I got my A51 a week ago (128 GB ROM, 8 GB RAM), and while I'm generally happy with the performance, the battery life is a little disappointing, probably due to the powerful processor. I've been running the phone on medium power save, which means throttling the processor speed to just 70%. Today I've decided to just set it on Optimize and let the adaptive power saving observe my habits. Most of my apps have already been put on deep sleep, except communication apps like email, Viber, Skype. I'm gonna observe how the phone performs with your tips.
I am actually glad I have the 8gb RAM version. These settings makes my phone extra snappy. It's already fast out of the box but it can compete with flagships with these settings.
Developer options are a must! (Window animation scale, top one turn off and next 2, set to 0.5 Disable all apps that aren't being used, Turn off background data usage Turn off background battery usage Turn off all radios that aren't being used...( Bluetooth, location, etc...) Theres a lot more tricks but this is why I love and only use android systems...one word: CUSTOMIZATION**

No it won't affect battery life, logically thinking about it sometimes helps. It's either going to run background processes (drains battery life) or focus more on the app opened (drains Battery life) :)

The A71 is so much faster than the 51, it definitely doesn't scale as one would think, up thru the range. Absolutely worth the little extra to get the A71 and not worry about having to find "Beast mode".

Theres a secret trick i found: go into call menu. Then press *#9900# then click debug level and enable high. Then while phone restarts u spam power key button, the u come into kernel mode. Then selelct: option #7 and then #2. Then option #18 and change SySDeb from low to ultra... Now everything u do goes 4x faster... thank me later!
I'm rocking an A20 and I'm actually satisfied with its performance for me, day to day... gonna keep it a year an buy an A51 S (or whatever will be out by year end)

It's not truly 'beast' if you didn't turn the animations all off instead of 0.5x. I have an LG G7 and I turned all 3 animations off. Now that's a beast.

I love that Samsung now has monthly software updates for all of it's phones (I'm not sure if it's limited to devices from 2019)
I am currently using j3 pro 2017 and it always give me software updates...now my software version is 9.0 (pie)...thats why i like samsung

You've got to be kidding you aren't improving performance just by disabling animation
You are not impoving performance, but you are shorthening the animations so it still makes it faster to use
