Cliff Curtis, for me, did the best interpretation of Jesus. He was the only actor who managed to capture the paternal, friendly, and compassionate personality of Jesus. He's so realistic that I feel like I'm in the original story with the eleven (and in this case Clavius) and I feel commissioned to preach the Gospel by Jesus himself. I love this movie.
Indeed he was awesome! I didn't really see a side of Jesus until I watched this. It made me look back in my Bible and see how caring, how compassionate, how overwhelmingly loving he is to us. Recently, the Chosen tv series has had the same effect. You should check it out!

Jesus Christ healed me! This is my story about my healing! I was extremely ill !! I had diabetes and kidney failure, which urgently requires dialysis! I prayed to God to heal me, not for me, because I don't deserve it, but for my little children, who were left without a mother! in exactly that day, in which I prayed, the Lord healed me! I suddenly felt the pain in my kidneys go away, as well as the dryness in my mouth (diabetes). I'm a new women now! I thank the Lord for His mercy and love for us!

I am ex athiest. I used to mock christians and say it was all just a fairy tale to help people die in peace. Until i overdosed and stood before Jesus. His face is as bright as the sun. I couldnt see any details of his face but i could see his arms were held out like to hug me and they were a dark tan color, not white or black. Which makes sence remembering he was born in the middle east desert!! When he held out his arms the light got brighter and i felt so much love and peace and raw power that i cant even find the right words to describe them. Jesus is God in the flesh. God is a trinity. All power the father has Jesus also has. He has existed with the father since before the earths creation.

I cry every time I watch this. I keep watching it because it fills my heart with so much warmth and joy. But it's also sad. I couldn't have imagined being with Jesus for 3 years. Then watching him be crucified, and then see him come back and only see him some of the time before he ascends to heaven. I would feel so lost in that moment. I know he's with us, but they had him physically. They physically could give him a hug every day for 3 years. That would break my heart if I had seen him leave. My prayers came true though. I wanted Jesus to visit me in a dream and share any wisdom that he'd be willing to share with me. After a few months of praying, he finally came to me. I'll never forget his unconditional love and his amazing embrace. I felt so safe in his arms. His eyes, his eyes, that look deep into the very depths of my soul. The sound, unwavering, calmness he delivers. He's everything we always have hoped for but 1000x more. He's my everything. I love Jesus so much! When you're in his presence everything washes away. Something that was super awesome too. Is that I could feel what he was feeling. His vengeance for the wicked, but the complete wholesome unconditional love that cannot be described on an earthly level. That's because it's not earthly its heavenly. I'm tearing up even now just thinking about it. I can relate to this on the smallest scale. As I really wanted to stay with Jesus forever. I never wanted his embrace to end. So yeah, this is a beautiful moment in the movie but also sad too. He is with us though. And the best part, he told me he's coming back soon to make things right. So don't give up hope. Almost 10 years ago.. I fell to my knees and my spirit and my mind was taken to a place beyond this world. I was brought to a place of fire but the fire did not burn me. It gave me warmth and out of the fire came a figure that shielded me from it's power, he held his arms out like a cross.. A lot of discussion here regarding if Christ.." taking off like a rocket or peacefully ascending in clouds " is accurate...no one really knows, but for a movie, it's a powerful scene IMO. If the Creator, God, exists and made all, then that force is more powerful than the Sun, stars , all natural things we know, so maybe Jesus ascending into a metaphysical light energy is accurate-food for thought and speculation.
Ofc this is a dramatisation. Some other movies portray his ascension in a more delicate and calm manner. Nonetheless, for those at the time that experienced the reall thing, it was probably an unimaginable event. Some might say this isnt even biblialy accurate the way they showed it. At Easter 2022, when I was an atheist, I saw this film casually broadcast live on TV and a tear fell upon seeing this scene. Even though I viewed religions as fairy tales at the time, I still began reading the Bible and studying various religions. Now, at Easter 2024, I'm back in the catholic church since more than a year ❤️

