Very Helpful! Can’t stress enough to be VERY careful with reassembly of screws. Magnet is very strong and will grab the screw easily. Make sure screw is “set” in driver and be careful
Thanks for this video, I'm able to make due with them until I can afford much better headphones. 👍🎧 These things suck ass so bad. I got two of this exact pair - one broke at the hinge within a week, the other's cord volume buttons fell apart, the cord logos fell off. They're so cheaply made. I hate them with a passion.
Hi, I replaced the main internal wire in my Beats Solo HD, however I am still hearing a quiet and 'tinny' sound from both sides. Do you know what the issue could be? Is any audio jack cable compatible or does it need to be a beats audio cable? thanks
Hi there Joe! My daughers Solo 3 wireless beats have a short in. It is in the wire running between each side, under the head cushioning. I watched videos on how to solder wire that's been broken, etc. I know exactly were the wire broke. Problem is there's no available slack to resolder it. I was wondering if it's possible to maybe use other wire for some cheap earbuds, etc and make "a bridge". Just the only thing I can think of, without having to completely rewire the entire thing...The patch/bride would be no problem cosmetically since it would be hidden under the head cushion. Any help or advice you can give me would be a god send! She is absolutely heartbroken and I am a single mother so self repairing them is my only option.
Both sides work. There's 3 wires that run under the head cushioning. Blue red and black. The short is in the the black wire. What happens is if shook or any pressure applied or removed from the hinge, etc. It will power off then back on and blue tooth will re-pair. So they are pretty useless since it will do that with even the slightest vibration.
My only idea besides completely rewiring them is to use another piece of wire to bridge where the black wire is frayed/shorted. I have found the exact spot within a few milimeter where it is shorting. Unfortunately since it has a connector on each end running a new wire is not as easy as resolderin it at both ends.
Sounds like the main internal wire is damaged. We usually replace the entire wire. If you are interested in getting your headphones repaired you can send them to our repair center. We offer free shipping and diagnostics. Here is a link to begin: www.joesge.com/pages/repair-services -David P
What do you called to the pad so stick on the earpad cushion? I accedentaly remove the one on my earpad when i try to replace it.. Its look like adhesive ? I donno what u call it please help
Thanks for watching! The ear pads on the Solo HD's twist into place and can be held in place more securely by using a small amount of glue on the locking points. Matt D.
@@Joesge is that 3m adhesive ? Im talking about when you twisted the ear pad you can see the black round seems like a thin foam i dont know what it called but that what i want to know..
There is not 3M on this ear pad. The foam on this unit is on the speaker housing and not on the ear pad. The ear pad is put together using a glue to lock it in place.
How do you fix the part that slides back and fourth at 4:38? I almost dropped mine today however, I caught them right before they hit the ground but something overextended inside of it because it's stuck. Now I can no longer adjust the headphones.
I was able to fix the inner panel but now the right side has no traction, like it just slides when I extend it and doesn't make the clickie sound. Do you know how I can repair this?

It was very hard to get the ear pads off. They are also secured with clue, so with some alcohol it was easyer
Happy to hear that helped you

Thanks for the comment. Can you confirm what side of the headphones stopped working? Do both sides work with aux cable?

Where can you find these panels
I have a pair of beats studio 2.0 and the only thing that's wrong with them is that it's cracked above the earmuff would this process work also?
Thanks for watching! This process will work for any damage on the inside panel, as long as it is limited to that area anyway. CH
@@Joesge thank you for your help
No Problem!
I was wanting to know what to do when the left panel is cracked and the extending part is cracked?

Talking about the hinge? Those dont usually break. Usually the headband snaps first.

HOW DO U FIX THE PART WHERE IT SAYS B ABOVE THAT

Miriam de la Torre you probably didn't put the hinge clip in place
@@Joesge my hinge clip on a brand new pair doesn't work. What do I do?
Is this the same process for Beats Studio 2.0 Wireless?
Eliu Rodriguez it isn't. Check our other videos out
+Joe's Gaming & Electronics could u tag the video? My issue is replacing the right inside panel on my Beats Studio 2.0

Thanks for the comment. The process is similar to the wireless 1.0 headphones. What part are you looking for?
