To the people who disliked this video - I'd REALLY like to know why you disliked it. Is it because of the Hoover or because of something I did within the video? The reason I ask is if it's the latter, then please let me know what you'd like me to do differently so I can improve my content. Thanks very much :) xx
Looks like euro hoovers were having the same problems and failures in the 2000s like our American hoovers did in the early to mid 2000s. The ones reminds me of the Z400/700 and the Windtunnel 2s with they're share of problems.
Can Any Of Them Dethrone The REAL Difficult, REAL Disastrous, REAL Deplorable, REAL Worst Vacuum In The World, America's Most Hated Vacuum (OH MY GOD), The Bissell PowerForce Helix model no.s 1700/2191/3313?!
Those are decent machines for the price, they are a downgrade from the previous models in terms of build quality, but they more than make up for that in terms of filtration, still not great, but still much better.
Where do you start with this machine! I have a copy of the Which? Report for the original 2004 cleaner and it gets the worst rating they have ever given to a vacuum cleaner. One of my local retailers sold these and every single one they sold was returned!
I saw a hoover whirlwind wr01 in curry’s. They said the motor was made by hoover. I don’t believe them though cuz I’m pretty sure they use a third party company to supply the motors.
@@TheVintageApplianceEmporium Hmm 🤔. Um 😐 Um 😐 Well I really wasn’t thinking on those lines but now that you’ve brought the subject up I could see the both you and the vac be enjoyably loud. Lol 😂 If someone is doing it right let them know.
I can't believe the noise this thing makes! Looked like it picks up well enough at least. To think that this....thing was hoover's answer to the dc14 is really astonishing. I suppose the handle is a bit easier to release though, I'll give it that.
Great video , what a piece of crap that is (breaks for a hobby lol) The whistle when you vacuum that would do my tree in . I think i would have binned it rather than struggle to change the belt lol
I have a hoover performer and zoom, not branded the one but they are clearly the one in every way.and they’re both broken !only just got them lucky me lol
I can't beileve you, of all people, who knows everything about vacuum cleaners managed to get through the whole video without mentioning the overheating! I thought you were going to mention it when you started talking about the hepa filter popping out but you never did. These machines were famous for shutting off 15 minutes into use because of the motor overheating. I was unfortunate enough to buy one of these machines when they were new, mine was the original 'The one' with the red and white which I thought was a nice colour scheme. I always thought it was strange how the cable was white as you dont see that on modern cleaners and it always took me back to the days of the old Hoover uprights. But no I remember using this and just getting used to it cutting out, I would do one room then it would stop so I would leave it plugged in and switched on and go and do something else, then I would hear it restart and go back and carry on vacuuming 😂😂😂 It did this whenever it was used for over 15 minutes, 20 minutes tops. I took it to the tip in the end but now there so rare I wish I hadnt. Everyone I knew who had one said it would cut out after 15 minutes with theres too so I knew it wasnt just mine. I remember at the time both vac shops and owners were going into these and bypassing the safety cut out switch on the motor to stop them cutting out when they over heated. It worked but looking back I suppose its quite dangerous actually.
It’s sad the depths Hoover floor care has stooped to for a once prestigious name . Greedy unions closed Perivale and it’s been a downward slide since with greedy middle management creaming off the company for years .it really went pear shaped in the 90s I think . The washing machines are better now however than they were 20 years ago
I believe that I recall IBASIAC doing an unboxing and demo of one of these years ago...Used to watch his channel religiously but he never responded to my comments [which were always complimentary]...Sigh🙄
It's certainly an interesting cleaner and I can see what you mean about the design flaws and changing the belt would drive me mad. I don't like the sound of it in use though. There seems to be a horrible resonating frequency when using it. It's almost as though the vibrations from the brush roll are causing the plastic to vibrate and create a horrible noise. I certainly wouldn't be able to use it for any length of time if it did that every time the cleaner was used.
I remember so clearly they hype around the original “The One”. And the marketing around the time really did make them look brilliant. Alas, they were horrid. I found this on Google - says it all really www.shutterstock.com/editorial/image-editorial/currys-customer-services-manager-helen-finney-22-with-hoover-vacuum-cleaner-the-one-designed-as-a-rival-to-the-dyson-the-new-bagless-upright-from-hoover-is-immodestly-call-the-one-but-looks-can-be-deceptive-its-actually-one-of-the-worst-2177863a

Nothing wrong with it buddy
It’s just idiots being childish or petty
Almost any vacuum that you can buy in the store in 2020 creaks.
Even makes an ugly noise. Reminds me of a headless robot from futurama.

you mean the wind tunnel v2?
Those too but im talking about the original 2006 windtunnel 2s
I know what you mean
We should have a contest to find the true worst vacuum ever.

Lol that's hilarious! I need to track down the Which? review
I’d love one of those machines
better cyclone than on the hoover twin chamber
wow sounds like a dyson with a bench grinder!
seems pretty powerful
Great suction / airflow, whilst the filters remain unblocked that is. Which doesn't last for long

Definitely a screamer from the sound on this end.
Me or the Hoover? ;)

Amazing isn't it? The DC14 was a brilliant vacuum cleaner and then Hoover came out with this! Eurgh
I know it’s a stupid design but I’d love one of those been looking for years 😂
I’ve searched eBay etc and can’t even find a second hand one for sale they must be that rubbish!
They are!

Rare machines. You should keep them!

It's very sad. The Turbopower 2 was the last decent Hoover upright, everything after that was pretty rubbish
@@TheVintageApplianceEmporium The last good Hoover vacuum in the US was the Hoover WindTunnel self-propelled. That was before TTI bought Hoover.

Agree, it's definitely something to do with the brushroll

Wow that's a great find! Nice one!
The G2 has a brushroll on off. The G1 just had a squeegee. So this is actually better 😂😂
Sorry just got to that part in the video 😂
I didn't know that. Been an awfully long time since I saw the original The One
