    Excellent info as always and nicely presented. Used the same type of drill in Wing Chun and Kenjutsu. A lot of people end up on a tightrope or over-extended, instead of moving their core/centre of gravity.

    I've heard some FMA instructor teach footwork to his student for about 45-60 minutes, he said because footwork is so important. I'm just beginner in martial art, so still don't understand why footwork is so important. Isn't footwork in fighting is something that came naturally to all human...part of our basic instinct...? Can you give us some example, some sword/stick fighting training that use good footwork vs bad footwork...? I think I can understand better if I see the example...
