Josh Tillman is one of the few celebrities that says anything worthwhile, and you are one of the few people that knows how to interview him. Excellent!
This is really one of the better interviews I've heard. Usually these quiet, small room, not-so-good lighting interviews all tend to be mundane but this is really good. Keep going!
Vera, thank you so much! this is probably the best interview Josh gave out there on TH-cam, it's not like most where he's just making fun of the situation and playing with the interviewer, it's earnest, he's feeling every word and truly thinking deep about the process of creation, how's the perceiving of the persona and how it interacts with his real self and the public and what it all means, it's rewarding to watch
If he looks more comfortable and interested in this interview, it's likely because the questions aren't geared towards tagging other artists for publicity and promotion. Thanks Vera for being maybe the first, real interviewer I've seen with FJM.
This is a great interview. It seems like Josh really enjoyed it. Seems like he's making an attempt lately to be less of a pretentious ass which I'm torn on because it's part of why he's so funny
You know that story that you make your mind on someone in a matter of seconds? You can see that's true in this interview,Josh tries to one up every interviewer that goes through the usual interview way. But in this you can actually perceive the respect
Father John Misty is coming to Lisbon next week, please talk with him again! Let's all make a petition for that to happen! I would love to see a sequel of this interview!
Hey - thank you for re-posting with the interview turned up and music turned down in the mix! This is a great interview - very honest and thoughtful! Didn't realize it - but I follow you on IG too.
She is amongst my favorite music journalists. She knows how to ask the right questions, and she LISTENS without talking over the person being interviewed. Rare qualities.
Leif Gustavson well, no. His alter ego is an alter ego, it's his own experiences projected on a sarcastic and cynical persona. The thing with this album is that he used his own life as its object, which can be misleading. But I think you can and should interpret it as you wish and feel like it
His previous incarnation as fleet-foxes inspired acoustic, earnest, singer/songwriter, under the moniker j.tillman was his alter-ego despite it being under his own name.
You do a great interview with Father John Misty - bravo! He is smart and doesn't talk bullshit. But why do you show a concert with him instead of observing him with the camera while he is making up his answers? My tip: Next time, let the stock market prices run at the bottom and the current billboard charts at the top of the screen. Then at least everyone has the chance to be bored.
Someone pls tell this pretentious, spiritually bitter, and selfcentered wannabe to stop talking about his own intellect as if he was Gilles Deleuze or something... and to go listen to Pink Siffu
Good interview. Nice to see him not killing the interviewer for once

:D Thanks for re-uploading with a better quality sound. You are a good listener!

From 12:52 the video and audio is out of sync.
Apart from that, I enjoyed getting to know Misty a bit more, thanks.
Bored in the USA was a precursor to Pure Comedy
This interviewer is a babe.
Have you seen her instagram?instagram.com/faithlessthewondergirl/ OMG girl crush

I feel like this interview without music would be a lot more awkward
Why is there a music track in the background of an interview? Extremely distracting.
AllisonAlliAllison Definitely. this is my third time listening to it, trying to focus on the dialog. Very frustrating.
so his alter ego was just who he is?
