    Great tip in this video about putting macadamia nuts in the bottom of the blender with drier nuts on top when making nut butter from low-fat nuts.

    Thanks for this review! Are the gears and the blade assembly cogs plastic or metal? I've broken so many plastic gears on blenders.

    Thoughts on vacuum blender increasing risk of plastic contamination in smoothie? Is Tritan copolyester BPA free the gold standard of plastic blenders?

      @discountjuicers  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I haven't heard of that. Generally good blender companies use Tritan. That being said many blenders are made in China with the least expensive materials, and may still contain BPA in my opinion.

    Soooo ... on the full size vacuum blenders, which do you prefer, the upgraded Tribest or the Kuvings?

      It changes. At present time Im using the Improved Tribest Dynapro with automatic vacuum pump and improved carafe.

    John, will you have a blend off between kuvings and tribest?

      Yes, as soon as I get the Kuvings Vacuum Blender back. Mine broke, and I sent it in for replacement.

    Why wouldn't it replace the DynaPro for people not needing a commercial vacuum blender? I don't see a big difference between the two (besides the 118-degree indicator on the DynaPro), and this blender is $200+ cheaper. This blender seems to have everything the DynaPro has. I'm curious why you believe that the DynaPro is superior for non-commercial (i.e., household) use, John. Thank you for all your hard work to bring us better raw foods education!

      I depend on my blender everyday, sometimes multiple times a day. This is clearly a "light duty" unit, as it is recommended to only blend for 30 seconds max at a time, before having a 30 second cool-down time. This is printed in the instruction book. While I did run this blender 60-90 seconds for some of the recipes in this video, I do say the motor base is warm. There is no such warning on the Dynapro. So for quick and easy smoothies (light duty) this would probably be great. That being said, I make thicker salad dressings, blend mature coconut meat and water and many other tasks that will take significantly longer then 30 seconds to process.
