Marianna Shaikhly is a fourth-year medical student from the Northeast who earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Rhode Island College. She participates in multiple volunteer experiences and is passionate about providing equitable and comprehensive care, especially to women in underserved communities. This includes working at a free clinic in Atoka, Oklahoma, where she can complete well-women exams, increasing preventive screening options for uninsured people. Furthermore, she has expanded her knowledge of women’s health through her time spent in rural Oklahoma hospitals, completing multiple research projects driven by the unique population she has been able to work with. Along with research and volunteering, Marianna enjoys playing basketball, soccer, thrifting, and spending time with her family and friends.
