I just watched 30 of these episodes and I feel like every time the bride says yes it’s always the Same fit and flare dress with the illusion neck and back?!?!

Agreed, looks like the consultants on the UK version are pushier about upping their commission. I meant in terms of what's available for the price.
You also gotta remember that British Pounds into CAD/US dollars is like, double the number almost. 2000 pounds is almost 4k CAD.

@@chubbybunny6975 don't know why I didn't see this before, but in my original comment I specifically said "as an American," plus I put the exact conversion (at the time) from pounds to USD in there, as well. I've seen some of the Canadian bridal shows and it feels eerily similar to me as watching UK SYTTD. $1500 CAD? No problem, pretty dresses are available. $1100 (current conversion) USD? Good luck - maybe you should consider OTR.
The UK series are very distrespectful of their customers. They keep getting affordable ones to the brides that have no budget limit and expensive ones to the ones who do have a budget.
Come on! She tried dresses in her price range and didn't like them, nor did her entourage. She warned them the desired style came with a bigger price tag. They gave her the go and were very happy with the end result. If you want to eat caviar, you'll have to pay for caviar. You can't get it for the price of meatloaf.

I don't understand why some mothers are so rude to their daughters. You could see it made Kirstie upset. Personally I don't see why a parent should need to have a say in what the dress looks like. After all it's not them getting married.

Motivation Tips An opinion is fine, that’s why the bride brought them along to the fitting. It’s the way the mom was talking to/looking at her daughter that bothers me. Really discouraging and rude for such a humble and beautiful bride.
because the parent is paying for it. Don't want people to have a say, pay for it yourself.
remember shows are heavily edited. and my mum was extremely funny before her comment! and we had a long discussion how my figure was swamped. my feeling were not hurt one bit!

Honestly, Zoe is the only consultant in the uk version that doesn’t go over budget for every single bride without getting the bride and her family’s permission
The only time a budget is not stuck to is if the style the bride want is no where in that budget ! Some brides go in with a budget that is not realistic to the dress style !!!

The third dress was very different from the second. It may have had a similar style, but the way it hung on her body, the train, the type of lace, the fit, were dramatically different. The third one was gorgeous and she looked amazing !

Dando London is part owner of the uk store, that's why they always try on sell a lot of those dresses.

Well she went over by £600 before taxes. That's not the worst ever. IDK their finances, but the bride doesn't seem very entitled. Mom seems happy.
I'd assume VAT was included already, in which case it's £600 over all in. Unless they do it without VAT included which is sneaky, I've not seen many things without it included. Not brilliant for budget, but mum is paying.

Is it just me or was there not much difference in the second and the third dress..
it's just you.... come on there's a HUGE difference... first one was too bland and looked boring and something a grandma would have worn on her day.... the one she chose was modern and looked GORGEOUS on her.... you can tell quality is better too

Kirstie Evans I loved this clip. It's my fave because of the sincere thought about going over the budget and how your mother didn't think it twice to gift you with your dream dress. In a lot of other clips it's the bride that without even thinking about the cost convince their parents to go over the budget and they agree because they have no other choice! This was so kind and honest. I kinda see myself and my mom in yours whenever I really really like something expensive and not just because I'm being irrational or bratty

I didn’t think so, they were just honest, my mom is always honest too but they know their daughter well and obvsly want the best for them. And she didn’t hesitate to up the price, she’s actually a great mom.
What! Why would you even think her mum is rude? She has a budget but completely doesn’t want her daughter’s special day to be put down wearing some dress she doesn’t love or look confidence in.
And the Mum did not hesitate at all to stretch her budget.
I think the salesgirl was the one who was being rude, constantly mentioning about their dress comes with price blablabla and she completely stole the bride’s spotlight.
Mum only really need to spend more money getting her brows redone. She will totally rock with new Brows ❤️

You know mothers.....if she tried on different styles of dresses, why do you have to critisize so much, just say, not the one, next. These brides are under enough stress so remember when you critisize it breaks their hearts and their spirits. Be kind, it really doesn't hurt.
