S11 was the best season ever written in When Calls the Heart history. The acting was amazing! Thank You to the cast and crew for S11. I can't wait for S12! ❤ Nathan and Elizabeth are a couple!!! I love it! 😊
@@DawnStrickland-o4t I do hope that things improve for Lucas in S12 though. In S11, Lucas had a hard time with no on taking his bid on the resort. I'm sure Jeanette was behind no one taking his bid. She probably had threatened other people. So, for Lucas being governor it was a time of growing pains trying to figure out how to do the job as governor. I loved when Lucas verified the hand written letter and the signed receipt was Jeanette's hand writing. I loved that Nathan realized Jeanette was the problem and Bill too saying she was playing them. I loved that Lucas realized Jeanette was Shaw. Chris McNally did well in his role as governor Lucas this season. I belive S12, Lucas will go back to Capital City and prove he was meant to be governor and do well. I always thought Lucas has the personality that fits for someone that's a politician, the governor. He will meet someone in Capital City. Lucas will bring his new love interest back to Hope Valley. The whole community will meet her.
@@catherinemeadows6682 I'm not going to say anything against Chris as Lucas, but rather why I think Kevin as the character, Nathan is the better choice for Elizabeth. However, I will say what makes CM's character Lucas a character I liked to watch on WCTH what I do like about this character's role as it makes Lucas very interesting. I like how Chris plays this part of his role as Lucas.. I do like Lucas as a saloon owner/businessman with a mysterious past that catches up with him as governor. Wow his ex-girlfriend Jeanette was a criminal. I wonder what more we will find out about Lucas in S12? Personally, I think Lucas is a man who straddled the lines of right & wrong morally and/or ethically, but didn't do anything illegal. However, Jeanette was just like Lucas straddled the lines of right and wrong until one day she did cross that line becoming a criminal. Lucas may be someone who straddled the lines of right & wrong, but doesn't want to do illegal things causing him to end up in jail. Lucas is smart, so he left Jeanette. He bought the saloon/hotel in HV & started a new life there in S6. Here's how I saw Lucas.....I personally think Lucas was physically attracted to Elizabeth, but it started out a game for Lucas. Lucas is a gambler, card trick player, & a competitor. So, this man with not such a great past was interested in Elizabeth as she was physically attractive, but his intentions were not necessarily honorable. For Lucas, it started out a game to get with the pretty woman, Elizabeth. He was a gambler. He thought he could win her affections. He used tricks up his sleeve/ games like fancy grand gestures & money to try to win Elizabeth's affections. This was all beginning before Nathan came to town when Lucas starting from the very beginning to phrase it essentially wine & dine Elizabeth with his fancy smooth tricks. Remember, Bill thought Lucas was up to no good & was mysterious when Lucas came to town. Sherrif Bill Avery was thinking Lucas was a criminal all before Nathan Grant came to HV. Well, Nathan comes to town. As Nathan gets to know Lucas, Constable Nathan Grant also thinks Lucas is mysterious probably has a shady past & I'm thinking Nathan thought Lucas was a criminal too that just hadn't gotten caught yet. Yet Bill & Nathan came to the same conclusions without talking to each other about Lucas in S6. So, like I said Lucas was trying to win Elizabeth's affections. While at fist Nathan came to HV to work as lawmen of course, but really he came to look out for & protect Elizabeth & Jack Jr. While Nathan later fell for Elizabeth as he got to know her. So unfortunately for Lucas, Nathan became interested in Elizabeth with honerable intentions on Nathan's part. Well, Elizabeth found Lucas charming & she did go to that reading with Lucas. However, all her interactions with Nathan in S6 from going from acquaintances to then becoming friends as they got close to each other because Nathan was raising Allie & Elizabeth was her teacher. After S6 in the Christmas movie that was the first spark between Nathan & Elizabeth. S7, & S8 Elizabeth fell in love with Nathan just doing life together, but she wasn't ready to admit this & was fearful when Nathan told her he was in love with her. That's why she told him, "It would hurt to much to lose you like I lost Jack." Right there Elizabeth separated the men. She saw Nathan for Nathan not Jack. Nathan said it again, "Elizabeth, I love