how 8/9 contestants were female)
Looks like the Beatles

Thank you.
Thanks for posting this one
Dian, Holly and Janice: 3 lovelies in red.
You can tell when they play Five Price Tags or Safe Crackers because those are the only two times Bob goes to the right side of Door 2.
Difference of $129 before 1998: We got *Single SHOWCASE WINNER.*
Difference of $129 after 1998: We got *DOUBLE SHOWCASE WINNER.*
lmao @ 0:23 get the hell outta my way Johnny called my name!
I didn’t catch that at first 😆
RIP BOB BARKER that hosted this game show on television.
That suit Bob is wearing looks like something from The Beatles
lol @ her face when she saw the Apple II in the showcase..."Uh...What is that?"
People are a healthy weight back then, compared to people in more recent episodes. Less processed crap food

Omg how awesome! I hope you’re able to finally find a copy
Check with Fremantle Archive Sales. From fan records GSN did reran the following episode, 3922D but not 3921D due to a possible Zinman Furs prize
Thank you! I contacted Fremantle last fall and now I'm a proud owner of a copy of my episode of TPIR!
That’s amazing, Congrats!
25:25 Best “new car!” theme
That music and the camera work is so spot on!
my favorite new car cue
The year before my birthday!
Colleen was totally star struck LOL
Two Virginia millers!!!
I appreciate the video but the vcr needed some tracking.
Is that a showcase differences record for the 1980's Roger, just $23? ($152 vs $129)

Did you see that audience member get pushed back? When the male was called?
They may have had good bids on the showcases, but this episode wasn't one to write home about. Too many losses.
Yeah, especially the car losses... had potential but just couldn't deliver the wins this time around.
38:46 Hey hey hey! It's Fat Albert!
Copyright 1979
The episode was taped in 1979
Yep...They tape shows back to back before the holidays for hiatus.
How did you find this episode?
From a trade, of course.
Wait, so... (spoiler)...

...all four were true in Five Price Tags? Wtf
Hey!
Thanks for posting this, but I thought you said that you were out of episodes?!
Yes I did say "out of episodes", but only at the time. This is part of some new stuff I recently got.
@@markyyy94 Are you planning on keeping the every episode “intact” with the commercials included?!
Two Virginia millers! That was so not nice