Everyone's talking about how he went like a rocket or explosion but that's because you're looking at it from a worldly perspective. From my point of view, that power and wind was the power of God. The presence of Jesus actually does that often to people. They feel a wind. Not that intense though. My mom felt it once. I often hear about it in worship groups.
People who mock that obviously have little to no faith. When Jesus returns it will be a greater spectacle than the human mind can imagine. What will they say then? When Jesus returns as the cloud rider in the sky, riding on a white horse. He will have many crowns on his head, his hair will be as white as snow and his eyes like flames of fire. If they can't even immerse themselves in a little puff of light and wind then their hearts are going to stop when the second coming happens. "Oh ye of little faith".

Jesus had to be put down so much to be lifted up and for His real truth to be shown. The same way He defended Himself, He can defend us, and even now He gives us something worth fighting for. When He says He has overcome the world, He did it for us so that we wouldn’t have the world on our shoulders forever

Yeshua was lifted up while He was still speaking and the disciples were still looking up at Him while He was taken up and a cloud gently covered Him. When the disciples were still starring at the sky, two angels appeared and spoke to them saying that this Yeshua will return back the same way He was taken up. I don't know why the movie directors always like to twist the Bible verses simply to make it look more interesting.

I know it is not a book of the Bible but I just read "The gospel of nickodemus and the acts of pilate", I also watched the documentary about the Shroud of Turin. After the sermon our preacher gave at church on Sunday " Rekindling the fire with in us", I feel my soul has been renewed.

I'm an agnostic, myself, but sometimes I envy believers because of how wonderful the story is and the good I've seen belief do for a lot of people. And I like the idea that if he's always with you, then you don't need to be all that fussed about if or when he returns, right?
The story of christ can touch even the coldest heart. And whether or not you believe he did miracles or was the son of God, understand that it is very real. If you look at the book of revelation in the bible, it talks about things which are literally happening in this day and age. Meaning uts prophetic right? Atheists have told me that the stuff mentioned in revelations was so bewildering it was frightening. How so much stuff mentioned in there is essentially what is going on in our day and age. The end is coming. It honestly breaks my heart when people reject thw truth, because they are only setting themselves up for eternal torment.

Everyone's talking about how he went like a rocket or explosion but that's because you're looking at it from a worldly perspective. From my point of view, that power and wind was the power of God. The presence of Jesus actually does that often to people. They feel a wind. Not that intense though. My mom felt it once. I often hear about it in worship groups.
People who mock that obviously have little to no faith. When Jesus returns it will be a greater spectacle than the human mind can imagine. What will they say then? When Jesus returns as the cloud rider in the sky, riding on a white horse. He will have many crowns on his head, his hair will be as white as snow and his eyes like flames of fire. If they can't even immerse themselves in a little puff of light and wind then their hearts are going to stop when the second coming happens. "Oh ye of little faith".

I know it is not a book of the Bible but I just read "The gospel of nickodemus and the acts of pilate", I also watched the documentary about the Shroud of Turin. After the sermon our preacher gave at church on Sunday " Rekindling the fire with in us", I feel my soul has been renewed.

I'm an agnostic, myself, but sometimes I envy believers because of how wonderful the story is and the good I've seen belief do for a lot of people. And I like the idea that if he's always with you, then you don't need to be all that fussed about if or when he returns, right?
The story of christ can touch even the coldest heart. And whether or not you believe he did miracles or was the son of God, understand that it is very real. If you look at the book of revelation in the bible, it talks about things which are literally happening in this day and age. Meaning uts prophetic right? Atheists have told me that the stuff mentioned in revelations was so bewildering it was frightening. How so much stuff mentioned in there is essentially what is going on in our day and age. The end is coming. It honestly breaks my heart when people reject thw truth, because they are only setting themselves up for eternal torment.