you." Unfortunately Elizabeth was fearful & said, "I can't." Elizabeth ran away. I thought CM played that part of his character Lucas well a mysterious man & a man with not so honorable intentions in the beginning with Elizabeth. However, I personally believe Kevin McGarry & Erin Krakow as the characters Nathan & Elizabeth have the strongest chemistry. I'm not just talking the romantic relationship, but their whole relationship. However Nathan & Elizabeth have lots of romantic chemistry & a deep love as shown in S11, episode 11 & 12. From Nathan & Elizabeth being in love with each other, but Elizabeth denied it. So, Nathan fighting with Elizabeth trying to get her to admit the truth most of S8 that she was in love with him too. Then Elizabeth saying those nasty, hurtful words which were lies & Elizabeth denying her true feelings as proven by her apology to Nathan for hurting him & saying fear got in the way, her beautiful speech, and her declaration, "Nathan, I'm in love with you." in S11, episode 11. Elizabeth was trying to get Nathan to stop persuing her because she was afraid of a relationship with him in S8. In S9 & S10, Nathan & Elizabeth ended up with a close friendship after Elizabeth rejected Nathan at the end of S8 though Nathan never stopped wanting more, but like Nathan said, "Love is the greatest gift because it can't be forced only freely given." So Nathan sadly accepted their relationship was going to be that of friendship with Elizabeth as that was better than not being with Elizabeth at all. So, Nathan did try to move on, but the casual dates with Mei & Faith never worked out because Nathan was still deeply in love with Elizabeth. Nathan still had plenty of love for Elizabeth though. He has a friendship love, a steadfast love, & an unconditional love. He could have that type of love for Elizabeth still. Nathan built a solid, strong friendship & connection + love with Elizabeth. Even though Nathan sadly wasn't able to have a romantic love with Elizabeth as Elizabeth choose a safe relationship with Lucas. Well at some point as Lucas got to know Elizabeth better, I do believe that his game he had played to win her affections was no longer a game. Lucas feelings became stronger & he did start caring for Elizabeth in S9 even love her. So, this man, Lucas may have been changed by getting to know Elizabeth. As Lucas told Jeanette in S11. "I'm not the same man anymore. I want to be a good man, an honerable man." Seriously, like I said I enjoyed watching Lucas with this mysterious past. It makes CM's character very interesting. But to me Kevin & Erin as Nathan & Elizabeth have a strong chemistry & connection. They have natural fun & playful scenes. They fight well to as lovers do sometimes like in S8. They were both in love with each other. Elizabeth just denied it being afraid of a relationship with Nathan. They look like two characters Nathan & Elizabeth in love with each other. So in S10, Elizabeth broke up with Lucas because she couldn't deny the fondness she had with Lucas was only a safe, comfortable, uncomplicated love & her safe relationship became unsafe when Lucas ran for governor. Elizabeth didn't want to move to CC. Elizabeth wanted to raise Jack Jr. in HV. Also, when Nathan came to the church/school house asking Elizabeth, "What do you want?" That was the beginning of Elizabeth starting to realize she may have buried her feelings deep, but she was still in love with Nathan. For all these reasons, Elizabeth broke up with Lucas. At the train station after Elizabeth gave her short answer that she couldn't go with Lucas & broke up with him saying she could leave HV. Lucas did ask, ,"Is that the only reason or is it something more." Lucas looked at Elizabeth's face & knew the truth then. That Elizabeth was in love with Nathan. Also, Elizabeth didn't deny it. Of course there was something more Elizabeth was completely in love with Nathan. So, then vafter S10 breakup to S11 it still took a long time with the timeline Lindsay gave us for Nathan & Elizabeth to become a romantic couple. I think in this time Elizabeth started healing & working through her fears with regards to a possible relationship with Nathan in the future, but she still was working through all her emotions. Nathan was away for 4 months. Then in the beginning once Nathan came back it was still just friends for Elizabeth & Nathan in the beginning. Though both were wanting more. No one acted on it they were friends. Also, when we saw Goldie we knew more time had passed as she was around 11 months old & walking! So, by the time Lucas came from CC to HV, 8 months had went by. So, yes at this time Nathan & Elizabeth relationship began the process of starting to transition from a solid, strong friendship & connection + love to both wanting more. Nathan finally asked Elizabeth out on a lunch date & then that got messed up because of Higgins coming to HV. They ended up with more interruptions Tom Thornton coming to town & then Allie's birth father story where Nathan had to deal with that. In S11, episode 11 finally Elizabeth told Nathan she was in love with him. By the time Elizabeth & Nathan went on there first date to the wedding together I believe it had been over a year since Elizabeth broke up with Lucas. But yes for me KM & EK's gentle, "Love Comes Softly" storyline & romance is the best & deepest love story. Though I do like CM as governor & a mysterious man with a past that caught up with him. CM did well as governor. I do look forward to Nathan & Elizabeth's love story & romance in S12, but also Lucas story creating a new life in CC. I think Henry will go work in CC with Governor Bouchard. Question is will Lee go work for Governor Bouchard in CC? If Lee accepts Lucas offer this might mean Lee, Rosemary, & Goldie all have to move to CC. My understanding is Lindsay Sturman has built a CC set. So, this could be possible. Elizabeth will be heart broken 💔 if Rosemary moves though. At least Elizabeth will have Nathan there to comfort her. So, I like Kevin McGarry & Erin Krakow's characters Nathan & Elizabeth in a romantic relationship. I like Chris McNally's character Lucas on his own for now working in CC. I do think that WCTH will give Lucas a new girlfriend eventually & they should bring in Julie Gonzalo in the future. S12 might be to soon, but for Lucas with someone new, but eventually their should be a new girlfriend for Lucas & that actress would be good as she is Chris' real life girlfriend.
Erin's interviews radiate so much warmth and authenticity. And she is so generous with her compliments for the cast. She truly is a beautiful person inside and out. And Hearties admins, you rock for bringing these interviews to us!
I love all the kids scenes! They add SO much to the show. I’m rewatching from season 1 and Jada cracks me up with her personality in earlier seasons. Such a gifted young lady.
Definitely agree that season 11 was awesome. Erin and Kevin are great actors. Love this cast!! Im addicted. Hope they keep giving us heartwarming stories. Nothing else will do.
Lovely interview with Erin! I loved season 11. The writing was excellent, even though the 'slow burn' nearly killed me (haha)! I am so glad that Lindsay is continuing as showrunner, it makes me think that season 12 will be great too. Thanks to Erin for taking the time to do this interview.
Really want to see Nathan and Elizabeth get married and grow their family! We've waited soooo long for this. I really hope it happens sooner rather than later like the Coulters!
My top wishes... 1. Nathan goes to the cemetery and talks with Jack and accepts what happened is not his fault and humbling says he would like to marry Elizabeth and be a father to L. Jack. 2. Nathan takes Elizabeth riding to a romantic spot and proposes and she says yes. 3. A wedding outdoors with the children as wedding party and Goldie as flower girl. 4. Nathan rebuilds Jack's cabin and Elizabeth is excited about it. Jack and Allie running inside to pick out their rooms! And Nathan carrying Elizabeth over the threshold!! 5. A love for Lucas in Capital City. Someone kind, beautiful and smart. First date: going to a fair in C.C., sharing cotton candy and riding the ferris wheel. Holding hands. (I checked, they were invented in the 1890's.) 6. Elizabeth and Rosemary being expected mothers together (but I understand that would be difficult, but a girl can dream right!!) 7. A nursing degree for Molly! I think she would be perfect at it and would be an exciting chapter for her. 8. Instead of a National Park. A hospital instead. It would create jobs, a big help to the town for emergencies and would leave a window for Carson to come back as a surgeon!!
@AbigailPaige-is7zr Wow, that are some great story lines to give the writers food for thought and I couldn't agree more. All of your suggestions are excellent 👌
Interesting chat, and I had forgotten about the writer's strike that was happening during S11 production that sidelined the US writers including the showrunner. It makes the finished product seem even more remarkable! I must commend Erin for her work in both S10 & S11 as her character was really challenged and we witnessed numerous scenes that were filled with emotional drama that ranged from heartbreaking to joyous. I can't wait for S12!
