I find it fascinating what Lindsay has to say. I love how her team has brought in the past seasons. I love how the focus is on community and family. I also love how Elizabeth is finally listening to her heart. Because I didn't see her choice of Lucas as the heart decision. It was a head decision. Elizabeth confirmed that by saying she made the secure, comfortable, and safe choice.

I have loved the surprises. All of them. It feels like Hope Valley is "home" again. I loved that Lindsay saw her path never really changed. She came to Cope Valley, was determined to stick it out and make a difference through teaching and fell in love eventually with a man she saw as an excellent man, who also was a mountie. But she noticed that he was a Mountie first. But then she lost him, and we found her heart was pulled in two different directions. I think it's telling that one man in that original scenario saw who she was at the core, but once again she was running from what was truly in her heart. Is she still? We will stay tuned.
Also, I personally I’m not struggling at all. I am thrilled with the turn of events and have always believed she belonged with Nathan! So I know that not everybody is upset with this episode!! And on the contrary, this Season actually brought me back to the show because I had left after the end of season eight! Awesome job for fixing the story writers!!!

Please know that there are thousands of people who are still very happy with the story of WCTH. I think this has been one of the best seasons for all characters and their story lines. I know it is very sad for the hearties who wanted Lucas and Elizabeth to marry, but just think about the wonderful story that will come out of their heartbreak! I wanted Elizabeth to choose Nathan in Season 8 and was so disappointed, but I continued watching the show because it’s WCTH and we all love it! This season has had the same excitement as Season 8 each week. I have been so excited on Sunday night to watch! #hearties
I struggled through season 9 and I was so grateful that this season felt more like home! Many people are saying S10 Elizabeth does not feel like S8-9 Elizabeth, but in that same vein, I struggled with S8-9 Elizabeth because She felt like a stranger from the Elizabeth of seasons 1-7. I grew to genuinely dislike S8-9 Elizabeth and was to the point that I wished her off the show. I was grateful that S10 Elizabeth felt like she was coming back to herself.
Writers have so much to think about when it comes to writing a story that seems true. An impossible choice where either way would have been beautiful. I do appreciate that it seems Lucas will be given more complex storylines in the days ahead.

Thanks for the interview. Despite all choices and explanations I find ending a beautiful love story, in particular on a show I count on to be a feel good romantic heartwarming show, just really sad. I truly hope Elizabeth and Lucas find their way back to each other, but I'm not sure I can ever watch the show with a peaceful heart if they don't. I loved seeing Lucas become a father to little Jack too. I absolutely hope they don't put Elizabeth with anyone but Lucas at this point - alone or back to her love are the only options I can see.
It’s unfortunate that Elizabeth did not have any conversations with Lucas or really anyone else leading up to this. Especially after she visited Jack’s grave you could tell something was bothering her. She’s an articulate woman and it just seems sad that Episode 11 was so abrupt. Ending season nine with the happy engagement that little Jack even helped with Ann now to see it and like this is beyond sad and does not seem to flow.
I am a LucaBeth fan. I am disheartened💔 by the episode this week. From some of the comments here, I agree that the 2 previous seasons have featured the growth of the deep love and respect of Lucas for Elizabeth and vice versa. It was evident, specially in the end of Season 8 and the rest of Season 9 how loving and connected Lucas and Elizabeth were. This eventually led to the proposal. This season, the journey of Rosemary and Lee as new parents was highlighted. But, the latter episodes showed problems that threatened Hope Valley and decisions have to be made. Lucas is the sacrificial lamb, so to speak. He had to run as Governor to save Hope Valley. Although I understand Elizabeth's reasons for the break~up as she chose to stay in HV. I just hope that there is a way for Lucas and Elizabeth to patch things up and work things through because theirs is a love that I believe is still meant to be. I always enjoy listening to Lindsay, she is very articulate and gave the listeners a lot of insight into some of the pivotal scenes from episode eleven. I know the final scene of the episode cast a big shadow, but there were some other powerful scenes that were barely mentioned or analyzed.

Lindsey was saying they looked back at the characters & going forward, they wanted the storylines to be true to these characters, but I'm sorry, they missed the boat. Just can't see anyone who watches the beautiful, loving relationship that grew between Lucas & Elizabeth & even Little Jack, would come to the conclusion that this couple should go their separate ways. Yes, there's some differences in their personalities, but they know how to talk through things & resolve their issues. I've listened to this podcast three times & still think they ruined a beautiful storyline. Their thinking that Elizabeth is worried about Little Jack if Lucas became governor, but again that's something Lucas & her could talk about. If Lucas were to win, it would only be a 4 yr term..a douable situation. Maybe because I was a military wife for over 15 yrs with 4 children & sometimes it could be tough, but you work it out. No, sorry, but this episode really didn't make sense. I want to see where the show goes for Episode 12, but if Season 11 has Lucas & Elizabeth just as 'friends', like nothing has happened between them, I don't think I'll be able to watch that.
I have a doubt, as you say you are faithful to Elizabeth's character, if she chose Lucas, made a commitment and accepted a marriage proposal, in which she would be committing to accompany him if you made her break up with Lucas such a horrible way. She didn't even cry. It was ridiculous! How can I find a woman who is engaged to a man but encourages another with looks to be right? Unlike season 7, Elizabeth had a commitment to Lucas. Is it okay to cheat on someone emotionally? Is it correct to supposedly say that she loves someone but never actually loved them?
The writers and producers have been clear that Nathan and Elizabeth are friends. Nothing untoward occurred between them. We address the restraint in their emotions in the breakup season and in ep. 12 in Part 1 of the episode 12 insights chat.
The change of Elizabeth and Lucas’ love story is disappointing. Nathan and Elizabeth have never dated or had long or meaningful interactions. If she leaves Lucas for him it makes no sense and terrible for the show. The E and L love story was really beautiful and it seems like writers were trying to appease angry Nathan fans. I think the new showrunner got it wrong and turned off s lot of fans. Also made Elizabeth unlikeable.

It feels like some of the women in the show have changed and weakened. Mei is barely appearing as a pharmacist. Fiona has a light appearance. She and Mike appeared to like each other a few seasons ago and now that’s gone.
I just love these chats so much after each episode, thanks for doing them. I get to feel again through all the scenes in the last weeks episode and I could probably watch the Rosemary Elizabeth midnight scene about 20 more times.🥲
