May I ask, is there a way to use Take Recorder to record mouse movement as an FBX animation? For example, can I bring a "Cube" into a level. Then move the Cube with my left mouse drag and record the Cube's movement as an FBX animation?
Yes that will work! With a cinematic camera Actor for example, you could record all the movement you're doing. For virtual cam, you have the app "VCAM". I highly recommend it ! 🎥😀
"Don't forget Unreal is a game engine." So true! For a long time I just created linear animations. And, because of all those complicated game engine features I did not needed, I thought more than once I would be better off just sticking with Blender. But this talk from Blur Studio at Unreal Fest: th-cam.com/video/AAAhD5tEUBs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MTvtPH3187XHq4Qc and also this one and other tutorials from you push me further into using game logic / Blueprints for my animations.
Glad to read that! Indeed, going deeper into the techy gaming aspects in Unreal is a real plus! That's why Unreal is really powerful compared to traditional DCC. Blur Studio's talk was a blast, lots of great infos! 🙌 Thanks for your feedback 😊
8:13 When I right-click on the "New Anim to Play" . I can't promote it to a variable, it's button is gray. I'm using UE 5.3
How can I record the special effects? I used the same method, but it doesn't record the effects in Niagara ..

Never tried but I think you should be able to do it! Like you can record physics animation of an actor. 🙌
anyways thanks for this video I liked ur explanation. looking frwd for more content
Thanks for your comment mate! Glad you liked it 😊🙌
Hi, its very cool. What about if i need damage enemy NPC ? I need add npc to recorder like that player pawn ?
Yes, you can add any Actors in Take Recorder, and it will record in-Game almost everything that's happening there!
I am assuming this works if you just did a camera moving around an environment? Is that what virtual cam would be?