Erin is always so pleasant in her interviews. Love all the call backs. When Nathan and Elizabeth get married, I would love to see a winter wonderland wedding in the woods surrounded by snowy trees. I'm sure that would be freezing for you all and not practical, but it would be a call back to helping Nathan and Allie find a tree and little Jack would love this too or you could just repeat this scene but as a family. Loved everything about S11. It was so good. I would love to see Nathan propose when they hang ornaments on the tree. This time pulling something special out of the box of ornaments. I would love to see Lucas live in the fine house he wants with his new love and continue to do special things for the town like the paper lanterns. I would love to see frosting on E's nose when they eat cake.
Erin is always such a delight!! Thank you for sharing, Erin- you are amazing! A Fantastic interview-thank you All! I have loved every Season, since watching from the Beginning, but Season 11 was so incredible--love every scene, storyline, word! Season 12 can't come fast enough!
Loved Season 11, especially the growing love and depth of Elizaberh and Nathan's relationship. Really hope the cliffhanger is brief in Season 12 and doesn't raise another obstacle. Waited too long for Nathan and Elizabeth to be together.
Thank you so much for a fun interview Erin 💟 you did very well dodging some of those sneaky questions 🤗The ladies tried so hard to get a few clues for S12. I hope you get to rest now before filming starts we know you work as hard as anyone on producing a great show for us. Have a lovely rest of your day everyone 🙋🏼♀️❤
I love that Blouse in both episodes !! Ep 2 S 8 , and E 11 S11 H2H admins : Thank you for taking my question , too (Minnie Beth from Plain City, O) !! Erin , You did so well in both scenes !! I Just love all of WCTH and all you have done to display and make Elizabeth ALIVE from Janette Okes book ! I have the loved the show from beginning and have watched it live since the Pilot of S1 E 1 !
The books are soooo good! Janette Oke is my favorite! I wish they would make a series about the original characters Mountie Wynn Delaney and his wife Elizabeth. Who left her wealthy home to teach children in a poor small town and meets her Mountie , marries him and goes with him to the Northern Territories where she happily keeps home for the two of them and teaches the native Indians.
@@AbigailPaige-is7zr The reason they didn't do that is on a show you need a set. Wynn and Elizabeth traveled to his different post that he was assigned to as a lawman. So, they had to change the story. We got Jack and Elizabeth in Coal Valley/Hope Valley. Then the story got changed again in S5 killing off the mountie Jack since Dan wanted to leave. Then they had Elizabeth have Jack Jr. And the direction of the show changed direction in S6 with two single men coming to HV. A new mountie and a new saloon owner.
@@AbigailPaige-is7zrisn’t This Elizabeth the aunt of this Elizabeth from the pilot movie ! The one that Brian Bird and M Landon Jr portrayed in this first movie ? E and W are in this first movie … they could have made more about them too !!
2:45 Total of 6 weddings, counting Mike & Mei. The Mary Dunbar/DeWitt Graves wedding was actually Season 2, not 1. It was when we first met Pastor Frank. There was that con man who showed up selling bibles with his daughter, and Flo thought he was Pastor Frank, so he went with it. He was the one performing the ceremony until the real Frank showed up in the middle of it. 😊
I can’t believe how much I came to absolutely adore Elizabeth’s new haircut!!! By the end of the season it felt like it had always been her!!! Gorgeous!!
Twins for Nathan and Elizabeth would be great. That should put a big smile on Nathan's face, and if they had a boy and a girl, then neither, Allie nor Jack could complain that the boy/girl ratio was out of whack. It will be interesting to see what they do about a place to live that will hold them all with room to grow.
That would be lovely, but we know both of them would love boy or girl the same. They would have soooo much love for the little siblings that come along the way!😊
Oh I would love fraternal twins one boy & one girl for Elizabeth & Nathan 😂 But with Elizabeth being a main character the babies would be on the show alot they would have to find identical twin boys to play the baby boy & identical twin girls to play the bay girl. 😂 I just don't see that happening! 😕 It would be fun to watch. However, that would be super expensive for the show, WCTH. So, this idea while would be great & fun is not going to happen. 😂
Beverly, that would be super fun to see!! When you mentioned that, I thought of Nathan being overwhelmed because of a slumber party, but to have twins…. that would be a funny episode when Elizabeth tells him.
