Absolute banger as always. Small tidbit btw-> if you get 3 strong nation to support your independent, Burgundy will let you go(abandoned Personal union). And latter if you have position opinion with burgundy, you get the Royal marriage and burgundian inheritance afterwards with dutch minor nation.

I'd say the best thing is likely to put spy merchant in champagne, then get as close as possible to 100 spy network in Burgundy. This will reduce AE by 30% and you can get all the provinces then instead of war reparations. Then you can move the merchant to rhineland and improve relations once peaced out.

you can go even faster if you start as Burgundy, do the inheritance into eating all your vassals, join the Empire and then become holland

Golem im just gonna tell you, you have some of the lore wrong. Nicaea was part of byz for a long time in this mod but only recently split after the leader of the nation who was a general for the byzantines was not well rewarded for his services so he took what he could in asia minor and just became the king of that area

Very nice, but have you ever thought about checking out the Lost World modmod for Ante Bellum? It adds a bunch of New World content with the most recent update, as well as making a bunch of flavor for a bunch of Roman Contenders (from the Mad Duke of Capua reviving a christianized Sol Invictus to the march of the Sarukhanids to make a Zoroastrian Rome), as well as extra flavor for the Hellenic Empire.

I you want to you can also install the Lost World mod for Ante Bellum. It basically enhances the Byzantium and Nicea experience
