    With all due respect, I'm not exactly sure what type of creep you're referring to. Looking at these signs, I had a majority of these when I was growing up with the intention of trying to get along or make friends when I had no prior experience (especially at a later age).
    While yes, I agree there will be times that "creepy" people CAN be dangerous, I don't necessarily see the signs I expected for when you encounter an actual crappy + creepy person.
    (ie: They keep pushing your boundaries even if u said no, they ask you for favours when you barely know them and don't need it or if they OVERLYYY compliment you and sometimes insert their preferred image onto you that can invalidate the identity you want to adopt)
    Just because someone stares too much doesn't mean they are a person worth avoiding. From how I see it (and from watching the videos from this channel back then) these signs just remind me of someone having a crush on you excluding smelling bad or being unkempt.
    There are a handful of young individuals (including teenagers) that I know of that are unkempt due to depression or other circumstances. A lot of them mention that it feels like a chore to even do. Plus, most creepy guys I actually encounter in real life tend to look normal so I don't think the hygiene thing is the issue.
    I'm sorry if this comment was at all rude, it was not the intention. I actually really love this channel, I've been following it for a few years when I was trying to improve my own social cues or understanding of people's actions that I never got to experience.
    However, I don't think it's ideal to call anyone a creep if they share these "signs" without mentioning that you should have a conversation with the individual to establish basic boundaries. Painting a bad image on a (basically) clueless person is likely going to make them be more clingy or more persistent if they, again, don't know it's creepy.
    So again, my only issue with this video is how it targets people who are having issues social cues (as you said) or have a crush on you + not mentioning to set boundaries + not mentioning signs on if you meet REAL creeps (aside from feeling uncomfortable) + Not having a clear reason on why someone should avoid them or acknowledge their appearance/ behavior with the label of "creep"

      Non taken. Thanks for the response. You're absolutely correct, that's why you need to talk to them, trust your gut, and see if this person is doing something that you are uncomfortable with. At the end of the day, they can do whatever they want, but if someone doesn't like someone or something, they can distance themselves. Not saying that this is for everyone.

      just sounds like someone when it all boils down is a desire or yearning, in effect a conscious definite progressive plan and action to make contact and lacking the means of approaching one individual and continually and increasingly trying to make it happen. the problem is that it doesn't work that way and if one wants to meet people or at least not feel like a jerk, then be pleasant to everbody then secondly, if an encounter doesn't feel quite right, not to go out of their way.

    If you're 6ft tall and good looking then you can behave however you want and women will not find you creepy. However if you are ugly, short, bald... Then no matter how charming and well you behave there will be plenty of women who perceive you as creepy... it's as much to do with looks as it is with actual creepy behaviour (maybe more so).

  • @randyg22152
    @randyg22152 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    First of all, the word “creep” was never defined in the video, nor was it ever explained why being labeled a “creep” made a person undesirable or unsafe to be around in first place. There was some oblique allusion to a creep maybe being some kind of “stalker” in some rare instances (and obviously no one likes a stalker), but the video also makes it clear that most “creeps” are NOT stalkers, and not all stalkers are “creeps”. So, what is a creep, then, and why is having someone who others call a “creep” as a friend somehow bad for you? Are you afraid to associate with unpopular people?Apparently a “creep” is just any eccentric person that you think is uncool or unpopular, and therefore it is OK for you to slander, bully, or exclude him/her from social activities just because you feel like they are not cool enough for you.
    I understand that no one has any obligation to socially associate with anyone that they do not want to, and that sometimes you will not be compatible, or comfortable, with everyone that you meet, as you will probably have nothing in common with certain types of people, but slandering people by calling them a “creep” just because you find them to be a bore is immature and uncalled for. One person’s creepy weirdo (because he/she has unusual and boring hobbies) might be another person’s best pal. Just because you don’t like playing D&D on the weekends, and you don’t get the inside jokes and references, doesn’t mean that this person is evil or something because you don’t get them. Like I said, the video never really said what a “creep” was, or what made a “creep” unsafe to be around, other than to give some vague indication that a creep was just anyone who made you feel “uncomfortable” somehow, which sounds like the video is trying to justify being prejudiced against eccentric people.
    Second of all, many of the things that the video describes as making a person a “creep” sounds more like symptoms of autism, as other people have mentioned in the comments already. Sounds like this video is just trying to shame people who have mental disabilities by labeling them as “creeps”. This sounds like just a justification for prejudice, rather than an attempt to keep people safe. The discussion in this video is too vague, and sadly lacks any nuance, to actually be useful.

