Great video, and a great by-mail repair service provided by the poster. I didn't have the time or patience to do the work myself, but thanks to Fixthebeat.com, my Beats Solo 2's are now working perfectly again. THANK YOU!
Great video...Thanks. Just one add if I may; the tricky rubber pieces are easily pushed thru simply using a very small flat head screwdriver. Just align the driver head in parallel with each rubber piece and push them thru their respective slots. Much easier and a lot quicker than trying to accomplish this step with your fingers. Thanks again for the vid!
Thanks this helped alot had the phones since they were released and after three months they broke i was pissed off and never am buying another beats product by the way but now they work so its a good easy fix for when they break thanks
+Ferdinand Official no I didn't I just use the ear phones that comes with my phone that I got for my birthday I'm just give beats headphones a rest for now... How long did you have them for before it went out?
when I was was watching your video, I was working on mines at the same time, thanks for the help, also mine has a damaged wire in between the speaker and the frame of the right side of the headphones.
Thanks for the video...a day late. lol I figured out how to take them apart but the pins fell out on one side can you tell me how to put them back in? Keep up the good work...very informative.
MsPiggyFarm I figured out how to put the pins in...not the best way but it worked. I took a business card trimmed the long side down very narrow (it has to be able to go into the metal piece) punched a hole with a needle just big enough for the pin to go in so it doesn't move. I punched the hole before I trimmed it. Put one of the pins into the hole and insert the band (with the ear piece) into the metal piece. Take the other pin and insert it into the hole of the business card and get it into the other hole and take a small screwdriver and push it the rest of the way in. Hold it in with the screwdriver while you pull the business card so it tears leaving the other pin in place. Be careful when attaching it to the top of the headband as the pins will easily fall out again. I pushed the first pin in with the screwdriver just to make sure it had not come out any. I hope this helps someone.
thanks, in my case it was the right, the solder to the board with the 3.5mm audio jack was went bad, came out just with a light tug, i'm still replacing the wires just to be safe, and just as more of an annoyance fixer i'm mounting the headphone jack on the outside since it didn't fit some of my aux cables
Hey if you don't want to buy the wire you can just repair the existing wire, mine was severed in two different spots and also wasn't attached to the speaker contacts. All I did was use some electrical tape and copper wire strands twisted together to repair the severed parts and then I just soldered the end of the wire back onto the contacts - easy as cake!
+Oscar Schott it might work for a little while but resoldering wires will never be as strong as it was before it broke. I've had a lot of people try this and end up buying the wire anyway. This is not recommended
hey thanks for the tutorial. great video! I followed along after taking mine apart the wire doesn't seem to be damaged from what I can see... any other suggestions as to what the fix could be for this. mine are wireless 2.0 does that make any difference?
I just got the solo 2 and if you loosen the left head phone jack just a little bit then the right side will start playing. So basically when you plug in the cord into the head phones, don't put it it all the way just put it in most of the way. You just have to play with it and figure it out.
Is there any way to replace the ear pads? I know you can do it for the Solo/ Solo HD, but my ear pads for my Solo 2 are peeling out on the sides and I don't know what to do to fix it.
Ok, so i have some beats solo and studio but my studio work fine. The problem is with the solos and the right ear doesn't work. So i unscrewed them to see if the wires connected to the right speaker were torn from the solder. They weren't and are still connected. Does the mean the right speaker is dead and i need to replace it?
I ripped the wires off my left speaker and ripped a bit of the motherboard with it. Just threw the lot in the trash. I'd advise using a soldering iron to remove the wires
+Fix theBeat my right speaker went out but if i move the beats around and adjusted them on my head the right speaker starts to work but if i barely move then the mess up and when i use the beats without the right side the left side with the aux hole doesnt work sometimes i bought these headphones used and ive had theses for about 3 almost 4 months before they broke any tips on how i can fix them i livei n alabama if you want to email me my email is Gavin Little. Thanks
Underneath my little black sticker where a screw should be is 2 grey hinges and a silver slit in the very Center, no screw in sight. Is there another way for me to disconnect (corpus?) from the main headphone housing?
My right side isn't completely broken because it cuts in out if I position my beats on my head correctly but it's annoying does that mean I need to replace or rearrange in a different position the wire and how do u put the cushion back on glue? Please respond
Stupid me, went to resolder the inner cable from the left to right speaker and I pulled off the solder board on the right speaker. Any estimate on when the solo 2 right speaker on you're site is gonna be restocked? Appreciate it :)
So I got a new beats solo 2 wireless today, but the pause/play button which doubles as the wireless connect/disconnect button seems to be either stuck or nonfunctional.... do you know about this problem? Can it be fixed?
I have some beats wireless and just the other day I put them on and one ear was working. But i just found out that both speakers work when I have the length of the speakers just right. so my left speaker is the one that's faulty, so I can pull that one down all the way. but my right speaker can only go down like 2 notches before the left speaker will stop working. Please help!!!
Ionut Cojocaru hey, best and easy/cheapest way is to put hair clips where it is cracked. Think of it like a brace, u have the metal and the surrounding. So u could use duct tape as the surrounding. Or just use a normal headband, and cut it to its adjustments and either tape it or glue it.
hey my solo 2s is cracked on the left and i guess the speaker on the right went out because of it is it possible to send them to you and have you fix them ?
+phil baeten. Are you still doing repairs for others. If so how much. I just got my solo 2 beats 2 months ago when the right ear suddenly stop working one day
+jaden aguilar. Mine just stopped working on the right. One time though it kept going back and forth, but it never happen again. I just wish I got insurance on it. I didn't know that could happen to beats
Is there a place where I can ship my beats to get them fix. I have the solo hd and my right ear speak was blown. Also, is there a way I can fix it at home?
+Joseph Bills If you just bought them, I think it comes with a warranty. I think you just send it to the company to get it fixed if you have a warranty.
this is hard to explain but on my beats the edge piece came apart and i cant snap it back together and im sure if its because the wire is in the way. i dont know how to fix it
Hi, I ordered a Beats Solo 2 And Solo HD Inner Internal Replacement on 10/20/16, and haven't not received it yet. How can I track the shipment? Please help.
That compressed folded wire is a real problem I've seen it in a couple of pairs. Its the speaker compressing it against the housing. The hole were the wire runs through to the right speak is in the wrong spot. Major design flaw!
my beats have like a short in the right speaker and when i stick a piece in the back of it like in between the speaker moveable part it works but when i take the paper out they dont work
My right side doesn't work but when I tap or bump the left side it works for a minute or two and then goes out again. Do you know what the problem would be?
Hey phil, i was wondering for the beats solo hd inner, how long would it take for me to get them? i live in ontario canada. Is it possible to get the wire at a hardware store?
Something that happened to me was I dropped it and it was simply that the circuit board was glitches so I has to rearrange somethings and turned it back on and it worked
I'm wondering if you could help me? My solo 2 battery garage has stopped working for some reason and I have no idea why or how to repair this!?!?! Any ideas?
I don't know if they come like this but I have used my beats really little and out of the blue my right speaker stopped working. I will open it but as my speaker is working when moving the headset i'm pretty sure it is something similar. Anyway beats has a great sound but the quality is definitely a disappointment!
My right speaker didn't make sound some time after I dropped my headphones, no exterior damage and the right side may occasionally cut on but only briefly, I didn't open them up yet but I think it's safe to assume I have the same problem with the wire.
Great video, and a great by-mail repair service provided by the poster. I didn't have the time or patience to do the work myself, but thanks to Fixthebeat.com, my Beats Solo 2's are now working perfectly again. THANK YOU!

