I just bought an ES330 with 180,000 miles for $5600 (yes I know it’s high but used car prices have doubled unfortunately) It looks and drives like a new car. I actually can’t understand how that is even possible. It has no rust, the engine is spotless, you can’t hear it running. Dead silent inside, awesome sound system if you add an fm transmitter for your phone which we did. It’s just a beautiful, comfortable and simple car. I never even thought of buying a Lexus but when it came up for sale it looked so good in the pictures I had to go test drive it. After that I had to buy it, even with those miles. Other than those miles I feel like I bought a new car for $5600, incredible.

Stick with the Toyota-model-based Lexus cars because they use pretty much the same engine / suspension parts as a Toyota. This model uses Camry parts. If you buy a model that is strictly Lexus, the parts are going to cost a fortune in comparison. Also with a model like this ES, any mechanic who can do brakes or engine work or suspension on a Camry can do this one. This is more than just a Camry but many of the mechanicals are the same, and that's not a bad thing at all. And this is a car that can easily do 300,000 miles on the original driveline etc. so long as you maintain it. I own a 2005, bought it in 2014 for $8000, and could get most of that money back if I sold it now.
Luckily my car displays info such as mileage left before empty, average mpg, etc. according to my car I get 19.9 mpg on average and I drive a mix of streets and highway. My car is now at 120,258 miles.
I have the 2005 Toyota Camry SE V6. Owned it since new and its just the best car ever made. Its powerful, quiet and smooth. Much the same as the Lexus in this review. Toyota builds the best cars in the world.
I need a 2nd opinion. Is this car, 2005 with navigation, ML audio with 222k miles, 1 owner, Lexus dealer maintained worth 4900$. (Timing belt & water pump replaced at 180k). White ext, tan interior
If after 20 years they work, I find no objection... In fact, if everything works after 20 years, you must be driving a Toyota/ Lexus. Yes they age but like good wine, slowly. Just service them with new fluids when the book instructs. This is the key to buying any vehicle, Service history !
The Toyota celiac of that year is just a coupe version of the Corolla of that year , in which is it reliable? Yes but I believe it’s less expensive to maintain.
Just bought this Lexus at 193k for $2450. Negligible amount of rust underneath since it was from the South. Only needs rotors, timing belt, and valve cover gaskets replaced before it's street legal. Incredible value.

Just bought a 2003 es 300 with 35k miles, the thing is going to outlast me. Lol
wow what a find! how much you pay?
@@DannyWohl 6,000 dollars. :)
That low mileage is impressive. Congratulations.
Hopefully the Lexus I buy last me 100k Miles at around 150k miles when I buy it! Wish i could find a manual :(
How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking
The 5 & 7 Spd.Autos in the Es' s are Excellent Trans.my 04 Es330Was still Doing fine @ 167,000mls,When another driver hit me & totaled my car.just chge.the Trans.fluid every 50-60,000 mls.
Proud Lexus owner here! and I can say that nothing beats the quality build and long term performance of my 2005 ES330!!! Amazing
2007 es350 228k miles, transmission sometimes shoots high rpm when cold engine
Just bought a 2005 es330 for 4600 with 73k original miles. It’s insanely comfortable and drives like I’m flying thru the clouds 😂 like the jetsons.
I bought my 2005 Lexus ES330 at 93,000 miles. It’s at 114,500 now but I’m hoping to get 300,000 out of mine
What is your MPG?
Would this make a good first car?
Absolutely! It’s my brothers first car
Everything is great but the front cupholders
If after 20 years they work, I find no objection... In fact, if everything works after 20 years, you must be driving a Toyota/ Lexus. Yes they age but like good wine, slowly. Just service them with new fluids when the book instructs. This is the key to buying any vehicle, Service history !
One thing disappointed is that no aux on that. Maybe someone can recommend the solution, because really need to listen my music from the phone
My brother complains about that all the time but the car came out in 2002 or something so it wasn’t even a spec on the radar.
BT45-TOY on Amazon. I have that in my GS330.
Get a cassette adapter. Walmart. $5 or $6.
I know old comment but we bought an fm transmitter for $20 and it works perfectly
So what you're saying is that it's really a nice car. 😁
2004 es330 195k miles $2800 is that a fair price? Another question were this model & year made in Japan??
That’s a good bargain, better have a mechanic look it over or watch a Scotty Kilmer video!
I have a 09 es 200k miles, still smooth as butta
Is this more reliable than a 2001 Toyota celica?
The Toyota celiac of that year is just a coupe version of the Corolla of that year , in which is it reliable? Yes but I believe it’s less expensive to maintain.
Yes because you have Toyota reliability with Lexus’ extra quality. But the Celica would be cheaper.
@@luxurreview thank you. I bought one for 3000 160k miles. How long you think it’s gonna last more. It’s in great condition.
@@SaadAhmed-qu9wm how is the car so far? I’m about to look at an 04 for $3.7k w/ 150k miles
@@asbodo32 I sold it. I had to put alot money in it. Not worth 3.7k. Buy it for 2.5k
Just bought this Lexus at 193k for $2450. Negligible amount of rust underneath since it was from the South. Only needs rotors, timing belt, and valve cover gaskets replaced before it's street legal. Incredible value.
Is yours still running? How many miles you got on it?
@@tanzimmiah2357 Yep still running after two years and 11k miles later. I had to replace the original altenator because it died on me last summer, but I still made it home. The only thing that worries me is the transmission shifting weird at 30mph so I try not to beat on it. It hasn't got worse since I bought it so fingers crossed it'll last me a few more good years.
Timing service can be challenging, i want a es350 is timing chain ⛓️
How much would you guys pay or ask to pay for a 2005 Lexus ES 330 FWD w/ 23k miles. That's not a typo, it only has 23K miles!! Super clean. I believe they have it listed for $14k?
14k is reasonable….just purchased an 03 with 18,500 miles for 10k…needed timing belt, fluids , brakes tires etc
Kaiza Japan quality.Came off a boat & best quality vehicles in Japan came out in this era.
Someone has one in my area for 3500 with only 126k miles I'm thinking of getting it ...same color and eveyrhing
Worth ut
that is a good deal they’re really reliable I got 2 of them Rx350 and es330 they both have a high mileage but run like a new car good on gas
@@mightypawa hey brother i just bought the same car es330 2016 with 96000 miles. Have u had any major issues with this car ?
Looking at a 2006 ES330 to buy for $5,000 with 246,000 miles. Should I or should I not go for it?
Try to get it at a lower price and make sure it’s loaded (or close to it).
Hey, is this specific car in the video for sale?
Nope
Is it louder than a corolla for road noise?
I haven’t been in a Corolla but I would imagine the Corolla is worse
Thinking of buying 2004 with 63k miles w/ rebuilt title at $5500 is it worth that much
no lmao
@@myhkeith Ok
Why is it a rebuilt title?
These puppies were made in Japan. The ES now is made in the US. Good luck with that
what he says at 10:36 - 10:44 about loving extra wood and his genny not satifying his craving for wood lmfaooooo i dont think any car is gonna do that for you buddy, maybe that place in colorado can help you out Q
Why are you wearing headphones like the baby driver :3
Bentley and Rolls Royce both $$$$$ pits.
Your accent 👍
Mercedes Are really good car
It is a Toyota...😅😂
Just bought one for $6,000
As a buyer I hate Lexus resale value, as on owner I love it 😆
I wouldn't touch a car with that milage.
Don't care what it is....
