    I have a few mentors !! I love having people I can look up too and go to for advice on things I’m working on and I agree it’s been easier to get a mentor through my friends ..

    I'm a huge advocate of mentorship. I actually started a mentorship program when i was an Career advisor at a college. Everything you said is ON POINT! I basically served as the go-between between mentors and mentees and you're right, its much easier if you can find a genuine, mutual connection rather than not. Great video.

    This is so helpful! Especially on the value giving & taking aspect. I actually read an article on it for one of my classes lol. I ALWAYS found it difficult to be the giver as a student/new grad.

    xoReni another great video, this information you share isn't only in mentorship for career or business. It could apply to family and your everyday friendship lives, sometimes there are some family and friends all they do is take, take, take from you and isn't will to share or even offer to share. Another thing is if you are the person who is always willing to share to them it is ok for them to receive, but when for them to share with you it becomes complicated. This is why in general some people seem to hold back from sharing due to past experience. I like the way you mention in your video don't always be taking, but have a willing heart to give back you never know where it may lead to in the long term. I hope my comments make sense, once again thank you for the video.

    Do you think it's a good idea to pay some of the larger TH-camrs to mentor you? I've seen some of them offer their services for a price.

    • @xoReni
      @xoReni  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question! For something look TH-cam I wouldn’t pay for services unless that person has a proven track record of helping other people succeed. Some of them may have a huge following but aren’t actually good at teaching/helping others. I wouldn’t want you to spend your hard earned money on someone like that 🙅🏾‍♀️

      @@WelcometoWillis she gave me some great advice and wisdom before you pay anyone do your homework make sure they actually helping cuz sometimes people look at it as a MoneyGram and don't teach you nothing could be a person with a million followers and might be genuinely want inside help but don't have the time or space and then you get some that's just looking to get Dade much money does paid so make sure you find someone that's good I'm doing it from the heart