I do like that you are “home feel like home to me”, line but the line that sticks in my head the sharpest, because it just made me giggle is when Elizabeth says to Nathan, “you are a man who is distractingly good looking in surge or suspenders” something about that line just instantly put a smile on my face. It was really cute.
Nathan and Elizabeth just elope in S12! I don't need a wedding, but if you all do a wedding let it be a small wedding for Nathan and Elizabeth with Allie, Jack Jr, and just a few close friends.
@@nancyross3964 I personally don't need all the school kids. Allie and Jack Jr. are the only kids that I think I would care to see. Elizabeth already had her big wedding with Jack with all her school kids. We don't want another repeat wedding like Elizabeth and Jack's wedding. I could see her wanting to do things smaller this time. Also, Nathan isn't a showy man and didn't even want a birthday party. I think Nathan would want a small wedding or he would like to elope. Just my opinion on how I see the characters Elizabeth and Nathan.
I was thinking something similar. Keep it very simple. Manly just family, Bill, and the Coulters. And if they want some townspeople still keep it simple.
Erin us such a sweetheart! I’m wondering if Hargraves is responsible for Jack’s death and is now trying to ruin his character and strip him of any medals/awards he received. Thus removing himself from suspicion. Nathan, Bill, Rosemary and Elizabeth work together to put Hargraves away once and for all. All this results in a promotion for Nathan and removal of any residual guilt Nathan may be feeling about Jack’s death.
@@AbigailPaige-is7zrwow craziness. Great theories both of you. Don't forget Kevin said in an interview that Nathan's boss is governor Lucas. So, he can probably suspend or fire Hargraves while other mounties investigate him.
I think they want us to think Hargraves is the guilty one. The writers like to do that. But I am trying to think who else would benefit from Nathan's death. Any ideas????
I wonder if it's tied with Nathan's sister and Allie.... What if Hargraves was romantically involved with Nathan's sister before Dylan and is the real father, Nathan and Hargraves not knowing he's the father. Maybe that's why Dylan refused to see Allie. And maybe Hargraves blames Nathan for his sister's death. That could explain his bitterness and would be a motive for murder!
@@AbigailPaige-is7zrI thought they said that Colleen died of a natural disease though (something like cancer) maybe I just assumed? I don't remember now I would have to go back and see if Nathan said that. I don't think it has anything to do with Allie or Colleen.
In Season 12 I'd love to see Nathan and Elizabeth take the horses out for 'exercise' or just get out of Hope Valley town to see a bit of the beautiful scenery, like Elizabeth and Jack did.
I loved this interview! However, is anyone else confused about Erin's comment about Elizabeth "seeing a friend possibly get hurt and then it being a manageable amount of feeling"? I felt like that moment in S10 was her second panic attack except it propelled her toward Nathan instead of away from him this time. Just curious what others' thoughts are!
Our storytellers have been very clear that up until this season, Nathan and Elizabeth considered themselves friends. They had not sorted or articulated their feelings for one another, however suppressed those might be.
@BeverlyR-dl5ft thank you. I wonder if he was a part of Casimere Shaw's (Jeanette) rum running & mostly the shooting of Lucas. Remember, Like said that they can't even trust the Mounties? Nathan wanted to keep investigating & Hardgroove (no I will not spell his name right) knocked him down. Now all of a sudden he wants to talk to Elizabeth??
@@AbigailPaige-is7zr Yes, I don't know if you saw anything interview wise with Kevin who is the actor that plays Nathan. He said Lucas as governor is Nathan's boss. Yes, the governor can fire mounties. Just like in the U.S. a state governor can fire the state law enforcement police officers that work for the state. It's supposed to be like that for this fictional show with a governor who oversees these towns in Canada. Though the show isn't historically accurate as in the real world. Canada doesn't actually have governors. You can tell the show has a lot of U.S. writers for the show. They have some Canadian writers too so I'm surprised they weren't a little more historically accurate.

