several years ago, when I was a young teen (approaching a decade ago, jeez), i got my braces on, and I was in so much pain that I couldn't sleep. I found this video and it was the only thing that I could sleep to for weeks. i was devastated when the video disappeared and my heart SOARED when it was re-uploaded. now anytime I can't sleep, I play this. filled with comfort instantly, every time. now when I hear the original music, I can't help but think of these beautiful piano covers. thank you ❤️❤️
I am playing this music every morning welcoming my kindergarten students to classroom. The music brings calmness as they enter and play quietly waiting for class to begin. Thank you.
I found this 3 almost 4 years ago in my darkest days, a NICU hoping my daughter would live... this playing in the background faintly, between beeps and bells of her machines, today I helped her get her Jammies on to this and have put her little sister to sleep with it... thank you for being the peace in my life.... eternally grateful xox
Glad to hear your daughter is doing well. Having gone through something similar with my son two years ago, I can empathize. An incredibly trying experience if there ever was one to begin motherhood or fatherhood like that, but made us aware from the start how precious and fragile this life we brought into the world really was.
its pouring raining and my bedroom windows are all open. the sun just set and my dog is fast asleep, curled up on my bed while i am doing homework. i feel so peaceful right now.
I downloaded this on my phone in 2018 and went to Taiwan. I visited a mountainside town called Jiufen overlooking the sea. There was a rumour for a long time that it was the visual inspiration for Spirited Away, which turned out not to be true but it does match it beautifully and they sold lots of Ghibli merch there. My memory of sitting by the window at a mountainside tea house, sipping tea and listening to these songs while gazing out at the forests and the sea was my best memory from that whole trip. I'll cherish it forever.
Same here, since my first kid was born in 2019. 4 years and a half later, I am still here in this video every night, making him and his 2 years old sister fell asleep 😅
Is it just me or does anyone else also feel super emotional with a sad undertone when listening to these masterpieces? It's definitely relaxing, but for some reason, this music weighs down on my chest.
Part of it may be a little nostalgia, like looking back at a more simple, innocent time- and realizing you will never see the world the same way again.
A devastating earthquake struck the city where I live. As the city collapsed, my soul took a deep blow. I listen to this playlist to get over this trauma and it helps me
There is something so amazing about the songs in all the studio ghibli films, something which cannot be explained by words, but rather by the incredible feelings you get from listening to them.
Whoever is reading this, you are healed, you are loved, you are worthy, I love you. Everything is temporary, everything is changing and you will come out of this hard time shining so brightly like the beautiful star that you are. Great things are coming your way 💖
Every night, my 2 kids, 2.5 and 4, go to bed to this music. It's been this way since my first was born, almost 4 years ago. They ask for it now and fall asleep instantly! Perfection.
The current phase in my life is rather...exhausting. I'm studying 24/7 for med school. I still have 1,5 years to go, but looking back ghibli music has accompanied through so many years... sometimes i think without this music, i would have not made it throughout the years because it gets lonely pretty fast living like this... This music makes me feel less alone and takes me to a place where my soul can rest a little... even when I'm studying. Hahaha.
Med school isn't a place where one can easily survive, and this is indeed a music i had on playlist for years too , it gets hard and lonely and ghibli vibes give me a child like light feeling amidst all the pressure, now I've got my diploma and I'm a resident studying to become a psychiatrist and i still always come here , so let me tell you hope you get through med school and get to all you've ever dreamed of 💚
I am literally playing this everytime I shower because of sensory problems (noise of water). I'm autistic. This helps me, and ONLY this, when I'm having a Shutdown/ Meltdown. Thank you for literally making my life so much easier. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart.
Growing up in an Asian household, Ghibli movies were bigger than Disney to me. I was often bullied for referencing Totoro or Spirited Away, but I still look back on those films and the music very fondly. Things weren't great back then, but I was really happy. This music makes me happy :)
I am related to you in another way. People keep asking me why I choose unpopular music as if it was an unwise thing to do and waste of time. When this collection exploded 1M now 2M, my way of music, faith of choice becomes hard solid as if nothing can sway me.
I'm a 27 year old woman who is suffering from horrible mental health issues. Some days I just want to die so the severe stress, anxiety, and depression would go away. It is as unobtrusive as it is soothing; it is sublime, refreshing, graceful and freeing :) Thank you for creating the perfect playlist that helped me get through many productive sessions!
This is the playlist that helped me finished my final thesis. I can't believe how much simply listening to music can relieve myself from stress and pulling me out from slump.
As a child I could not understand Japanese cartoons, they looked so odd from a western perspective and they were so different from Disney. As an Adult I love the difference and their story lines, so beautiful!

