This looks fantastic, pre-hispanic garments in the Philippines are so stunning, I Iove how it glitters with gold! I'm a Việt kiều and our historical clothing (Việt phục) is also represented in the Boxer Codex so despite the close distance between Vietnam and the Philippines, it's interesting how vastly different they look! The Visayan fashion seem to follow an indianized style where the ensemble of the Kinh are more sinicized.
The Central Philippines, Visayas, was Hindunised as our ancestors migrated and fled from a kingdom/Rajanate in Borneo… and the Cham people of Champa Southern Viet was Austronesian and related to us before becoming too heavily influenced by Han China. Even Proto Thai was Austronesian as they migrated from a homeland in Taiwan, but when they reached mainland Asia, they got too influenced by Sino Tibetan languages and China that they changed languages all together…
