Insane. Can‘t believe this has so few views. Such a brilliant mind
Thank you! Help share it!
I think Brad is going to be big in a mainstream business ether. Mark my words.
Marked. Wrong
Excellent interview. Looking fwd to reading this book in a couple weeks!
Hope you enjoy it!
I can't wait to read the book. I've been following up on Brad and the book release since I saw his interview with Forbes.
Great book!
Great question about asking why he went into oil with the assumption that he can talk to people and that the big players didn´t have all these communications set up. Great question
nicely done, thx for sharing
Knocked it out of the park James. Fascinating guy.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Great interview.
Thank you
Excellent excellent interview.
Thank you!
He’s gonna run for president, and he’s got my vote haha. Excellent interview thanks for sharing! 💯 book is pre-ordered and channel subscribed ✅🤙
Thank you. Maybe he should run!
Where did you pre-order? Struggling to find the best source for purchase
Once again, James presses for detail. "How exactly did you do X?" "What do you mean when you say Y?" Lots of great ideas and opinions, but the details are what help us learn the pattern's application. Clayton Christensen proved this before Andy Grove with disruptive innovation examples that sparked the Celeron discussions. I also like to hear shared the specific people who successful people credit for opening doors for them...AND who opened the door to/for that connection as well. I have met no people who are totally self made. It's strange, however, how few people take the opportunity to explain their success through a narrative of the people (and ideas of other people) that shared their thoughts, experience, opportunities, skills, etc. You can regularly see this when successful people don't name-lift, the generous inverse of name dropping (where you selfishly aim to bring someone higher in status than you down to your level to create the illusion of your own rising status). They have the best opportunity in the world to be generous without losing status, but amazingly, they forgo it. Think about that for the rest of your life.
Great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
@@TheJamesAltucherShowcheers mate! I’m excited to read this book, sounds like a solid read.
54:45-55:30 what a question 😂
His new stock is SSNT if you want to get in early 😊
Anyone else struggling to find Brad Jacobs book?
Book is coming out in Feb I believe.
@@TheJamesAltucherShow thanks James! Ive attempted reaching out to Brad directly in hopes I can get a copy sooner. I’m based in Africa but have my mom coming early next month so I’m hoping she can grab a copy before her departure 🤞🏾
@@TheJamesAltucherShow Hey James. No luck getting in touch with Brad yet. What are chances you’d be willing to do a fan a favor & let me buy your copy? 😅 Really looking to emulate his roll up strategy as an African founder 🤞🏾
snappier quicker questions...pls, this was such a struggle.
17:40 Brad is shocked... The major reason he decided to acquire road-rental companies in the late 90's is Congress enacting TEA-21.
Very poor and surface-level interview. I guess because of the shallow questions asked.