The music in all ghibili films always give me a sense of infinity. Whenever I hear songs from ghibili films I always imagine myself in endless green field with a cool breeze, and a blue sky with bright white clouds. It’s very nostalgic as ghibili playlists were always played when my dad was driving my family to a trip or on our way home from a trip.
I've been playing this on my Google speaker in the kitchen these last few days and my high school sister commented that it made her feel so relaxed. Now I like to play it daily after I pick her up from school. It's so tranquil and allows me to still have a conversation with my aunt without being noisy. I can also clean the house with it playing. Thank you so much for sharing this list with us 💗

This year was very hard for me, i need to study for my college entrance, do a bunch of assignment and test. This music is a great inspiration and motivation for me to keep going. Thank you
You're going to do great! I'm in college still; it's definitely challenging work, but it's also really rewarding and totally worth the stress of applying. Best of luck to you!
First listened to this playlist my freshman year of college and now listening to it during my first month of a full-time job. It's probably been my best and most consistent study companion!
"My Neighbour Totoro" brought tears to the corner of my eyes. It's beautiful and it makes me feel nostalgia for something that doesn't exist. I've heard these notes countless times before and wondered where they came from. Whoever composed these (apparently, it's someone called Joe Hisashi) is an amazing human being and I hope that they feel the same happiness that they are providing to their listeners!
it's been 4 years already? damn. now im a year away from graduating college. this was the music i always played when i was reviewing for college entrance exams.
When I lived in Japan as a child Ghibli was such a part of the background and like most things I never really paid mind to it, I had only seen 3 of their movies before. But nowadays I’m in love with Ghibli and wish I had been more appreciative of living in Japan
I used to go to Japan when I was a child quite frequently to meet with my extended family over there. They would always let me watch studio Ghibli movies ever since a young age, like Totoro XDD though I didn't understand much as I wasn't fluent in Japanese yet. I hadn't visited them for a while when I first heard this collection, and it brought back so much nostalgia for me. I had TH-cam on shuffle whilst I was studying, and I heard Umi no Meiru Machi - recognising it immediately, but I could not tell where it was from. I checked the tab to see this video, and I've been coming back to it ever since I first found it 5 years ago. I haven't visited my family in a while, due to the pandemic and my own exams preventing me from doing anything other than studying. However, I do hope that I'll be able to return to them once again. Thank you for such a lovely collection!! It really helps me to feel better :))
oh my goodness same, i havent seen my grandmother and some of my cousins in years. im really glad there are other people with similar experiences though, where i live theres almost no japanese people i can talk to! thank you for sharing your memory random stranger, have a nice day :>
I know nobody may see this but I wanted to just put my gratitude out there. I just want to thank this channel for their relaxing, stimulating tunes as they help me on the daily. I recently came down with the flu and had a hard time relaxing.. I tried and tried to take as many naps as possible so that I could at least have a little bit of peace
Listening to this with my highschool sweetheart. She turned me to the ghibli collection and we’ve never turned our backs since. I’m in love with the culture it brings and the music speaks a second language only ghibli could help you understand.
I used to listen to this all the time way back in high school almost 6 years ago studying for my IB exams. Today I stumbled upon it again for the first time since graduating high school while studying for my final semester of college. The nostalgia of this playlist almost has me in tears. I hope this shows just how impactful music has on the world
Yes I totally get what you mean. I used to listen to this 2 years ago and that was before I had a hard time in my studies and with my family. So when I listen to it now I get a really good feeling, it kinda relieves me and i have to cry.
Just listening theses masterpieces during my travel on the train.. I feel like I'm a principal character of one of Ghibli's movie. It's like I'm going to a wonderful world...
It is a daily habit for me to listen to these music when i need to relax and zone out from the world... I legit feel like all the strees and worries im having at the moment are taken away from me

