    it is really very beautiful at devil's bridge falls, once I was I for 2 days in Wales, and 2 days af only rain, so I have a bed memory of Wales, but maybe I have to consider ......

      Lol yes wales does rain a bit but in places it is also very beautiful - a lot of the water is collected in the various reservoirs that’s supply parts of England

    Interesting history of the three bridges. Wonder if there will ever be a fourth😀
    Loved that arched bridge as well.
    Good to hear that stress levels went down and you weren't accosted by any gun toting locals.

    We really like Devils Bridge but not been there in years. Went when the kids were younger when we had the caravan. Nicely filmed. We always drive past too because it always looks so busy.

      Yep we always pass as to busy but we were early in the morning and in the week … it started to get busy but I was surprised how deep the waterfalls went … think we struck lucky - thanks for watching and commenting

      Think there is a bigger overflow car park further up if you can’t get on the small one - may be a bit challenging for nonook as those steps are steep ….and no other way down I saw

    That devils bridge is a bit ugly but I guess beauty was not the top requirement as it adapted. Never been to the falls. I needed a lay down after see Jacobs ladder and would need a hip replacement if I walked up it. Nice video, where are you off to next ? 👍

    • @getawaygeese
      @getawaygeese  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching and commenting … yes the whole place was bigger than we realised and the drop to the bottom was some climb back …. We’re hoping to have a couple of short weekend breaks as ran out of holiday time before Xmas to get away …..

    That was great to see and we, like you always drive past Devil’s Bridge. Have you visited Hafod Estate which appeared on your map at the beginning? It’s only a few miles from Devil’s Bridge and there are some lovely walks with river and waterfall. The mansion was destroyed by fire, but you can walk to the ruins. It’s all free to park and enter. All the best to you both.

      @@getawaygeese Hi there, yes I did! Oh dear I got deleted! It was just to say that when you have a moment take a look at Natural Resources Wales and search for Hafod Estate, Aberystwyth. It will give you an idea of the walks. They are colour coded and you can buy a map at the car park to guide you around. We must have visited at least a dozen times over the years! Take care, Louise x

      @@louisesymonds9963 blooming YT randomly deleting …. Yes i looked on the map we actually past it as we drove home …. I saw the car park so definitely a place to visit so thanks … wonder if you can wild camp on the car park … I doubt it

      @@getawaygeese ah funny you should mention wild camping on the carpark as we’ve always wondered that. There weren’t any signs last time we visited and it would be a wonderful place to stay. We’ve never got there any earlier than 10.30 am and we often see a van or two, but don’t know if they’ve camped there. Food for thought...x
