The 20w S1 comes with a lower wattage power supply unit, so upgrading the laser module requires a new power supply as well. xTool sell the 40w as a very costly kit. What is a shame is they don’t seem to sell a 20w module for 40w owners. Basically get the 40w then you have the versatility, unless all you plan to do is engraving. Great machine. Fun video. Thanks.
I was wondering how this works in cold weather? what I mean by that is, my garage is only heated when I’m in it during the winter. Will freezing temperatures hurt the machine being left in the garage when not in use?
Awesome content! What’s the wavelength and OD of the S1 10, 20 and 40w lasers? XTool doesn’t provide that intel. They say “not specified”. Crazy worried about eye damage. Saying some is safe without the data is kinda questionable. Should I stick to crayons?
After installing the riser base, how the hell am I supposed to use the laser now? It won't measure the distance, because everything that I want to cut/engrave is sitting too low.
Hey I have something laser related that I dont know what to do with, it was new when I got it like 2 or 3 years ago and it has just been sittin' in my shop so any ideas of what I could use it for? Or could you use it for its intended purpose? It is a CAMFIVE SL-1D (specialized chiller for CO2 laser generator) if I cant figure out something to do with it and you dont want it, then I am probably gonna have to scrap it... I live in Atlanta but will be moving to Talladega Alabama in November... L8R G8R. :-)
Hey Dude! I just wanted to say thank you for everything that you do. I got a P2 almost a week ago (took a few days off work to get it situated) and on my first day back to work, I made my first sale! I'm not sure how much to sell the hummingbird trellis for though. My boss is the buyer and he said he'd pay whatever I want for it.

If I’m only planning on doing leatherette 12x24” sheets will the 10watt be ok? I have no intention of doing wood cutting or metal engraving.
