Today's video we will be covering a mock driving test in Finglas. In this mock driving test video, I will be pretending to be a driving tester in Ireland and I will be testing Sarah. Sarah works for Irish Independent and she will be asking me questions about common reasons why people fail their driving test in Ireland. Disclaimer-I am not a driving tester and I am a retired driving instructor.

Sarah started her mock driving test in Finglas in a really awkward parking spot. For your driving test in Finglas, I would not recommend parking in this position in the Jamestown, Finglas test centre. Also, the very first T junction Sarah came to in the Finglas test centre is a stop line. Be sure to do a complete stop at this line. You could fail your driving test in Ireland for not stopping at a stop line.
The very first left turn Sarah took could be considered a failed driving test in Finglas for position turning left. This left turn is notorious at Finglas test centre and many driving test applicants fail their driving test in Finglas for this turn.

There was a lot of mistakes in this mock driving test in Finglas. There was a lot of stop lines we didn't fully stop at. Failure to stop at a stop line would result in a failed driving test in Ireland.
Sarah possibly would of picked up a grade 2 fault for position on roundabouts. As she entered the roundabout she came straight onto the middle of the roundabout and then done a big steer to the left to drive around the outside of the roundabout. This would be really unexpected by other road users and maybe would result in a grade 2 in her mock driving test.
Sarah also would of picked up a grade 2 for position turning right. There was 1 scenario we we steered too early and cut the corner. I will leave a video below to explain how to turn right correctly in your driving test

In all, this mock driving test in Dublin was ok. Sarah would need a little bit of work to correct her mistakes but all is very easy to fix. I hope she passes her next driving test.
