That was the saddest part in the whole story. Having one of the more evil versions been given a happy ending and actually kind of turning good until another evil incarnation comes along, taking it all away by manipulating him into scaring off the only woman he probably ever loved.
Beevers thanks to Big Finish is probably my favourite Master and this bit actually made me really sad. He was genuinely happy, for one moment in his tortured and extremely painful existence he was content and at peace. To hear this normally very sinister and ruthless incarnation sound so vulnerable is an underrated moment.
The thing is these two are the same Incarnation these are both the 13th master but they're incredibly different because the crispy Master is in the charred original 13th Master body while the TV movie Master is in the body of Bruce and like normal regeneration different brain chemicals
This is so much better when you realise this is literally the same person. there was no regeneration between these incarnations meaning its one guy pissing on himself even more so than the regular master interactions
The master as the crispy Master possessing Tremors and possessing Bruce all act different enough that their possessions probably count as semi-regenerations same Incarnation different personality
True but jumping into another body will change you, that's sort of what regeneration is anyway, I've always felt that's why The Doctor and other timelords can be the same person yet so different. Plus this Master changed bodies twice plus he was even executed, went through the time vortex, mutated into a snake like creature and then possessed a new body. So, though technically the same Master he's substantially changed.
Gotta say Roberts is really coming into his own with Big Finish. I wasn’t too keen on him in the movie, but it’s like he gets it now, making charm his primary weapon.
Indeed, but the fact that he is capable of this happy “I’m not like that anymore” retirement is why for as evil as the master is I consider davros worse. On some level the master is capable of redemption, davros was given an eternity to rethink his life and was still the same horrid creature he always was by the end.
Beevers and Roberts are AMAZING in Masterful. It’s my favourite BF audio I’ve listened to because it did the impossible, it made me like Roberts as the Master and LOVE Beevers’ crispy master. Missy and Jo were also amazing together & I really enjoyed Alex Macqueen’s Master (this is the first time I’d experienced his Master). 10/10 also your animation made me giggle so good job hahaha
Yeah, i listened to Masterful, but didn't really understand the resolution to it. So there's a big entity of the Master's evil going around eatin shit and stuff, Jo dies, the Other Masters die, and Missy straight up dies. How does that reslove the story? how does everything return to normal? Was that an alternate timeline or a parallel universe or something, i just don't get it, what happened there?

Crispy really should have stopped and thought about this. If it works out with Kitty and his appearence is fine, why would he regenerate into (well he doesn't regenerate but still) Roberts? It's not like Roberts is with Kitty, he should doubt the info purely because of who it's from.
