Good Question. On a ‘regular tourist’ safari I have never heard of any animals being killed by tourists. Animals ALWAYS have right of way which is why they are allowed to do anything THEY want including chasing vehicles, jumping on a vehicle, etc. If a tourist does something stupid like scaring the animal, getting out of the vehicle etc. the tourist is to blame, Animals are killed by man due to a) poaching mostly for the asian market and b) paid hunting mostly by americans and russians. The latter takes place in places like South Africa and Zimbabwe, two countries I NEVER travel too. Kenya banned paid hunting in the 70’s that’s my favorite place to visit and take tourists

They are wild but also somewhat used to people. Cheetahs are so sweet natured. There are also pyhsi9cally very fragile compared to all other big cats. Check out their feet. They're small like a German Shepherd's feet. I say 'small' because when you compare them to the size of even a cougar, look how big the cougar's feet are, and their claws are retractable thus the claws are very sharp. A Cheetah's claws are like a big dog, they're not sharp enough to be fatal to humans. I am concerned about their survival in the wild, their populations is now so small.
