EU4 Ternate and Tidore are underrated nations that start with the most expensive Cloves trade good and can SPAWN more of such provinces through the mission tree

Golem: "This is such an unpopular region!"
Me, who plays 90% of his runs there: O_O
Fun fact, Nusantara is also the Malay/Indonesian name for this region! This campaign was rad, I study SEA for my grad program and it's always cool to see someone playing in the region!
Nusantara means Outer Island the word was first used by javanese to call the archipelago
Really cool campaign, my dude. Very enjoyable to watch.
Love your videos man
Keep going!!
Love to see more
its not because we care about Tidore... we love your commentary Golem
Really appreciate your videos my dude, keep going strong, you deserve more subs!
thanks a lot man!
You could give some provinces to vassals to reduce OE.
bro about to attract indonesianclassic kids😂
Indonesia is so cool. I learn bahasa indonesia and I highly recommend learning this language. It is very easy. In EU4 I have done many runs in Indonesia and always come back.
mantep bang
Nusantara was a stupidly chosen name for the new capital (Jokowi's government doesn't really adhere to etymology), the term Nusantara means the whole region of Malay archipelago Nusa means island, and antara means in-between.
Can you pls play some agressive Ottoman campaign

Why is the video quality so low when it is 720p20?
Hmm, i didn't change any settings apart from using the graphics mod since the last video

I don't think its the region per say that's unpopular. I think its what you need to do IN this region that's unpopular. First of all, you basically HAVE to have the Leviathan DLC for any of the mission trees in this regions, and the Leviathan DLC is extremely unpopular because it is more or less 15$ to objectively make your game worse if you don't play in this region, in addition to it being overpriced for what it gives. Second of all, Naval combat. Naval combat in any Paradox game is never particularly engaging, but EU4 naval combat might be the worst of all the ones who feature naval combat. Most regions you can just not bother with a navy, certain nations like Spain, UK, Japan notwithstanding, but in this region you HAVE to have a navy. Moreover, every nation in this region will also have substantial navies and those nations will always form decent alliance networks with other nations of the same cultures and religions. Finally, expansion in this region can be very slow because of the naval focus, as well as the colonial focus for all the uncolonized islands that you NEED to colonize before the Europeans arrive, and most importantly, many of the nations in this area focus on tributaries and vassals instead of straight conquest.
15:47 Its very rare for natives to accept enforce peace when they declare on your CNs for some reason. I don't think the AI can properly account for your strength as their overlord, the same reason why Burgundy would declare on Liege and get ass blasted by the entire HRE.
28:50 I think that nation gets an event to make one of their other provinces a gold mine as well, so you would end up with 2 gold mines in the end at the expense of having to re-annex them.
I'm confused. How does Leviathan make one's game worse? The only DLC that I've heard people not like is El Dorado due to the auto exploration mechanics.
people like the region, the problem is a hard to play with this nations
