9 mile, very steep trail to Stout Lakes in the northern Sangre de Cristo mountains. The payoff for the effort is dramatic, rugged scenery you'll not soon forget. Enjoy
Thanks for taking us with you. Been to Colorado years ago, but not much of a chance to go hiking. Living back east, I really enjoyed God’s creation out there.
Yes. I am always thankful for being able to experience share the beauty of Colorado and the Four Corners area. Thanks for watching and subscribing. I've got some new adventures coming soon.
Thanks for watching. It's always a pleasure sharing my outdoor adventures. This destination made for an awesome hike! Please share and subscribe. Cheers!
There is a site or two between the lakes. I didn't see any 200ft restrictions like most high altitude lakes. There is a nice campsite below the main basin beside the small pond that is more sheltered as an alternative. Thanks for watching and please share and subscribe!

Looks great! Stout Lakes was on my list this year - didn't get to it. Next year. How's the road to the trailhead?
Road is dirt from Hwy50 turnoff. Gets a little rough in spots, but nothing most vehicles can't handle.
