My three favourite underrated, forgotten and unknown platform cutesy games on SNES are Claymates, Do Re Mi Fantasy and Mr. Nutz.

Interesting thing you can see here is progress development over years. Earliest games have rather primitive visuals, many look just like upgraded NES games, since developers wasnt very familiar with console capabilities, later games offer much more complex graphics and very latest pushes hardware to maximum.

There are a few mistakes: Beavis and Butthead, Bubsy II, Izzy Quest, Marvel Super Heroes War of the Gems, The Pagemaster, Prince of Persia 2, Spanky Quest, Spider-man, Super Widget, Spawn and Were Back a Dinosaur Story, were released in Europe too.

I think Run Saber was the game I was looking for for the longest time.
I need to find a game, I have been trying to find it for 10 years, the style is similar to The legend of Zelda to link to the past, the only thing I remember is that in the first dungeon the boss was a lava monster that was chasing one I think , in the second dungeon it was a forest leaves were falling from the top of the screen, there was a map as you went through the level, on the map you could see the forest but there was a skull in the middle and in the center of the map was a castle, please I need to find it, I've been looking for it everywhere for years :( SNES)

My favourites are Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, The Ninja Warriors, Mega Man X trilogy and Super Castlevania 4. I also played Super Metroid and Super Probotector (PAL version of Contra 3), but never beat them.

I have been looking for a SNES game for between 15 and 20 years, I thought watching this video I would find it, it is of a warrior who kidnapped his girlfriend (or wife) if I remember correctly a witch, he travels several areas defeating monsters, the final boss is a Giant skull, you defeat her and find the woman, but the tragic thing is that she is already dead, I loved that game and no matter how hard I look for it, I can't find it, I remember it was from SNES because I went to the blockbuster and rented it
i would recommend looking at either a video of all snes games or a different genre like hack and slash etc. I too had been looking for a specific game that dealt with a soccer team on a side scrolling adventure and first kept looking in the sports genre cause its a soccer team but found in the compilation of videos instead (the hurricanes)

I don't really consider a lot of the games shown to be platformers. Back then, almost every type of 2D game was a side-scroller, but not nessarily a platformer. There was run n gun, hack n slash, rpg, adventure, etc, and yeah a lot of them had jumping too but I'd still categorize them different from platformers.
Ninja Warriors is a side scrolling beat'em up. There's absolutely no platforming in that game.

There was a game my big brother played on the snes when i was like 6yo it was something like a platform game where you get changed your ability based on items you collect for example you could drive a motorbike or be a firefighter.
