Could you do a RetroArch tutorial for the Sega Game Gear? The "handheld-border" shader folder used in your videos also includes a Game Gear preset, so that's why I'm asking...
Are you supposed to extract the zip file prior to putting it in the mega bezel folder? seems like it just stopped abruptly at 98 percent on processing when extracted
How do you get rid of the square on the touch screen? it follows the mouse and I wanna remove it
You're content is great. Keep it up. Unfortunately, I had no luck with Melon. It lagged to the point of total unplayability. I have fairly high end machine and can use the desume core at 10x resolution without lag. I'm using Vulkan, no shaders, etc. Maybe Melon needs some setting switched that I'm unaware of?
Thanks! I appreciate that greatly! From what I've read, what you describe is fairly common. A lot of reports online of some getting better performance with DeSmuME, while others MelonDS. Not sure why that is, but they are both fantastic emus in my opinion.
Hi friend, I'm from Brazil, I downloaded the current version 16.0 on my mibox TV to play retroarch, and it was at 15.0, the only problem was the delay in fighting games with both controls, I changed it thinking it would improve, but it got worse and the FPS dropped to games in general I managed to revert to neo geo and pcengine lowering audio latency but N64 Jaguar is having terrible audio, I don't know how to increase it to run smoothly, help me?

I was wondering if you might be able to help me out with a touchscreen issue I'm running into in Retroarch (MelondDS core on PC)
I've been trying to work out how to emulate Nintendo DS games while using only controller. The problem is I can't seem to tap or touch the touchscreen at all.
Under Quick Menu>Core Options>Screen I have Cursor Mode set to Always, and Touch Mode set to Joystick.
And then under Quick Menu>Controls>Port 1 Controls I've left everything set to auto, but to be clear R3 is set to Touch Joystick, and the Right Analog is set to Touch Joystick movement.
I can move the "stylus" around no issue, it's just actually tapping on the screen that's the issue. I've also tried setting the Touch Joystick to another button with no success, and tried different controllers on the off chance my initial one was acting up.
Any help at all would be really appreciate, thanks!

Regarding your prob with the touchscreen controls... that's an odd one. I have my controller set up the exact same way with no issues. Have you tried updating both the MelonDS core and RetroArch itself? I often find that weird little bugs like these go away after an update.

I finally got it sorted! Turns out there are two versions of Melon DS in the Core downloader? Not sure what the difference is, but the one I didn't have originally ended up working!
I also updated like you mentioned and turns out I was also a little behind the current RetroArch, so I'm glad to be up to date. Thank you so much again :)

Hm, this doesn't seem to work (fit) inside the steam deck. Which is a real shame.
oh its F1>quick menu>input>pointer type> set this to touchscreen.
do this so u can click ur mouse on the screen instead of having that emulated crosshair. then just change the windows mouse to anything that u can see better. for say elite beat agents etc.

Hey man, currently having problems with the touch for ds, I’m on a Chromebook but using melonDS I set my analog stick to the joystick and it worked, but then I ran into the issue with it not letting me use it, I could move it around just not use it
Edit: just figured it out bro, I feel slow just had to mash my buttons I guess😭😭
How can I change the color of the touch screen control? It would be a moving cross and when I find myself in the white areas it becomes almost invisible

I wish android versions of emulators had these options
retroarch on steamdeck melonds core resolution upscaled, choose bottom screen only in options and bind swap screens to one of the back buttons. You now have mario 64 HD on your steamdeck

Man I'm really enjoying the overall DS overlay, but I dislike the LCD Grid part of the shader. I wish there was an option without it :(

I have a vertical game that is played when you rotated the DS. How do I fix the screen orientation? I've tried core settings, but it seems stuck sideways.

There are several menu designs. Go to "User Interface" and then find the "Menu" option. Pick one and then you have to restart retroarch for the menu design to change
Any tips on cheats for the ds? None of them seem to be working
