“That's a lot of nuts! That'll be four bucks, baby! You want fries with that?”
"He just left! With nuts!"
Bro the amount of me and my friends quoting that line (loudly) during college was staggering 😂 People were looking at us weirdly.
lol same
Hi Betty!
taco bell taco bell product placement with taco bell
"you go that way. i'll go home" still pops into my head 22 years later
I still use that at least once a week at work.
"We have purposefully trained him wrong, as a joke." Kills me every time lmao.
And the follow up: "If you've got an ass, I'll kick it!" 😅
The making of for this movie is hilarious too. Seeing how they blended multiple martial arts movies together with green screen is fantastic.
Not to mention the "What they're *actually* saying" with "I'M SOMEBODY'S MOMMY!" dubbed by "I implore you to reconsider."
I thought it was just one?
Not to mention Steve playing almost every character.
@@L_87 You're right, it's just one film called "Tiger & Crane Fists," from the mid-70s.
@@L_87 it was two, plus they built a couple of their own sets.
I've never clicked on an OctoKrool video so fast. there aren't enough reactions to this movie.
Funny that you say that. I, last week, put kung pow and octokrool into the youtube search.
Same!
@@hughdalton7622 true, they should react to it again.
This movie is a gem. I've watched only Mellverse reacting to it, before the guys.
100%
"I implore you to reconsider!!!!!"
...Okay.
I have been waiting for over 20 years for the appropriate time to use that with my friend who also knows this movie... knowing that he could not continue to refuse my request after asking that way.
he said calmly
I feel like you need to retype this in all lower case. Lol. Just because.
"No, please, I have a wound there..."
"Nnnnuuuuh... Don't spoil everything... This works for both of us! Unnhhh... Nnnnnuuuuh!"
This is one of the weirdest, most quotable movies in the world. When I was in the Air Force, we would constantly quote this film while we cleaned the barracks.
Too many people don’t appreciate it for what it is
We used to watch super troopers while hurrying up and waiting after PT and preparing for the next exercises. Lol
same, except it was MOS school and Marines
My husband and I sing the Neosporin song to this day whenever we need it for a cut.
"Better do what the Drill Sergeant says, or he"ll cut off your big toe!"
This has to be the silliest, stupid, over the top comedy movie ever made and I love it so much I may need a brain scan. Great reaction as always
"Hey! Who is he?"
- (Copious amounts of mouth movements) "I don't know."
🤣
“I got some yellow liquid for your popcorn and it’s non dairy!”😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂
Fun story: When this movie came out on DVD I bought it and watched it a few times with a few different friends. Went to visit my mom and watched it with my sister. As the credits were rolling my brother walked in and said "What's this?" My sister and I shot each other a look and restarted it immediately. We all laughed our asses off again. As soon as the credits started to roll again, in walks my dad asking why our faces were all red. All three of us confirmed looks, and again we restarted it. Dad made it as far as "So cute. Bye-bye." and walked out the door.
So glad you boys enjoyed it too.
The line you quoted was the line my dad said was the only funny line in the movie to him, he was not happy taking me and my step brother to the theater for this
Friggin' dads, amirite?
Idk, im a dad and i quote this movie all the time and just watched it with my 2 sons. I think there are 2 types, silly dads and serious dads. Im sorry yours was the latter. @@marklevensalor5078
@@Olibubb 😮 cool you got to see it in theater 😅😊
“THAT’S A LOT OF NUTS!!!” is my favourite line, and also the perfect description of this film. 😂
"HE JUST LEFT!, WITH NUTS!" 💀💀💀
“and who do you rule, the large dark nipple people” 😂
They look like milk duds
I’ve got some yellow liquid for your popcorn, and it’s non dairy 😏
We saw this in the theater, and WE WERE IN THE AISLE laughing!! A group of us, most of them were martial arts instructors and we watched a lot of martial arts movies. The baby rolling down the hill had us sent!!
Same! I saw this in the cinema too, laughed till I’m about to puke. 🤣
Dubs in the past were so bad and this movie simply capitalised on it perfect.
I saw it with my cousins at the dollar cinema. We knew nothing about the movie and was greatly surprised at how funny it was. We immediately bought it when it came out on video.
*THATS A LOT OF NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
One of the best lines.
What do you get when you cross an Owl with a bungee cord?
....My Ass
I swear, this whole movie is just a Try Not to Laugh challenge 🤣
I would lose every time when the lady picks up the baby says "So cute. Bye bye!" and then rolls him down the hill again. XD
Literally
"Let me know. . .if you see. . .a RadioShack."
Oooooh
Taco bell... taco bell. Product placement with taco bell. Lol
@@skyttylyou ever spot the Hooters in the background of that scene?
@jeremylackey6587 yep. I remember that too, as they're moving the table for the fight with Betty. Lol
Multiple rewatches are highly recommended
It's one of the few movies that's still funny no matter how many times you watch it. Lol
It cost $10M and made $17M worldwide. That's not enough for a sequel.
Not necessarily, that's theatrical sales, there's been many sequels to movies that didn't fair well in the box office but did in home releases. The thing is the sequel mentions were most likely a joke, not seriously considered.
