It took me a while to find the perfect dress but I’m so glad I haven’t had to change my shape to feel comfortable in it. I’ve found the dress that fits me and I’ve not made myself fit the dress. Fat people, fat women especially, are being very much sold the idea that all your problems will go away if you just lose weight. It's worth remembering that someone is profiting off it, whether through diet pills or having to buy less fabric. There's not a magical weight or size where you'll love and be happy when you get there, you'll be happy when you are love yourself regardless of how your body changes or what it looks like.

You can look and should feel beautiful no matter the weight, just know that in the long term, excess weight causes problems, if not now, but in a decade or two. At the end it’s one’s choice and the more power to them. It’s not about being judged, but about living a fulfilled life.

I love how that dress looks, but I wouldn't wear it on my day because its physically too tight around the thighs to be able to walk and move how I want to.

My heart breaks for her. I can completely relate as a bride to be who lost a lot of weight and found it difficult to pick a dress because I’m also a people pleaser. In the end I finally picked the dress of my dreams, but it was a very anxiety provoking process and I second guessed myself on every dress until I found “the one”. That last dress was STUNNING on her. Her friends were so supportive as well. Having lost weight myself, I really struggled to even see a slight change in my body when I looked in the mirror, even when everyone else said they could see a noticeable change. The 3rd dress was lovely, yet I do think the 2nd dress looked great on her, she just wasn’t ready to accept it which was a pity!
