HOW TO UPDATE FIRMWARE OF Eachine EV300O & Skyzone SKY04X

- I just purchased a new set of Eachine EV300Oled Googles and wanted to install the latest firmware to also use the "MIX" function with the Rapidmix receiver module. The procedure is very simple however it was not clear which firmware files were to be used for the DVR, for the actual goggles and the receiver module. Fortunately Daniel from Skyzone helped out. I tried to make it as clear as possible in this video. Please note that according to Daniel the firmwares of Eachine are different to those of Skyzone as the drivers are different, for example the drivers of the goggles are not the same as the OLEDS are different from the Eachine set to those of the Skyzone set. Warning. I did the upgrade exactly as described. The result was no signal anymore. No static. No nothing. Just a black screen on every channel. Luckily, when I moved the module to the other side, I got a signal and was able to sync up with the drone. I was careful to make sure there was no power when removing/inserting the module. Antennas were attached when powering on, etc. The module is okay because it works on the other side but for some reason, the update toasted the left bay.

Did u update both the Goggles and receiver? If yr goggles are new you should contact Eachine as it sounds like a hardware issue..
@@MnM_FPV yes and did already. They are wondering if I seated it correctly. I did for sure. Even moved it back and forth afterwards. The left side is pooched. I wonder if anyone has tested that both sides still work after the upgrade. It’s not something you would notice unless you were forced to check, like I was
Sorry to hear about your issue, a buddy of mine Is using two updated Rapidmix modules and all is well. The receiver bay is so small that it's practically impossibile for u to have done any damage, IMO yours was a hardware issue and therefore Eachine should replace yr faulty goggles.
Yeah that just happened to me there. I switched the module to the other bay and all works fine now. I only get a black screen now from the other bay
Just an update IT WORKS AGAIN!! The only thing I did was when it was in the other good bay I switched it to diversity. Then when I swapped the module back into the bad bay it worked. Give it a try
Now, if they would only do an update for the EV200Ds where you don't have to hold the dvr button down for 10s to turn it on.
I just got these. used them once and they were great I put them back in the case for a few days and get ready to use them again for the weekend and now I just get a black screen on all modes, all channels. I've changed nothing since they worked fine that one day and they've sat completely undisturbed what could have happened?
I thought maybe I should flash the firmware and that's what I did and now they're really broken. still have the black screen but now the menus are all glitched and hardly readable and flashing to any of the firmwares on the website doesnt fix it. another thing to note is that apparently eachine cheaped out and now these don't even ship with the rapidmix module anymore I have to buy that separately. I'm new to this hobby and it's been great flying with my tablet and a cheap video recorder to be able to see while I waited on these to come in. used them once and got hooked and now theyre completely ruined
Uh, thank you for making things clear as the way they provide drivers on their page is a complete mess, especially this ev3000 thing. Whats your impressions about new firmwares, are they worth all this hassle, any improvements?

Nice video mate! Is it possible to flash Skyzone firmware on rapidmix module so you can use it on Sky04x for quadversity?
Thanks, I was told by Daniel from Skyzone not to mix Eachine fw with Skyzone fw as there are a few hardware differences with the goggles. However there should be no hardware differences between the Rapidmix and Steadyview modules, so theoretically speaking yes..
@@MnM_FPV the two modules are almost identical ,but steadyview module is nowhere for sale as individual. That's why i did the question because i am waiting for my Skyzone Sky04x and don't know what to do if i want to try quadversity.

And the race and normal mode work but not steady view

Ciao! Devo ancora aggiornare all'ultima versione🤣 sono andato a vedere sul sito della Eachine ma solo fw A&B. In effetti il fw del DVR sembra funzionare bene, quindi nessun aggiornamento.
@@MnM_FPV In effetti ieri ho avuto occasione di provarli e il DVR funziona molto bene 😁 Unica cosa che ho notato per quanto riguarda il modulo rapidmix è che Skyzone ha rilasciato un FW più recente, la v2.2, mi domandavo se posso flashare tranquillamente o potrebbero esserci incompatibilità con gli ev300o 🤔🤔🤔
@@DoMTr3nD la VRX é identica quindi direi di sì. Male che vada puoi sempre flashare la vecchia versione..
Do same quality oled between eachine vs skyzone?
No the OLEDS are different. Larger FOV and higher resolution with the Skyzones. Everything else is the same

Ciao Daniele, si io ho aggiornato all'ultima versione del FW, così da poter utilizzare la funzione diversity/Mix. A breve uscirà anche nuovo FW con notevoli migliorie al rapidmix
Quindi con il firmware originale non sto sfruttando tutte le sue potenzialità...?!
Il rapidmix lavora come rapidfire? Cioè se utilizzo 2 omni mixa le immagini altrimenti con patch + omni seleziona la migliore?
Esatto, hai descritto bene la funzione mix, inoltre aggiornando il Rapidmix hai compatibilità con più telecamere.

@@calogerocastronovo9851 metti in modalità mix e fai una calibrazione del RSSI con le antenne smontate

La versione è la 1.4 ma appena provo a copiarla mi dà quell’errore 😞