@@morrius0757 The sequel mentioned was definitely a joke.
I was overseas in Germany with the Army when this movie came out. For MONTHS after whenever we ordered nuts in the motorpool the phrase, "THAT'S A LOT OF NUTS!" was routinely repeated.
I still catch myself saying that all the time. Lol
The scene where the guys goes "That's a lot of nuts!" was something that always made my friend and myself laugh when we watched it. We would quote this movie all day. It was absolutely hilarious and glad you guys enjoyed it too.
"From now on, you will call me Betty."
Your shirt is now BLUE!
Steve Oedekerk (chosen one) wrote and directed ace ventura when nature calls and made a bunch of thumb parodies like bat-thumb, frankenthumb, thumb wars
Which honestly explains so, so much about this film.
"I'm falling. You're falling. We're falling. W-WHALE!!!"
The "underlying" movie is called Tiger and Crane Fists about two rival kung fu schools who have to team up to fight an agent of the Japanese occupation of China in WWII.
Im still trying to "wrap" my brain around that one, too.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Im 100% sure these two would try to take a bite out of a book, before they read one.
@@lizd2943 thanks for the info!
I honestly have a hard time picturing this taking place then since I keep thinking this is like WAY earlier.
@@Igarappappa Most of China was pretty undeveloped back then.
@@lizd2943 No, I mean if I was gonna send an occupation force I'd send dudes with fucking guns.
YAAAASSS I'm so pumped this won and you guys are watching this masterpiece!!!
It didn't win. It was in two Patreon polls and came in third both times out of only 4 options. Weeohweeohweeoh!
@slowprodigy I didn't check the poll I just assumed it won. That was badong of me. Thanks for the info weeeooooo
"Oh, Taco Bell, Taco Bell, product placement with Taco Bell. Enchirito..." the dubbing and re-use of older movies is a great mix.
The first time i watched KUNG POW I was really really high, and for years I thought I hallucinated it until on day I randomly remembered it and went weeyouwee, my friend laughed and told me the movie it was from.
Mate! I was kinda like that with fear and loathing in Las Vegas… a little bit
When the Nintendo first introduced the wii, I thought of this movie. Then they introduced the wii u and I lost it. Lol
I remember when this movie came out. Quotes from this movie have lived rent free in my head since.
Oh geez, now the snorting starts.
WeeEwwWeeEwwWee
Guys, in three years, I have NEVER seen you lose it as much as you did in this reaction! I don't even know if they actually made a sequel, but if they did, I'll be watching that reaction, as well!
Until then, wee-ooh-wee-ooh-WEEEEEE!!!
Fully transposing an actor into a movie that's 30 years older - I honestly don't know how this wasn't nominated for editing or special effects. As cheesy as the movie is, the concept itself makes a mark in history.
Damn. That's like if one of us made a spoof version of Last Action Hero, or Demolition Man, or something like that. 😅
There's a Steve Martin movie where they did a similar thing using noir movies.
WEEWWYUU. WEEEEEYUUU! 🤣
''Don't say anything to mom.'' 🤣🤣
This movie forever changed the way I ask for a towel. & I'll still sing the taco bell jingle from this frequently among other things that a lot of people around me don't get.😄
The boys and I still quote this movie all the time 20 years later.
One of my childhood feelgood movies. So stupidly funny. Thanks lads.
18:35 "That's a lot of nuts!" so many days his line delivery here just randomly pops in my head lol
We as fans gotta get more reactors to do this one 👍
when he was running back and forth from almost dead body to almost dead body is one of the funniest bits ever lollllllllllll
Please tell me you watched the credits so you could see how they created some of the scenes.
And I'm glad he rested any temptation to make a sequel. This film is one in a million.
They didn't make a sequel because the first one didn't do well.
I was super saddened that a sequel was never made as a kid. I anticipated it for a long time.
Beware his song about big butts. He beats you up while he plays it! 😂😂
It's about time someone reacted to this! Thank you!
"Taco bell taco bell...." watching the making of this movie is a blast as well!
A personal favorite 😂
4:53 "He's hitting him with the sniff"
We call that a Biden 😂
Or if it’s from behind, “the Diddy”
@@noraa1991or the Donald if it's on Epstein Island 😏
My dad and I saw this in the theater back in 2002, and to this day, it’s the hardest I’ve ever seen him laugh. He was raised on those old king fu movies and shows, so he had a deep appreciation for the dubbing jokes, the absurd moves, all of it. There were tears in his eyes he laughed so hard.
I had the "I'll take a pound of nuts" scene as my message alert tone back in the day. Never fails to make me lose it laughing
One of my childhood favorite movies.
Those gopher-chucks though!!!
I still randomly yell out, "That's a lot of nuts!!" because of this film.. It's so dumb, but so funny!
One of my favorite kung fu spoofs of all time. As I described it to my friends "Its like having a fever dream after a Bruce Lee movie marathon."
It's the greatest travesty in the world we never got a sequel to this film.
I've been quoting this movie randomly for the past 22 years and I befriend anyone instantly who has have heard of this movie.
This movie was a highlight of my teen years.
