Thank you for actually doing flexibility testing on these resins. It's impossible to find any actual worthwhile review demonstrations of HeyGears stuff.
Thanks for the details on this review and the comparisons between this and the GKTwo. I think the long-term value of this model if you can afford the high entry point makes is very plug and play at a higher level of detail and less headaches post processing. I wonder if they plan to come out with a new model, I would be interested in that for sure.
You would think they would come out with another model, although I haven't heard anything about plans for it in the pipeline.
I agree with you in regards of the X1C, I got one and really impressed.
I would love for them to send me a machine for review to my channel. Great video. Thank you for making it.
Cheaper resin but uses more support material. Would be curious if the extra resin you're using on the supports offsets the savings. That would probably be a pretty difficult analysis though since the supports needed will vary from print to print.
Really love the idea of auto supports that just work, enough so to even invest in a closed ecosystem like this but the cost is still too high for me to pull the trigger at the moment.
No, the difference with more supports isn't enough to offset the savings--it isn't that much more unless you are doing a crazy amount of supports.
How does pap10 and parp10 compare to phrozen 8k resin in terms of detail and quality? Using phrozen on a GK2
After you prime and paint the minis, especially using speed paints that rely on the paint to pool more in lower areas than the higher areas so its darker in those lower areas, is there much difference between the 2 resins you compared? Id be interested to see some still images of these two models after priming them and then painting them. (As far as how much of those scale details on the chin are still visible and more importantly help with painting using speed paint type paints. Because regular paints you end up blending in lighter colors to create your own shadows and highlights.) Would you be willing and have time to test out priming and painting and showing how that looks after 1 coat of each?
That would be great to know. Good idea
That's a good idea. I'll try it out when I return from vacation!
