Well this was a long time coming! Thanks for all the support on the previous part of DOOM Eternal The Ancients Gods Part 1 as well. No his War is Eternal
He’s not dead. He collapsed and passed out because his mission was completed. He defeated hell and avenged his loved ones. So when he killed the dark lord he later collapsed because he finally did it and there was no reason to keep moving. After so long he can finally rest knowing that he saved earth, and avenged his wife, Son, and Daisy.
He may sleep until the next demon invasion comes
@@BigDilGamer yeah but to be fair they can’t invade anymore. By killing Devoth all demons outside the dimension were destroyed so they’re all stuck in their dimension now. Without the Dark Lord they can’t leave hell anymore to expand their dimension.

@@titanrex0513 how though he’s lying in a place that is very hard to get to, that’s not affected by hell, and in order to get there you have to go thru a very dangerous trial to gain passage.

Lore wise he's not dead, just knocked out since the thing used to bless him contained a piece of the guy he just killed. And a little off topic, but the Slayer is a surprisingly handsome fellow, in all honesty. Though Doomguy (or more respectfully, Mr. Taggart) probably deserves that rest after all he's been through lmao

Your persistence is commendable.... Thanks for sharing your experience with this final Dark Lord fight, which let me see I’m not the only person who struggled a bit with this. Although I didn’t die quite as much, dozens of times I had his health bar down to a quarter, within striking distance of finishing the health bar off, only to have him get his health back up, and so it went on in a tedious stalemate for way too long. My left hand was going numb from trying to dash away from his shield attacks, which are really hard to dodge. This was extremely tedious and repetitive. At least each of the health bars is like a checkpoint, once finished the progress is saved. But I far prefer the boss fights of Final Sin and TAG1, they are far more enjoyable imho.This one was just repetitive, tedious, and for someone like me, who will never beat this game on Ultranightmare, even at the lower difficulties, this final boss fight was way too frustrating. While the first three levels of TAG2 were enjoyable, challenging at times, but enjoyable.... this fight was just painfully long for me. Cheers to you for sticking it out through all those deaths, while keeping a smile, after all, it’s just a game...
It is just a game. I did find the health increases kinda annoying but once I began learning his move patterns it became easier. Yea Ultra Nightmare I don’t know if I could pull off at all in DOOM Eternal. Let alone this DLC. Glad you enjoyed the video mate

because the maykers lied to doomguy when saying it was their gods energy that powered him when it was the dark lords energy so no there is just a human in that coffin without his powers. Form what I can understand, they want to awake him once more when needed. It's a good way of progressing forward and "nerfing" the character. Kinda like in god of war where you always started as a powered up kratos fighting some boss then losing your powers so progressing feels more natural.
Yea I read the lore page about the Maykrs machine and how the Father took a fragment of Davoth's power to create the Maykr machine. I'm sure the DOOM Slayer will be back again but with a different story or even a prequel perhaps. Either way I'm looking forward to it. Also, nice Kratos reference. Reminds me I need to play God of War on PS5 to test out Performance mode
@@BigDilGamer not too crazy about the new god of war. Perhaps better performance might help but the game is drastically slower.
It's not gonna be for everyone. The story just really drew me in when I played

Jeez what difficulty is this? I swear I beat the Dark Lord without dying once (not bragging either because I SUCK at Doom Eternal), I thought they nerfed the game badly so it made for a disappointing last boss for me as opposed to TAG1 but I did love the ending.

It's hardly even a matter of difficulty, there are so many opportunities to heal during the fight but he doesn't take any of them. Look at him! he ONLY uses the super shotgun, he never even switches off of it! I have no clue how he even made it to this point in the game if this is any indication of how the rest of the playthrough went. He's just...not very good.
@@giantmidget4867 I just played the game how I played it. I used the shotgun because I thought it was the most effective. If you felt that it I could have done better than feel free to enlighten me so I can improve on future playthroughs

I had a few ideas but pretty much all of them had some kind of spoiler in them. Hard to avoid when I’m reacting to the ending of the game

I fought that garbage boss on nightmare for litterally hours, he's not a fun boss to fight and it's tedious this is by far the worst boss I have ever fought by worst I mean it's a garbage boss that I don't recommend even fighting, he's trash. I wish they would edit the way you have to fight this boss.
In what way would you edit the boss fight? Just curious
