  • Offered for sale is this very attractive example of the practical and luxurious ES sedan from Lexus, a 2005 ES330 in a beautiful color combination and with only 19K original miles. From front to back, this sedan is in as-new condition, and runs and drives exceptionally well. The original paint is gleaming, and the leather inside is soft to the touch and in perfect cosmetic condition. This estate car has been well maintained since new, garage kept, and is ready for daily driving. This immaculate car has been freshly serviced and inspected by our workshop, and is covered under a nationwide drivetrain warranty.

I completely agree with you saying that Lexus is boring compared to MB. Every time I start my Lexus, it is the same old thing. Fires right up and gets me where I'm going comfortably. How boring. Those Mercedes are so awesome. That exquisite, nervous feeling every time getting in. The smell of that German leather. That wondering if it will start and how much it will cost to fix when it doesn't. Exquisite.

Last April I sold My 2013 ES 350 after owning that for two years and bought a one owner 2002 ES 300 w. 161,000 miles. 4 new struts installed, replace the original alternator in air condition compressor, now the car rides again just came off the showroom floor. Certainly the best car I’ve ever owned fit and finish is unparalleled not a creek or rattle. Tight. Original owner serviced it at a local Lexus dealership since day one. Timing belt, water pump, and valve cover gasket replaced at 88,000 miles according to the Lexus owners website. I’ll be keeping this one for many many years. It’s quiet yes it could be boring but it’s super super reliable. When I retire in five years I’ll be buying a sports GT car a Lexus RC 350 FSport or a RCF. I’ll have the best of both worlds

@@diablocls55 to me I didn’t downgrade. The 4th Gen ES 2002-06 has the best build quality made in Japan model years. Now 20 years old and not one creak or rattle anywhere. Every button/switch still works. This week I’ll own it for one year and the car still amazes me on how much build quality there is especially the sound insulation. It’s so quiet anyone would think it’s an electric car.

When I first bought my ES300, there were a few times where I either shifted the transmission or cranked the engine because either A: I didn't turn it on or B: I didn't know it was on because the cabin was so quiet. I learned to love the quiet cabin eventually as when I sit in a non-luxurious car, the cabin is crazy loud by comparison.

When I was a Lexus salesman my friend was a sales manager at Toyota. He said the ES was just a Camry with Lexus badges. We started to debate it when he said if you can prove it is worth the $5000 plus difference, I will buy you lunch at, (expensive restaurant) So I brought him the Lexus, two page, list of upgrades and he was shocked. As he looked at it, he said, "This looks like more like $9000 worth of upgrades!", and we went to lunch on him.

@Jonathan McCully I used to own an '04 XLE V6 many moons back. Several years later, I was in the market for another car and bought an '02 ES300 this year. While the mechanical aspects of the vehicle are mostly just "Camry parts inside a Lexus," the interior of the Lexus is noticeably of higher quality than the Camry I owned (ex: the leather is real leather, the wood finish is real wood, the cabin is much quieter, the sound system is much better, etc.). Having owned an XLE V6, I thought I had the best of the best. Still love Toyota's, but my goodness, I love my Lexus!

The big initial pricetag truly shows it's worth in mechanical savings, buying one used is a no brainier. If you want something sporty, go for the 2013+ ES. Last April I sold my 2013 ES 350 after owning it for two trouble free years (not one issue) and bought a one owner 2002 ES 300 with 161,000 miles. Serviced at a local Lexus dealership from day one, water pump, timing belt and valve cover gasket all replaced at 88,000 miles according to Lexus owners website. Last summer I replaced all four struts because the rear ones were leaking, original alternator and original AC compressor (it was squealing). The car rides like it just came off the showroom floor these cars are all built like a tank solid quiet not a creek or rattle. There is a 2002 ES300 on TH-cam posted about two years ago with 590,000 highway miles with the original engine and transmission.

I did all of the service to get it up to date not that it was way past due or anything but I have heard a lot of owners who have the same year es complain about shift surging or shift shock when it shifts occasionally. I have noticed it a very small amount with my car and am wondering if anyone else have ever noticed this same problem. I’m sure it’s a thing but my es is very clean and is soooo smooth. 03 v6 camry 330k miles, same platform as es300. Reliable for sure but at 22yrs 330,000 miles i am impressed that when i shut the door it is smooth quiet and tight little thump. Still very low noise at 80mph.on hwy. No squeaks or rattles. That is quality. 22yrs 330,000 miles and still feels and sounds new. No broken handles knobs or other little things. 100% of items function as new. I do not baby it or drive or treat it bad just basic life of a car. Friends with luxury cars at 100k and 5 to 7 yrs cannot say the same. My bufdy with benz was impressed.with how it held up, i let him drive it, he went and bought used camry and sold his benz. Nuff said

One of the most reliable cars on the road next to the Camry. Your right about it being dangerous though. Drive this car for my then an hour down the highway and it will make you really sleepy. It’s such a comfortable car but just make sure you have a cup of coffee in the cup holder of you plan on driving it for my then 30 minutes 😂

I don’t think this guy is capable of being happy or of not complaining. In the 1930s, the whole goal of the Cadillac v16 was that you couldn’t tell if the engine was on or off.
I for one don’t want a brand new Escalade where the 407 hp engine is screaming at you, and you can feel every toothpick and piece of dental floss you accidentally drive over.