    goddamn. So this is why people avoid me.
    I'm am extremely excitable, especially at the prospect of social interaction which is obviously because I don't get a lot and am uncultured, I'm questioning grooming conventions(c'mon hear me out, hear me out don't just do something because everyone else does), I love literally anything dark or niche.
    I've been working on the social side by trying to make sure any stranger I talk to has the choice to leave at any time, and always having some excuse for why I'm talking to them.
    But yeah, people often tell me I'm weird and seem uncomfortable around me. Actually, every single person I've ever known to any level at all says I'm weird, except the drug addicts and my friend who's 69 and grew up in an actual insane asylum.
    I do have a question though. Are these warning signs the things that people inherently don't like, or is it because they're afraid it means something else?
    What do you guys think I should do, and is there a reason I should do it besides that other people want me to and they'll like me for it?

    So having not been able to socialize in my youth at 20 when I had some freedom I tried to make friends and I get overly excited when they talk to me bc I feel important to people and they take interest and tell me they accept who I am which is rare where I live so I try to be myself around them cause they convince me they care and I'm a creep for wanting to hang out with them in social places nowhere private or I stick up for them?

    • @truth6186
      @truth6186 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This exact thing happened to me multiple times in my life and it's honestly deeply affected me. Everytime I try to make new friends I never get to know them on a personal level because I feel like a creep. I subconsciously isolate myself from people because I believe I'm a creep. All I did was try to hangout with people who told me they care and that they're my friends when behind my back they talked about me. I started believing maybe I am the problem and I still do. I just don't know how to fix the problem. I don't know what normal is because I've never had friends that fit the norm. I think that I'm a good person but I also think I'm a creep because everyone for one reason or another thinks I'm creepy. I honestly feel like I'm not the same as other humans and deep friendships or friend groups just aren't meant for me. It's more comfortable to just be alone and be who I want to and try to forget all the people who dislike me than to keep making new friends for it to end the same. I don't understand why it's weird to be excited about hanging out with people or wanting to know someone on a more personal level when they're the ones saying they like you and care about you. Wanting friends doesn't make you a stalker

    No such thing as a creep. You can only know by personally knowing them and why. Typically who judge others are creep and shallow themselves. The part saying making others uncomfortable that would make a creep? In chat case most people are creeps. Since most people make me uncomfortable. But look at me call me creep. People fail to realize. People that make others uncomfortable is because they are uncomfortable themselves. Thats why. So naturally you got it opposite. Funny people hang out with who are actually creeps. I mean who hurt people and are narcisstic. But who appear creep from firet glence are genuine and kind. People need to educate themselves on psychology and stop being shallow and blind. Shallow people who got it easy talk like she does. Talk about uncomfortable. Im always uncomfortable. But have to hide it to not receive more abuse. Since I'm seen as bad guy for being in safe mode. Defense mechanism. Fight flight response. If its a girl its understood but if a guy who been through hell its ok treat him like he isn't even human. Reflect on yourself. I see it all the time. People like who are horrible behind their backs. But someone who genuine but traumatized with lots stress and anxiety seen as bad and treated poorly without thinking. If you knew you damage you cause you know you no different from who belongs in prison. So its typically calling other creeps is labeling yourself without putting yourself in other shoes. Lot people ended up dead and worse that lived half what i did and many others. I actually i see i said too much which might be too confusing.
    Only what i meant to say is uncomfortable part I'm always feel uncomfortable and have to fight it. Since I'm the evil one. But others understood. Lot of times we call people uncomfortable but they uncomfortable themselves. Thats why they make us uncomfortable.

    If you are a man under 6'2 and 7/10 in looks and a bit nervous when shooting your shot that is classed as creepy.
    If you are extremely tall and handsome you can be as forward and as inapropiate as you like and that is concidered flirty in the modern womans handbook.
