F-22 Vs. F-35 Dogfight: Who would win?!?

  • The F-22 Raptor is the stealthiest fighter ever to fly and it comes to the fight with true hot rod performance thanks to a pair of afterburning turbofan engines that pump out a combined 70,000 pounds of thrust under afterburner.
But what the F-35 lacks in raw power, it makes up for with superior technology, including Infrared Search and Track capabilities.
    So who wins this fight?

Raptor has smaller RCS and larger longer range radar, and it's munitions likely have a bit higher PK due to kinematic advantage/ launch parameters. The only grey zone is the DAS range vs raptor IR sig reduction and whether or not it can que BVR/fox3s for the f35 if not it's f22 all day if it can it's a toss up (though f22 has its own DAS now/soon™) at range. @@iliafrumkin5964 the f35 turns the old emt concept on its head though, because it can engage targets pretty much in a 360 degree sphere instead of a 90 degree cone. It becomes more a question of missile range and cep chance rather than locking.
Also, just because you're wvr doesn't mean you can actually see your opponent. The f35s passive sensors and helmet ensures that at wvr engagement windows the f35 will always know exactly where the f22 is, even if the pilot loses sight of him.
I'm not saying the f35 wins every time, but these matches would be far closer than people would expect using 1970s era theory. Just like jets and radar upturned the conventional wisdom of ww2 era piston fighters.

F-35 has over 890+ units, F-22 only about a 190 units, roughly 150 are most likely available for flight with personnel with the training to fly it. Most of them are most likely highly trained officers with the longest experience and security clearance. In other words, it's like the spartans of the airforce.
The F-22 can carry 6 AMRAAMs and 2 heaters internally without disrupting stealth capabilities. F-35 can carry 4 AMRAAMs internally without losing stealth but no fox-2s unless external stations are added.
F-22s can have roughly 1400-1600nm fuel range but require a dedicated airfield with security and the equipment for the plane to deploy.
F-35s especially on the B and C variants are capable of being deployed on carriers. Fuel range of 1200-1300nm. Essentially unlimited range.
F-22s are older, but highly premium. F-35s are newer with efficiency tech and lower price tag.
It's like comparing a Charger Dodge demon vs a Lambo Countach.
I will say that if we were to compare which would win, 1 v 1 = F-22 wins. Whole Team fight = F-35 wins. Pilot skill VS = F-22 pilots win. Long fight = F-35 wins.
There's just more to offer on the F-35 atm. More equipment, more bases and carriers that are able to help F-35s. More pilots, Maintenace guys who work and train with F-35s and less needed security than the F-22, plus it can be on a boat.
Information wise, F-22s would lose, since you just need one guy with a radio and sitting and watching the enemy airbase, you can count how many F-22s were deployed and relay in how many F-35s to deploy to counter the strike force or in reverse.
