Great check-in! Can’t wait for September’s to see how much gas money you save! Love the digital and the split screen! Have a great rest of your week! 🌸🌷💗
Thanks so much Christine! I appreciate you being here! 💛
Nice breakdown for the month of August and the first paycheck, Stephanie. And yes to the split screen 🙂
Thanks for watching Nija 💜
Great close out, can't believe how fast summer is coming to an end
Thank you Shannon, yes, time is flying! It'll be the new year before we know it!
Thank you for the update on the gas 🤗, great weekly update.
@@lindacee2893 you're welcome! Thank you for watching!
Hi Stephanie!! I’m here listening!!
Thank you for checking in Melissa, I appreciate you being here!
Great check in Stephanie! 🤗
Thank you Irene!
Happy Wednesday, Stephanie! Great check in. Love the digital, I really need to charge my ipad and find a digital for it. Then figure out how to record on it LOL You know, because I have nothing else to do at all. hahahahaha I hope you have been well. I know I have been slacking, I am working on the next group play and getting it out right now. I still listen but I don't always get the chance to comment. Yay, for not having to do the twists and getting a break. That was a very reasonable price for him to get that done. I pay off our credit cards 1 to 2 times a week most of the time. I get it. But, I love the cash back rewards. They help out so much. 💙
Happy Wednesday Elaine! On my tablet there's a screen record button so it just records my screen so you probably have a function like that on ur iPad. I get it, the busy just got busier w back to school so now I'm running to town twice a day.
Good tracking ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Thank you Priscilla!
Good morning! Here for the check in! I go in and pay my credit card off weekly with paychecks. Otherwise it would get overwhelming!
Hi Ang, thank you for watching!
Hey Steph great check in 😊 yay for not having to pay for consultation
Thank you Brittney! Yes, so much better than 140 bucks!
Great check ✔️ in, and yes, a retie for Zuri takes 3 hours. I need a loctician fr! ❤
Thank you Stephanie! I appreciate you being here 💗
Hey Steph great budget check in! I was cutting my hubs hair for awhile and hated every second of it. Believe me when I say I have no experience with cutting hair. I can barely style my own 🤣 and this man was asking me to fade his hair. We now pay for the barber 🤣🤣
Hahaha 😆 the things we do for the hubs! I'm trying to save money but I didn't sign up for this when HE decided to grow locs lol. Thanks for watching 💜
I read that one of the cheapest ways to get gas is from Sam’s or Costco. I try to fill up at Sam’s on weekends but waiting in that long line takes a lot of patience. I keep saying I’m going to try Upside
@@summerjoy247 yes, the lines are forever long! I use upside, it's easy and free! I drove by a raceway and it was 3.39 a gallon. The Murphys at wm was 3.12, I said that's a sign lol thanks for watching!
Hey hey!! yes cc's for the cash rewards is awesome! I have the eco thing in my Pilot and I still feel like I don't save money on gas. lol But I had an Accord previously which is a smaller car so maybe that's why i feel like i'm not saving. lol
Yes, 2 snaps for the rewards! I love the fraud protection too bc too much of that is going on! Yea, you probably got better gas mileage in the accord. Take it off eco and it might get worse 😆
Nice check in Stephanie! It takes me like 1.5 days to do my 8 year olds hair. She has a couple more years and then I am going to have to pay someone. ☺️💜
@@faithbydesignXO ooommmggg and I thought I had it bad! Fortunately we have all boys so I DIDNT have to do much hair but my own lol Bryan cuts the boys hair.
Hey, Stephanie!! Awesome!!😊😊 Guess what? I uploaded my first video yesterday!😊😊

That loc maintenance is real...lol... I'm at the point now that I might start a Sinking fund... great video...and yes the split screen is dope..
@@modorrahbudgets yea, I'm ready for him to decide he doesn't want them anymore lol. I didn't sign up for this when u signed up to grow locs lol
For an assortment of reasons we are using the credit card more in our current financial, era than we have in the past. We too pay the credit card bill down to zero multiple times per month.
@@terryhenderson424 yes, I think the biggest reason for me is fraud protection. With credit cards the liability is 0 but w our debit card, we never get our money back and it takes forever to resolve.
