Congratulations, you are my hero. Thank you once again for doing the vlog so I can get a feel for what it takes to do something like this. All the best!
Jake, congratulations on completing another long trail, and thank you for bringing us all along with you! Now you gotta do the CDT, I'm pretty sure that's a rule :). Regardless of what you do next in life I sincerely wish you joy and happiness.
Congrats, Jake! It looked like a great adventure! Man, if you’re an RN, why not become a traveling nurse and go see the country. Hell, if you want to go get a sweet van and travel in the that as you work….then hike in between gigs! You got the hard part over (having the degree)…go make that job fun ! 😊. Take care and keep us updated. Zman
DUUUUDEE!!! Congratulations Jake!! Hammer-Hollywood does it again! So stoked to get to share in each and every one of these vids along your journey. Can't wait to see what comes next for you. I can't believe it's over and I don't get to just keep on binge watching your vlogs, trying to catch up. I'm going to go back now and watch your entire AT series. Carry on, my man. Carry on. Looking forward to the gear vids, etc, and what the hell ever else comes your way that you feel like sharing : ) Cheers "f*&ker!" lol
Congratulations. Thank you for taking us along on your journey. Lots for you to unravel and decompress once you get home. Come to NZ and walk the Te Araroa!
Also, thanks so much for sharing your journey. It must've sucked to spend time earmarked for rest and do all the editing, then editing while hiking, what a sacrifice you made for all of us, thank you thank you! Paul
Congratulations unreal journey and has been fun watching you through. It was kind of funny I found your channel trying to come up with ideas for a backpack elk hunt I was doing off the pct just past white pass in Washington this September. One night at work on you tube sent me down a rabbit hole and I ended up watching your whole journey.. congratulations on your accomplishment and thanks for the hours of entertainment
Happy Birthday CC 🥳 What a way to celebrate!! Congratulations on the finish of your continuous footpath. What an awesome adventure. This has been great entertainment but also inspiring :) I do hope you find the sweet spot in life that allows you to have what you want / need. I am definitely going to miss you! Can hardly wait to hear what adventure is next. Thanks for the great time ❤️
Congratulations on completing your continuous footpath. I have enjoyed watching your journey. You kept it real. Going to miss watching you on a daily basis. Best of luck in your future endeavors 🏔
Congratulations! I just turned 60, I have done a lot of stupid shit. Never regret anything. Those experiences make you the person you become as you grow. I didn't hike, I don't really hike, But I enjoy good channels and watching how people react to seeing new country. You and Chap are both awesome down to earth channels I have had fun watching. Tell CC Congratulations and hell of a job as well.
Jake "Hollywood" Wise, thank you for your efforts to not only complete your trek, but also for going the extra mile to bring us along. I also straddle two worlds with one foot in each -- one in Japan, and one in the USA. Likewise, you do, too -- one foot in the world of thru-hiking and outdoor adventure, and one in so-called "civilization." As you "process" the post-trail emotions and ups and downs, I think what you will really be doing is searching for a bridge between those two worlds -- how you can synthesize the thesis of "civilization" with the apparent antithesis of outdoor adventure. Ultimately I think you will come to realize that, indeed, YOU are the embodiment of that synthesis. You ARE the bridge. Your efforts to share your trek through your vlog and, what's more, your repeated entreaties to viewers with a dream to hike the trail to get out and do it indicate your passion to connect the two worlds. Thank you for the inspiration. I hope you will keep in touch with your followers from time to time. Wherever the trail of life may lead, please -- Be safe; keep at it!
Proud of you Jake, good job and great integrity in terms of connecting the steps as not everyone does it right like that. Look forward to a review of all of your gear, what worked, what sucked what would you take again, etc. Take care, Paul
Loved the adventure. I hope you find your way after the trail. I'm sure you will just find a quiet place, get comfortable, and just listen . Drink one for tribe , peace.
Loved hearing more about you and your past. Be thankful you've been given a vision and DONT settle for less. Every day, make one small decision that leads you towards the life you desire.
Good morning party man, and congratulations from Germany on your finished hike! It was a pleasure hiking with you, through your videos, this awesome adventure! Thanks man! I appreciate your personality, you are such a personable guy who has become the star of the show over the past few months (I followed several pct hikers this season) I wish you all the best! I hope you find good places and like minded people to hang out with. Thanks again for taking us with you.
I think we all feel you on trying to figure out how to balance things. I'm 19 years into a logistics job that was only supposed to last a year. Not the best pay but I've logged 2 million miles so far and have been all over the west. Its good to have something that let's you embrace the grind and also experience some life. Good luck with the next section of trail. Trail doesn't really ever end, until it really ends. Cheers.
Congratulations 👏🏻 So so happy for you 🤗 Get home and everything will fall in to place Jake! Do a trek in Nepal it looks amazing 😊 Please keep us updated with your life, I for one am going to miss you dearly ❤
Thanks again for keeping it real and bringing the PCT to those of us that can't be there (yet). Seems to me that you have been in reality on the hike. The daily grind should not be our reality. Anyway, congratulations again and I look forward to whatever you bring us next. Oh - and pass along a happy birthday to Ms. Grace. Peace!
Dudely Dude...it must feel so awesome. I'm that guy you were talking about, aging out, close to retirement but now to old to experience what you just did...yes I raised a beautiful family and bought a nice home..but I never had time for anything else...so there are some regrets but I at least got to live through you for a bit..thank you brother,Cheers forever
It’s called Christmas toes. It’s the nerve damage in your feet from walking on rocks for months on end. You’ll get the feeling back in your toes around Christmas. after you get off trail give your feet some good rest.

HW..I’d be interested in how you are doing cold soaking…container used and what food are you using. I might give it a try 😅. Thanks
I didn’t mind it, it was fine. I used a Talenti jar. Pretty much was always eating ramen, knorr sides, or couscous