This playlist is really wonderful for several reasons: -First, there is the musical technique which is impressive and really innovative, there are many varied styles. -Then, there are the memorable passages of these works that are full of emotions, they remain anchored in our minds. -Finally, there is a much more personal and almost spiritual side that I find hard to explain. Let's say that these films and their music really touched me, with a grandiose beauty, when I was a child. When I listen to these works, I am crossed by a huge wave of nostalgia and emotions that come like images that make you cry, from the time when I was carefree! It's really hard to explain but personally, I have always been absorbed by the universe of Myazaki. And I think I'm not the only one to feel that way... To finish, I wish you a good day ! Spend some time with your family, take some time for yourself, work on your goals, in short develop yourself, I'm going to see "My neighbor Totoro" again 👋 Edit: Sorry if I am not clear in my expression, I am French
Studio Ghibli stands as an unparalleled masterpiece, a testament to the seamless fusion of music, animation, and storytelling that transcends individual elements.
I listen to this music every time I need to get my work done. Thank you so much; this music brings calmness as I type and think quietly in my office. I never skipped any music because i love ghibli so much!
If you’re carrying the weight of worry or anxiety, I wish for you the grace to let go of what no longer serves you. Imagine a future where your heart feels lighter and your mind is free to explore new possibilities. May you find moments of joy and inspiration that help you believe in your own resilience.
I remember as a child, I used to watch Ghibli films with my parents, and that my parents would go out of the way just to get me the DVDs for the movies for us to watch as a family during movie nights. I never appreciated it as much as a kid but it really hits you when you're now on your own studying abroad and only seeing them once a year. Listening to this just reminded me of those times and that I need to make this temporary separation period from them worthwhile. All the best to everyone and just know that someone else may be in the same situation as you are, thus you're never alone ❤
This exact collection was played for both my boys as babies. It relaxed both of them so much and now listening to this I feel like I can hold them in my arms again as tiny babies 🥲 lovely happy memories
I found this collection in December while looking for music to study to and I have never in my life been able to concentrate harder. Just,,, gorgeous work
I chose piano versions of Kaze no Tani no Naushika from Nausicaa and Merry Go Round from Howl's as our wedding ceremony music and now every time I hear those songs, it reminds me of that beautiful moment and that day.
My cat died. His soul brought me here today. I wrote many songs on my TH-cam channel but nobody will watch. I want to die so I can start living. Meow 🐱
the picture is very well chosen. It is a scene in Totoro that is a hidden reference to the first time Hayao Myasaki and Hisao Takahata met. It was revealed by Hayao Myasaki at Hisao Takahata's funeral.
this is the new soundtrack of my life, i already liked it on spotify and i wish the best to the artist! this is such a masterpiece, i can't stop listening.
Same for me. I stumbled on it by the picture. It calmed me, I feel peaceful and relaxed. I will def listen to it every morning. Ty, I'll look for it on Spotify. A True Masterpiece. I like the lady who plays it for her kindergarten class 1st thing in the morning ! 💕💕💓💓💗💗💖💖
This was the first Ghibli OST playlist I heard. Then I started to discover many others, but even today I think that this particular video has something that makes it the best Ghibli playlist on TH-cam. Arigato gozaimasu!!!
I started to listen to this music since i was in my 2nd year at college. Now I listen to it while i'm a Project Engineer at a huge organization. It's feels odd to me, it makes me think about my life where it start and where it will end with all of the good, bad and painful experience that i have been through or will be in future... man i really don't know why i'm writing this …
Normally I listen to the same soundtrack for a week or two, but since I heard this one at the end of 2018 I have never been able to stop listening to it, to sleep, travel, think, work. Very well done
I've been listening to this playlist for 3 years and I just realized it was released on my birthday (I know it's a small thing but it makes me somewhat happy inside)
I live in the USA, in the the state of Missouri. Your videos make me want to come and visit the sites and eat at the various restaurants to try new foods. Unfortunately due to various reasons, I am not able to do this. But your videos is the next best thing to being there. You guys are such a loving, caring family. Thank you for the joy you bring me.
this playlist got me through my last year of college and on to the presidents list for my last semester. Fingers crossed it gets me through my licensing exam

The piece I meant specifically was "Kaze No Toori Michi" - I apologise for not mentioning it in my comment, I forgot to specify >
Path of the wind 😉
It does exist, it exists in our minds and memories
it's been 4 years already? damn. now im a year away from graduating college. this was the music i always played when i was reviewing for college entrance exams.
jeez time goes by fast
Dam, your right. Also congrats!
it's been 7 years already for me, I used to listen to this back in 2015 to get some comfort when I was bullied at school
Time flies !!