+Ferdinand Official no I didn't I just use the ear phones that comes with my phone that I got for my birthday I'm just give beats headphones a rest for now... How long did you have them for before it went out?

I love how so many people complain about beats and the company hasn't made any improvements with this problem that everyone keeps having.
can you fix my beats solo 2. the right side's not working
hey thanks for the tutorial. great video! I followed along after taking mine apart the wire doesn't seem to be damaged from what I can see... any other suggestions as to what the fix could be for this. mine are wireless 2.0 does that make any difference?
wow i was really considering getting these now im rethinking

You should get the ifixit kit. Look up the name and you can order it online. Cool little repair kit for smaller electronics.
Is there any way to replace the ear pads? I know you can do it for the Solo/ Solo HD, but my ear pads for my Solo 2 are peeling out on the sides and I don't know what to do to fix it.
+Wave Jones just put adhesive back on it
When is the assembly video going to be put out?
I have purchased for you to fix some beats solos, mailed them to you. I have emailed twice, called once, I want to know when the beats will come back!
Ok, so i have some beats solo and studio but my studio work fine. The problem is with the solos and the right ear doesn't work. So i unscrewed them to see if the wires connected to the right speaker were torn from the solder. They weren't and are still connected. I ripped the wires off my left speaker and ripped a bit of the motherboard with it. Just threw the lot in the trash. I'd advise using a soldering iron to remove the wires

Can you show how to take the hinge pins out of the hinge? It doesn't seem to come off!
+Gurjit Singh do not take them out. Just unscrew the whole part from the headband
I don't know if they come like this but I have used my beats really little and out of the blue my right speaker stopped working. I will open it but as my speaker is working when moving the headset i'm pretty sure it is something similar.
