    Def: I object, your Honor
    Judge: On what grounds?
    Def: On the grounds that we have no defense but we have to make it look like we're doing an amazing job so we don't have to go through this all over again.

    In addition to all the safety measures uber and lyft have, there should be a code word that's auto-generated to the driver and rider. The driver should have to know the word before the rider gets in.

      They do have that for Uber it's an actual code that the passenger have to provide and put in before he could drive off

      When ppl are drunk, they don’t give a heck about code. The focus should be on intoxication not Uber.

    • @eza_ahm
      @eza_ahm 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Before getting into the car, she tried to get into another car which drove off. The discussion shouldn’t be on the ride sharing services but on one’s conducts during intoxication.

    I wonder if the defendant is angry that his handwriting is being trolled.
    Witness has 40 years of experience and is like, you know how you learn to write in school? He didn’t do any of that so this is really easy. LOL

    This case is so strange did this defendant snap? How did he think or believe he was going to be found innocent? And his girlfriend omg she must have been in shock with a baby in the house...omg...ladies do not let men stay overnight do not take Uber Rides. Regular Taxi's are a safer bet. Try to buddy up.

    • @christheprophet6583
      @christheprophet6583 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Uber or lyft are very safe. Just make sure to check the make and licence plate of the car before riding. You can also ask the driver to confirm the name of the passenger or request a pin number from uber. Some people are just distracted or drunk and forget about basic safety procedures.

      @Bella, yes your right about going in two's. Maria the ex was a great witness. The poor girl must have been beyond scared seeing all the blood and cleaning supplies. 😫

    • @geoffpoole483
      @geoffpoole483 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Taxis, Uber and Lyft are all very safe. There are isolated exceptions: look up John Worboys for an example. In the UK we have different classes of taxi; a minicab has to be pre-booked. You can't hail one like you can a taxi, and it's common for unlicensed minicabs to hang around clubs and bars.

    • @NicoleKe
      @NicoleKe 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Uber is safe. Requesting an Uber then getting in the first car you see pull up because you are impaired isn’t safe.

      I'm beginning to think the gf knew. No one lives in a house with blood plus rides around in a bloody car and is 100% innocent. She could have went to her mother's if she was scared but asked him to stay ? 🤔

      Here’s what I think so far. I don’t think he went to 5 Points intending to kidnap someone. I mean how likely is it that u pull up, park & a random female mistakenly gets in ur car? And on a street that busy, he wasn’t going to be able to drag someone in his car. Instead, I think he acted impulsively when she got in-most likely w/the intent of robbery , but possibly sexual assault. We know he got a PIN # for her debit (though it might have been wrong). I think he pulled away thinking he’d quickly force her to withdraw $ from ATM. But rather than meekly obeying, she began fighting, trying to kick the glass out etc & he freaked out. Either out of panic or anger, he began stabbing. If he stayed in the drivers seat, turned around, stabbing & wore the leather jacket w/scratches & blood, it would have been difficult for her to scratch him. I could be 100% incorrect. But that’s what makes the most sense to me, so far at least.

      @@maryb6672 they said he circled the bar about 5 times, then pulled into a spot. Was he just looking for a parking spot u think or a victim. I think a victim to rob since that’s a hot spot for young folks to party. And on another thread he had been involved in pawning and selling a kidnapped victims’ goods as well. So I think he was stalking.

      @@sashaquetta Could have been either-looking for place to park & jumped at the opportunity to rob her when she got in. Or he went looking for someone to rob. After doing some research into his history, I think I was correct when I said his intent had been to rob someone. But he didn’t plan on her non cooperation. He chose his path.