This music just make feel at peace. I've been stressed lately but thanks to this i feel a little better.
It really helps me to feel better :))
oh my goodness same, i havent seen my grandmother and some of my cousins in years. im really glad there are other people with similar experiences though, where i live theres almost no japanese people i can talk to! thank you for sharing your memory random stranger, have a nice day :>
Thanks for the best reading playlist!
You are the 1st super thank. I cant thank you enough.
@@Vangakuz awe you're so so welcome! Thanks for putting up this wonderful playlist!
This is so far the best soundtrack for Ghibli piano relaxing music i've ever heard. I tried others soundtrack but still go back to you!
Yes 🤍
Hopefully my p2 can do the same justice th-cam.com/video/KRp9jUzqtNA/w-d-xo.html
omg me too bc this literally has the best songs and is the longest💪💪💪
I am a librarian, every time I play this music in the library room. The music brings calmness and the students felt happy. Thank you
I used to listen to this all the time way back in high school almost 6 years ago studying for my IB exams. Today I stumbled upon it again for the first time since graduating high school while studying for my final semester of college. The nostalgia of this playlist almost has me in tears. I hope this shows just how impactful music has on the world
Good luck for you:)
Yes I totally get what you mean. I used to listen to this 2 years ago and that was before I had a hard time in my studies and with my family. So when I listen to it now I get a really good feeling, it kinda relieves me and i have to cry.
I suffer from sleep insomnia and this music really help me a lot when I can't sleep. Thank you so much for this!

Just listening theses masterpieces during my travel on the train.. I feel like I'm a principal character of one of Ghibli's movie. It's like I'm going to a wonderful world...

This playlist is really wonderful for several reasons:
-First, there is the musical technique which is impressive and really innovative, there are many varied styles.
Spend some time with your family, take some time for yourself, work on your goals, in short develop yourself, I'm going to see "My neighbor Totoro" again 👋
Edit: Sorry if I am not clear in my expression, I am French
❤❤
ghibli animes and ghibli music make me stay present, enjoy the moment, and stop thinking. Such a blessing!
Although most people use this for studying and doing homework I think this is great for just an enjoyable summer afternoon or evening.
I've been deeply in love with movies since I was ten years old. The Ghibli filmmakers are the only ones that bring the magic of that age back to life.
Couldnt imagine surviving university or going through my work day each day without this. Thank you.
I’ll still miss those days long gone. No matter what.
I almost started yapping about my childhood being shit like im the only mf on earth 💀
My fourth grade teacher used to play this, and suffering in middle school I decided to listen to it again..😢
Hey, there are plenty of stranger over there sending you love and courage ❤ Keep up the faith in the future and yourself, things always get better
Thank you, Studio Ghibli for making my childhood so bright and magical
It's amazing how this music mixes sadness but also a light hearted joy at times.
I am currently writing a novel to this and I cannot stress enough how much it has helped me focus, thank you!
The novel will be studio ghibli flavored

Arrietys song and Mononoke hime will always have a special place in my heart, amazing work
This exact collection was played for both my boys as babies. It relaxed both of them so much and now listening to this I feel like I can hold them in my arms again as tiny babies 🥲 lovely happy memories
I can't count the number of nights I'ves spent studying to this music, replaying it over and over again. It's amazing.
just made myself some breakfast in my apartment full of plants and three cats. with this playing in the background, there’s no better morning
Best morning routine, joy, smile some tears sometimes but it's the music of life.
I've been listening to this playlist every night for 5 years to fall asleep, and I can't do it without it. Thank you ❤

Escucho esta melodía a las 2 de la madrugada y automáticamente viajo en el tiempo y llego a mi niñez , me lleno de tristeza y nostalgia.
Never watched Ghibli growing up, yet whenever I watch them now I feel nostalgic.
the picture is very well chosen.

It's feels odd to me, it makes me think about my life where it start and where it will end with all of the good, bad and painful experience that i have been through or will be in future... man i really don't know why i'm writing this …
To the person who's reading this. I hope you'll get better, and everything will be okay. Sleepwell!!! 😍😍😍
studio Ghibli is one of the most creative studios I've ever watched, I love "spirited away"
Normally I listen to the same soundtrack for a week or two, but since I heard this one at the end of 2018 I have never been able to stop listening to it, to sleep, travel, think, work. Very well done
I thank the coincidence that put me on this earth for being able to live in the same time line as the person playing the piano so perfectly.
I've been listening to this playlist for 3 years and I just realized it was released on my birthday (I know it's a small thing but it makes me somewhat happy inside)
My Japanese teacher would always put this whenever we were doing classwork, and I use it so much to study and it gives me such nostalgia!