WOW! Love... what Erin said..... " Don't want to be catty... As women we should build each other up..!". 💕💕💕💕. So nice...🙌 So Wise
(I checked, they were invented in the 1890's.)
6. Elizabeth and Rosemary being expected mothers together (but I understand that would be difficult, but a girl can dream right!!)
7. A nursing degree for Molly! I think she would be perfect at it and would be an exciting chapter for her.
8. Instead of a National Park. A hospital instead. It would create jobs, a big help to the town for emergencies and would leave a window for Carson to come back as a surgeon!!
I love your #1! 😍😍😍
Yeah! I think it would be a great way for Nathan to put the past behind and move forward fresh.
Best season in a long time or maybe ever! Great job writers, producers and actors!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved Season 11, especially the growing love and depth of Elizaberh and Nathan's relationship. Really hope the cliffhanger is brief in Season 12 and doesn't raise another obstacle. Waited too long for Nathan and Elizabeth to be together.
Want to see E&N hold a baby girl in their arms together like the Coulters. 😍🥰
Outstanding season all around! Wonderful interview with Erin. She is well spoken, gives great answers with insight and a pleasure to listen to.
What a great season this has been. So excited for season 12!!! ❤
Parabéns a série é também os atores Nathan é Elizabeth juntos fantástico
I love that Blouse in both episodes !! Ep 2 S 8 , and E 11 S11
H2H admins : Thank you for taking my question , too (Minnie Beth from Plain City, O) !!
I understand why it would be difficult for Hallmark. I just love those books and Wynn and Elizabeth so much! I read it all the time.
@@AbigailPaige-is7zr I agree they were good books!
I forgot about that how funny!
I can’t believe how much I came to absolutely adore Elizabeth’s new haircut!!! By the end of the season it felt like it had always been her!!! Gorgeous!!
Right?! We can’t imagine her any other way now.
We would like to see Nathan and Elizabeth's love for each other continue in season 12. Waited a long time for this to happen,
I do like that you are “home feel like home to me”, line but the line that sticks in my head the sharpest, because it just made me giggle is when Elizabeth says to Nathan, “you are a man who is distractingly good looking in surge or suspenders” something about that line just instantly put a smile on my face. It was really cute.
QueRO muito ver o casamento também Nathan e Elizabeth juntos e família
Nathan and Elizabeth just elope in S12! I don't need a wedding, but if you all do a wedding let it be a small wedding for Nathan and Elizabeth with Allie, Jack Jr, and just a few close friends.
All the children she has taught
Season 11 has been amazing! Bravo to all and thank you!
I think they found evidence that Jack’s death was not an accident. And that Nathan was the target Jack took his place.
Lindo demais Nathan e Elizabeth juntos
I enjoyed the interview.
“A bride like no other!”
Espero Nathan e Elizabeth juntos no final Maravilha
QueRO muito ver Nathan e Elizabeth juntos casando e felizes com sua família
Best season since season one!
Linda série magnífico
Nathan é Elizabeth lindos
I call that Season 11 monologue blouse the “I can’t” blouse.
My favorite line was 'Friends don't look at friends like that'
Do we know yet when S11 will be released on dvd? Or your best guess. Thanks 😊
We do not have any idea at this point. Stay tuned!
Ok, thank you!
Sturgis, Michigan is in the South Western part of the state near the southern border and south of Kalamazoo. Hope that helps.☺️❤
I looked it up after the chat and wasn’t even close! So ASHAMED! Don’t take my Michigan card!!!! 😂😜
I love the women's cloth on the show!
Nathan é Elizabeth juntos espero
My prediction is a long lost letter from Jack to Elizabeth. Also, yes, on a romance story before a marriage.
Maybe so. I love hearing all these theories. It’s all my brain can think about. Hahaha ;) keep them coming!!
Ned & Florence
I'm here let's go! My mind wants to know if Lucas is going to fire Hardgroce (spelt on purpose)
Yes,I think Hargraves is a dirty cop! I think Lucas will fire him!
Can the governor fire a Mountie??
I must have missed that. Thanks Beverly!
