Hi, well, yes you can travel with Tempo Travelers everywhere almost in Ladakh. Roads to Hanle are good enough in fact majority is well tarred so taking Tempo traveler should not be any issue. However, traveling from Hunder to Pangong to Hanle in a single day is way too too much with family on board!! I will not suggest that at all. Please halt at Pangong and then next day PAngong to Hanle.
Dheeraj bhai, for 3 persons coming to Leh by flight and for sightseeing for 8 days, is there a comfort difference between a Innova (top end) and Xylo/Scorpio (mid range)? Price difference between these 2 categories is around 5K INR.
Well not much, you can even ask for regular Innova. I believe Innova Crysta is higher priced and since you are only 3 people, you will be comfortable with any any of those cars and will help you save a day’s stay and food prices. We are planning a trip in june. Are tempo travellers from outside ladakh allowed to roam freely in ladakh and leh or can we only hure them from there only? Our city is 300km from delhi. Should we hire an experienced traveller from delhi which will take much more money or should we hire a traveller from my honetown who may not have much experience driving in ladakh but will be cheaper and also known?
Hello Dheeraj, Can i take chandigarh rented bikes to leh. I know for pangong nubra and tsokar the chandigarh rented bikes are not allowed.. but as per my route plan from tsomoriri we will be heading towards manali and not returning to leh. So is there a option i can give some money to the leh rental company and with their permission take the chandigarh rented bike with us to pangong, nubra and tsokar?
There is no such thing that they accept money/fee to allow outside rental bikes. Rule is blanket, all depends if you are stopped and checked for bike rentals. If you are not stopped anywhere or no bike rental tour operator running a tour with their group find you on your routes to ask about it, there shall be no issue. Mostly I have seen checkposts around Leh area. But it will be a risk that you need to take a call to take it or not.. By that time the snow shall not be present on the road on Zojila Pass. If you plan to return via Manali Leh then it is not uncommon to have Baralacha La Pass snow in May end.. sometimes the first week of June is when road gets open. However, snow chain is one thing that you may not need for Zojila but road trip early season is always very adventurours, so please be prepared for it especially in sedan. Yes, you can travel in SUV or any car on that route. No, outside rental cars or self drive rental cars are only allowed to reach Leh and get out of Leh. For local sightseeing within Ladakh to places like Nubra Valley Pangong Lake, you will need to rent local Ladakh taxi.
Umeed to kam lag rahi hai aur challenges bhi honge agar raasta tourists k liye tab tak open bhi kardete hain Manali Leh se to.. Abhi to roads bandh hain aur snowfall hua hai 1-2 din se wahaan sab jagah.. So, road jo open bhi hua tha use fer se clear karenge first week of May mein.. fer dekho kab tak tourists ko allow kara jaata hai..