@@budgetfor5withstephanie Yes, Yes, Yes on the fraud protection. There are some areas we must go with parking garages only and card payment only. We believe it was from at a parking garage but someone tried to use our card number to buy just under $500 worth of tennis shoes on-line. The attempted purchase was caught before it even went through by the credit card company. On and off skimmers hit our area pretty hard; actually saw one at a Walmart which I will say the Walmart loss prevention people and management responded to right ready. Part of our increased use of the credit card is for retail purchases where we dont feel comfortable too.
Great Check-in ❤ like that you are doing it digitally now. 😊 Do you still write it all down? Have a wonderful day!
@@Niensbudget thank you Nien! Yes, I'm still writing it in my planner also lol. I'm going to be back in my planner in September so I didn't want to leave a gap in it lol
You folks are probably too hot for this yet but one hardy yet potentially inexpensive after school snack begins with a microwaved potato. Then top this with a heated gravy, white sauce based, or even spaghetti sauced based scoop of goodness. Add to the sauce bits of left over (or canned/cooked) small diced veggies or even small pieces of meat; even some canned green beans, corn, or other.
Another snack idea is to make a casserole and offer a bit of casserole. Optionally. Let the casserole cool down them cut into portioned squares/ rectangles and individually plastic wrap; refridgerate or freeze.
A little bit of honest to goodness food can be more filling than most of the snack foods. And also less expensive.
@@terryhenderson424 oh those potatoes sound good. Another version of loaded baked potato. Yes, I def need to find more filling snacks bc they're eating 3 at a time lol
@@budgetfor5withstephanie Some chili works pretty good on top of a "baked" potato too. We're still eating from an off brand, great priced chili purchase from the larder so I don't know what a can of say Nalley's costs any more. A single can of chili should do 3 medium-ish sized potatoes from the inexpensive, 10 lb bags of russets. At one of our stores, these have been running $2.49 for 10lb, $1.49 for 5lb since about June or July; the 5lb just dropped to $1.28 a couple of weeks ago. You get about 40 potatoes in a 10lb bag i think but let's figure it at 30 potatoes and a cost of $4/ bag with a result of @$.13/ potato (4.00/30). Figure a can of chili at $2.50 split 3 ways to come up at $.83/ each. A potato snack with chili then comes out at $.96 which we'll call $1. There is plenty of opportunity to increase and decrease this cost between a smidgen and a lot.
Even so, compare the $1/ ea against both the cost of the ready-made grocery store snack foods and the amount of "stick to the ribs" they provide.
White sauce uses milk for a base and generally calls for 2 cups in a recipie. Divide a 128 gallon of milk by 16 (# 8oz cups) and then the price of a gallon of milk by 16 to arrive at the cost per cup; for a traditional white sauce recipie youll have to multiply the cost per cup by 2. There are 32 Tablespoons of butter in a pound (8Tbs/stick, 4 sticks/1lb). Divide the cost of a pound of butter by 32 to determine the cost for 1 Tablespoon; multiply by 2 for a standard white sauce recipie. For myself, I generally don't count the cost of the flour, salt, and pepper. Add the cost of 2 cups of milk amd 2 Tablespoons of butter to arrive at a rough cost of 2 cups of white sauce. Now if you add bullion flavoring, cheese, or other flavorings you do have to figure in the cost of these things. If you add things like meats and veggies, you do have to add in the costs of these things too. But if you figure milk at $4/ gal and butter at $4/ pound the cost per cup of milk is $.25 and $.125 per Tablespoon of butter; 2 cups of white sauce comes out at about @$.75 then divide by 3 portions for $.25/ each. Figure that potato at $.13 and potato with white sauce at a rough $.33/ each. To come in at or below the $1/ each snack be judicious with the what and the quantity of add-ins. (Baked potatoes au gratin, or is it scalloped potatoes, is simply potato slices baked in flavored white sauce (often bullion or seasoning salt) with no cheese added.)
Love the video doing a great job 🙂.
@@kishasneed585 thank you Kisha! 😊
Do you prefer to do your budget digitally or using pen and paper?
@@BudgetWithReeCee ooo if I had to do one forever I think I'd chose paper and pen. Just something about it 😌
One question...What application do you use to edit your digital sheet?
@@modorrahbudgets gm! I'm using xodo :)
