    i love the spur-of-the-moment feels of intuitive painting. It frees the mind of any cares and allows you to experiment with whatever. I love watching people do it. But for some reason, I'm scared to try it myself.

      It's hard because I can do it intuitively but I can't pull it all together at the end so I'm good at the crazy teenager stage as Flora would say but I'm not good at pulling it together although I don't have 28 years experience that she does plus a ba in Fine Arts

Still I love this one! What a great way to loosen up and just be crazy creative! Using the two canvases and alternating between cool and warm must really taking the mind away from linear thinking! The canvas hanging in the background has many layers and started as one painting and then took a big uturn! :-) I don't have a tutorial on it because it was experimental for me. Betty Krause I am somewhat new to this and want to learn more. I started painting recently when I started taking care of my mother who was diagnosed with dementia... I love your technique! can you tell me what kind of paint you are using when you spray with the water and also in the small water bottle for the letters? When I tried it the paint would not run and when I used the water bottle it became clogged!

    • @BettyFranksArt
      @BettyFranksArt  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Nory, I'm sorry to hear that about your mom. My mom also has dementia. It's not easy. I am using fluid acrylics from Golden and Liquitex in this video. I add lots of paint so that when I spray it with a water bottle, it will run and the color will still be there. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

    • @MicheleEngel
      @MicheleEngel 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      NG0915 - I think the problem you're having with the small spray bottle is because of too much paint. Be sure to use quite a bit more water than paint--you don't need much paint in the spray bottle, especially because you're using fluid acrylic black paint. You just have to experiment a bit to find the right ratio of water to paint.
      You can also use Golden "high flow" paint (it's more like airbrush paint, which can be sprayed through atomizers and other tools without adding any water). And there are a variety of brands of acrylic airbrush paint brands you could use instead.
      You could also use Marabu spray paints because they are acrylic paints and will be permanent on your canvas when dry, and they come in spray bottles and many different colors--again, no need to add water. (Be careful not to choose dye-based sprays, though, because they will not be permanent when dry--stick to acrylic paint.)