Actually this is impressive and insightful but it’s what I call smart stupid.
When the udders on the cow got punched, Milkshake was made. LOL
Holy Shit. I forgot this movie existed. I laughed until I was sick and sore, and re-watched it many time. This was all based on the creativity of the one dude that played the protaganist, and it's a damn shame we all dont know his name and pray to the gods of comedy in his name every night. lol
The man is Steve Oedekerk, writer of Bruce Almighty, Ace Ventura 2, Nutty Professor, Nothing to Lose, those Thumb films, etc.
I'm not even kidding you, but when this came out, I saw it in a late showing with some friends not knowing anything about it/what to expect and we got physically ill from laughing so hard. We were rolling in the damn isles. Laughing to this movie is so consistent that you get actually exhausted. I was convinced for years that this was the funniest movie ever made, and tbh, I don't even think it's tappable. And the thing is too, it gets funnier with time SOMEHOW.
For anyone who has seen Cobra Kai, my family looked at me like I was crazy when I shouted Enjoy the PARALYZER! Another PARALYZER!
When Chozen temporarily paralyzed Daniel's arms in their battle.
This is one of the funniest movies ever made.
If you have the DVD, the extras are pretty on point as well.
-A "What they were actually saying" segment.
-The Mufasa scene was shot after they ran out of money and needed to connect two scenes so Steve Odenkirk just went to his backyard with a blow-dryer and shot that scene.
-The numerous fail-takes of trying to do the slide-to-grab-the-udders.
In the commentary they mention that when they got the original film, it basically fell apart in their hands taking it out because it was so old and they reconstructed it basically backwards where the ending bits are shown near the beginning of Kung Pow and vise versa. And they also point out all the numerous needless CGI additions like the frog, whale, ect.
I grew up with this movie and love it SO MUCH! I’m happy people are watching it too. 💞
You will quote this film forever now... enjoy that. The creativity of this flick is amazing and I honestly don't know how they managed to land so many jokes.
Me and my brother quoted several parts of this movie for years.
"I'm falling, you're falling, we're falling........ WHALE" .... we said that SO much along with so many lines....
I do hope you guys noticed the whale in that scene going down the waterfall.
Hands down the goofiest movie since Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Master Tang's taco bell and neosporin songs get me every time
I watched this movie as a kid and then forgot about it for 15 years. You can not imagine my delight at the rediscovery
Making the main love interest sound like Miss Piggy was genius, Weee-ooooo!!!
Awesome reaction of my favorite movie!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
this is such a stupid movie, so happy you’re watching it :0
I clicked on this so damn fast!
"This is CNN" is a reference to the fact Mufasa was voiced by James Earl Jones, who was an anchor for CNN at one point.
I KNEW you guys would love this! It's so incredibly silly, quotable, and ridiculous.
It's amazing because I really didn't like the first chapter on DVD and nearly shut it off. Once he gets to the training academy (literally a chapter skip on DVD) it became amazing. Wimp Lo, Betty, just everything. Incredible!
“My nipples look like milk Duds!!” 😂
Oh my lord I didnt see this coming, absolutely LOVE this movie. Highly recommend getting the dvd if you can find it, theres 2 alternate audios, one is a director commentary, and another is all of the original lines from when the actors were actually doing the scenes.
>"I am going to see you again, in the sequel" (c) Monoboob
>22 years later, still waiting
"Thats alotta Nuts!" Had me dying 😂
It's one of my favourite comedy films ever made. Really something to have documented a physical injury caused by the effectiveness of the film. I'm going to use that in the future when defending this film.
I watched this movie so much that my little bro couldn't watch it again for years XD
The fart that killed the dog😂😂😂
This is one of my favorite movies of all time lmao I'm glad y'all liked it
Clicking this video was the quickest click I've ever had. I watched this movie every time it came on TBS:The Superstation (before they went to peachtree) and they always played every movie twice in a row. Glory.
22 years later and I’m still waiting on That damn sequel 😂
YO your guys first initial burst of laughter at Betty's first line added years to my life.
The reaction I never expected!
Save the whales.
Me and a friend watched this movie baked once, and the line "my finger points" had my friend doubled over laughing for a solid 5 mins.
This is the best movie ever
One of my favorite movies I'm so glad you're watching it almost nobody understands my references for this!!
You have no idea how long I have waited for you guys to watch this movie!!
Absolute favourite movie!! What a classic!! Every scene is iconic in this movie!! Oh my days!!
Haha this movie was ahead of its time. It was totally misunderstood when it came out.
You either love this movie or you hate it, there is no in between. This is one of my favorite comedies.
"Wimp Lo! Wimp Lo!"
*sound of flies buzzing*
"...oh."
“Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, I wonder where my glove will go” is one of my favorite quotes from this movie 😂
I can quote this movie from start to finish!!!! So good!!!! 💯😂
That cow is a state treasure, he won the Wisconsin county fair championship 3 years in a row.
Weeuuu weeeuuuu weeeuuu weeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Chosen one! chosen one! 😂 I knew this hilarious movie would find you guys eventually 🤣
Black hat and red hat is a nice touch. When I was a kid, I was the red hat and my twin brother was the blue hat
